Avira, a great free Antivirus
Avira has been around a long time with its free antivirus version of the larger protection suite. It had its ups and downs but the latest versions are really great. With high-speed scans and low system impact, Avira antivirus is really one of the best free antivirus software currently on the market.
The software itself has also received UI & UX updates making it straightforward and easy to use. The virus scanning engine is the same as in paid version that ranks among the top engines in the world for this type of work. The package also gives you some great browser protection and a good firewall as well, there is really no excuse to skip on this if you want a free solution.
The only thing that we would say is not so great in Avira is reporting some false positives, sometimes even for MS updates, it is rare but it can happen.

Malwarebytes Premium is easy to use, simple antivirus solution that shies away from complicated UI, and simply put, it just works. Its scanning engine is well-known and places among the top and best in the world often finding some malware that other can miss.
Another great thing is its integration with Windows itself, it is one of the rare applications that can and will work incredibly well beside your typical Windows protection tools so you can have both of them running at the same time.
Installation and running are really simple and every typical PC user will find it as easy as walking in the park. On the other hand, sadly system impact is a little high and it will have issues running on lower-end systems due to its memory requirements.
Intego MAC Internet Security X9, the best Mac antivirus
Gone are the days when MAC had no virus issues, since MAC rose in popularity among the users, also rose the number of viruses and malware. The system itself has some great protection built it inside but for more security and better control of it, you will need a third-party dedicated solution.

Now that we have covered specific cases of each platform, there is one player that has all of them covered and with a quality product, that player is BitDefender and it is great. Personally, this is my protection suite of choice and as I type this it is running in the background.
Bitdefender has it all, low system impact, as a matter of fact, it is one, if not, the lowest performance impact engine on the market currently and that is packed with a great and highly consistent virus & malware detection suite. Along with real-time malware protection, browser security, and anti-spam tools, you also get anti-phishing defenses, ransomware protection, and a strong firewall.
Bitdefender scores are very high in both the zero-day threat and real-world protection tests at AV-Test, an established organization that tests antivirus software. Despite being tested against tens of thousands of well-known and widespread malware threats, the software consistently achieves a 100% blocking rate.
The suite also comes with a restricted free VPN and with parental controls as well. Webcam and microphone protection are also included in the suite and on top of all, it has great pricing plans and constant discounts.
BitDefender is really a great package and it might sound too good, but after years and years of personally using it I have not had single malware or virus issue, the only thing that I would put as a negative is that system is severely slowed down when system scans are performed so be sure to run or schedule them when you are not using your computer. This, of course, can put some people off and I will admit it is a serious drawback but for me, the security of my workstation is more important than leaving the computer for 20 or so minutes in order to perform a full scan of the system.

Now try opening the NVIDIA Control Panel from the Start Menu and see if it now works fine or not.
Option 2: Restart the NVIDIA Display Driver Service
Tap the Win + R keys to open the Run dialog box.
Then type “services.msc” in the field and hit Enter to open the Windows Services Manager.
After opening the Services window, you will see a list of services. From there, look for services named “NVIDIA Display Container LS” and double click on it to open its Properties.
Now make sure that the service is Started. If it isn’t, you need to start it, otherwise, you need to Stop it and Start It again. You also have to make sure that the Startup Type is set to Automatic.
Do the same for the NVIDIA LocalSystem Container service.
Restart your computer and check if the problem’s fixed.
Option 3: Try updating the drivers from the official site of NVIDIA
If both the first and second given options didn’t work, you can also try updating the drivers from the official NVIDIA website. And in case you don’t know the type of Nvidia graphics card that your computer is on, follow the steps below:
Tap the Win + R keys to open the Run dialog box.
Next type in “dxdiag” in the field and click OK or hit Enter to open the DirectX Diagnostic Tool.
From there, you can see what type of Nvidia graphics card that your system is on.
Take note of your graphics card information and then look for the best drivers for your operating system. Once you’ve downloaded and installed the file, restart your PC.

There are times when the Windows Search doesn’t work and you wouldn’t have a clue as to why it happened since it does not give any error codes. In such cases, you have to check the error logs in the Event Viewer to find out more about the problem. From there, look for an error with the Event ID 3104 in the Windows error logs and if you see an error message that says, “Enumerating user sessions to generate filter pools failed”, read on as this post will guide you in fixing the problem. Apart from the error message, you might also see more information in the details section of the log that says, “(HRESULT: 0x80040210) (0x80040210)”.
This kind of error is most likely caused by something that prohibits the search function from initializing. A lot of users assumed that it could be due to Cortana but it’s actually not. While some users also reported that they encounter the issue after they restarted their computers. This error was also reported with the same event ID 3104 on the Windows Server. According to security researchers, this error could be caused by problems in the Registry entry of Windows search. It could also be due to an issue with the SYSTEM account where it hasn’t been added to the DCOM Security. It is also possible that the Windows Search function has not been initialized.
To fix this error, you can try to rebuild the Search Index manually or run the Search and Indexing troubleshooter. You can also check the startup type of the Windows Search service or try some registry tweak.
Option 1 – Try to rebuild the Search Index manually
The first thing you can do to fix the problem is to manually rebuild the Search Index. You can do that by going to Control Panel > Indexing Options and from there, click on Advanced. After that, go to the Index Settings tab and then click on Rebuild > OK. Once you’re done, check if it fixed the problem.
Option 2 – Try running the Search and Indexing troubleshooter
You could also run the Search and Indexing troubleshooter in Windows 10 as it checks whether the settings are in place and automatically corrects any issues with the Windows 10 search function. To run this troubleshooter, just click on the Start button and select Settings > Updates and Security > Troubleshoot. From there, select the Search and Indexing Troubleshooter. Once the troubleshooter is done, restart your computer and see if it fixed the error.
Option 3 – Try checking the startup type of the Windows Search Service
In this option, you have to check the startup type of the Windows Search service since the service won’t start. To do so, refer to these steps:
Tap the Win + R keys to open the Run utility and type “services.msc” in the field and then tap Enter to open the Services Manager.
Next, from the list of services, look for the Windows Search Service or WSearch. Once you find it, right-click on it and select Properties.
After that, change the Startup type to Automatic and click on the Start button if the service is in the Stop state.
Now click on the Apply and OK buttons to save the changes made and then restart your computer.
Option 4 – Try changing the Registry entry for Windows Search
Before you apply some registry tweak, you need to create a System Restore point first. Once you have that covered, follow these steps:
Tap the Win + R keys to open the Run utility and type “Regedit” in the field and tap Enter to open the Registry Editor.
If a User Account Control prompt appears, just click Yes to proceed.
After opening the Registry Editor, navigate to this registry path: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREMicrosoftWindows Search
From there, click on Windows Search and look for the key named “SetupCompletedSuccessfully” and change its value to “0”. Just right-click on it and select Modify.
Then input “0” as its value data and click on OK to save the changes made.
Exit the Registry Editor and restart your computer.
Now check if the Enumerating user sessions to generate filter pools failed is fixed or not.

That's why a lot of the original fare we're seeing on the service so far is a bit broader in targeting different audiences, with Anna Kendrick's Love Life kicking us off, and Kaley Cuoco's dark comedy The Flight Attendant also feeling a little different to the usual heavy HBO dramas. You'll find original movies on the service, as well as series previously available on the DC Universe app, like Titans and Harley Quinn.

Error Causes
There are two standard reasons why this error occurs during the Microsoft Windows 10 upgrade.
There may not be enough free space in the “System Reserved” partition of your hard drive.
Error Code 0x800F0922 could also mean that your PC was not able to successfully connect to the Microsoft Windows update servers due to a VPN (virtual private network) connection in your home or office network.
The .Net framework installation portion of the Windows 10 upgrade fails.
Further Information and Manual Repair
Error Code 0x800F0922 as stated is somewhat rare, but it does occur occasionally. Users who have experienced this error while attempting to upgrade their system to Microsoft Windows 10 have the following options for do-it-yourself fixes.
Method 1:
Use this method if you are operating on a network that uses a VPN connection.
Disconnect from your office or home network.
Turn off your VPN software.
Run the Microsoft Windows 10 upgrade.
Restart your PC.
Reconnect to your home or office network.
Turn your VPN software back on.
Method 2:
This will run the Windows 10 Update troubleshooter that is built into your PC.
Click on the Windows icon on the lower-left corner of your desktop.
Press the “w” key to open the SEARCH function.
Type “troubleshooting” in the search field and press ENTER
When the troubleshooting window opens, select the “view all” option from the left window pane.

Wait for the scan to run completely.
When the scan is complete, a message will appear telling you that “the operation completed successfully”.
Type the command “dism.exe /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth” into the command prompt field and press ENTER.
This will take a while to run completely, but it will restore any missing or corrupted files necessary for the Microsoft Windows 10 update.
Restart your computer.
Attempt the Windows 10 upgrade again.
Method 4: Use this option if you believe the issue is a result of the .NET framework being disabled.
Press the “windows” key followed by the “x” key.
Select the “control panel” option.
When the control panel window opens, click your cursor in the search field on the upper right hand corner.
Search for the phrase “windows features”, then select the link “turn Windows features on or off”.
Select the check box (add a check) to the box next to “.Net framework”.
Click the OK button.
Proceed with your Microsoft Windows 10 upgrade.

The first thing you have to do is right-click on the network icon in the Taskbar and select Network and Sharing Center.
Next, click on the “Change Adapter Settings” option.
After that, search for the network connection that you are using to connect to the internet. Note that the option might be “Wireless Connection” or “Local Area Connection”.
Right-click on your network connection and click on Properties.
Then select the new window to choose the “Internet Protocol 4 (TCP/IPv4)” option.

The Microsoft Store Apps Troubleshooter will help you in fixing the error 0x80131500. This is a great built-in tool from Microsoft that helps users fix any app installation issues. So this is worth a try to solve the problem. This built-in tool also helps you fix the Windows 10 Store if it isn’t working.
To use the Windows Store Troubleshooter, follow the steps below.
Tap Win + I keys again to open the Windows Settings panel.

A newfound bug in Google docs is causing it to crush and upon reopening it will crush again making it very difficult to re-access your document. The bug is manifested when a series of the same word is typed into a document and Show grammar suggestion is turned on.
How was it found
A Google Docs user, Pat Needham brought up the issue on Google Docs Editors Help forum.
"I've only tried in Google Chrome, with documents from three separate Google accounts (personal, G Suite Basic, and work one which might be enterprise). All three experience this same issue".
"It's case-sensitive. So trying with 'and. and. And. and. And.' doesn't cause it to crash."
While Needham publicly reported the bug, it appears that the issue was discovered by Eliza Callahan who was writing a poem novel for her novel using Google Docs.
Needham's findings have also been confirmed by other users running Firefox 99.0.1
Another user, Sergii Dymchenko, said strings like "But. But. But. But. But." triggered the same response. Some also noticed putting any of the terms like "Also, Therefore, And, Anyway, But, Who, Why, Besides, However," in the same format achieved the outcome.
A YCombinator HackerNews reader suspected the cause to be the "Show grammar suggestion" option in Google Docs.
A Google spokesperson confirmed the presence of the issue adding, "we're aware of this issue and the team is working on a fix."
How to recover your document
First thing first, turn off Show grammar suggestions so you do not run into issue by accident. In order to turn it off go to Tools and then into Spelling and grammar and untick Show grammar suggestions.
Now, if you already have a document that has been crushed, fear not because there is a workaround to access it. For some strange reason this bug does not manifest on Google Docs mobile app, so you can open the crushed document in the mobile app, delete words that have caused the bug and reopen the document on your desktop.
Until Google comes up with the solution this is currently the only way to address the issue.

Option 1 – Install the Media Feature Pack for Windows 10 N version
As mentioned, the Windows 10 N version does not come with Windows Media Player. Meaning to say, the Media Feature Pack is also not installed by default or won’t be updated by the Windows Update component. So if you are not quite sure what Windows 10 version you currently have installed, refer to these steps:
Tap the Windows key + S and then type “about” in the search box.
From the search results, click on the “About your PC” to open the About tab of the Settings app.

Once the download is completed, open the installation executable file and follow the next on-screen instructions to install the Media Feature Pack on your computer.
Restart your computer. After your computer has rebooted, open the application where you’re getting the mfplat.dll missing error and then check if the problem is now fixed.
Option 2 – Enable Media Playback via Command Prompt
If you encounter the mfplat.dll missing error when you attempt to run PLEX or other similar streaming service and you’ve already verified that the Media Feature Pack is indeed installed, you might want to try enabling it using an elevated Command Prompt. Go to the Windows drive and then look for the windows.old directory where it preserves a copy of your old operating system as well as associated files in case something goes out of hand during the upgrade process.
After that, open the windows.old folder and then go to the syswow64 folder.
Next, from the syswow64 folder, copy the mfplat.dll file and paste it to C: windows syswow64.
Restart your computer and check if the error is now resolved or not.
