This kind of error occurs when the File Explorer’s copy and paste feature was not able to read the source file being encrypted or decrypted. Step 1: You need to check first if you can decrypt the files encrypted by EFS. However, if you can’t, just proceed and then take full control of the file. Step 2: To take control of the file, open File Explorer and right-click on the partition, and then click on Properties. Step 3: After that, click on the Edit button under the Security tab.
