1. Windows Resource Protection did not find any integrity violations.
2. Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files and successfully repaired them.
3. Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files but was unable to fix some of them.

Option 5 – Run the DISM tool

The DISM tool is another command-line tool in the Windows operating system that could help users fix various corrupted system files. To use it, follow these steps:

• Open the Command Prompt as admin.
• Then type in this command: DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth
• The DISM command you entered will repair the corrupted system image. Do not close the window if the process takes a while as it will probably take a few minutes to finish.
• Restart your PC.

In any Windows operating system, Safe Mode is definitely a special environment used for troubleshooting issues as well as system diagnostics. Safe Mode allows you to remove any malware in your computer and troubleshoot issues that can’t be fixed when you’re in desktop mode. This message indicates that Safe Mode was successfully added in the Boot menu option which means that you can now directly access it and boot your Windows 10 PC in that mode.

To check if Safe Mode was really added in the Boot menu options, you have to open Msconfig. From there, you will also have to use it to configure the boot settings for the Safe Mode entry. To do so, follow the given steps below.

• Tap the Win + R keys to open the Run dialog box.
• Then type “MSConfig” in the field and click OK.
• Next, go to the Boot tab and find the Safe Mode option which should be located under the default Windows 10 mode.
• Afterward, you need to select the Sage boot option and Minimal. You also have to select the Make all boot settings permanent option.
• Make sure to increase the timeout to at least 10 seconds which will ensure that the menu does not disappear right away.

Note: In similar steps as above, you can add the Safe Mode with Networking and Safe Mode with Command Prompt entries as well. Just simply select “Network” for Safe Mode with Networking and “Alternate Shell” for Safe Mode with Command Prompt. Once you’re done adding any of them, click on Apply and restart your PC. In addition, if you wish to remove the entry, you just have to open MSConfig again and select the entry you want to remove, and then click Delete.

Assessment of OpenCandy PUP

During the initial assessment of OpenCandy, I was a little skeptical about what to look out for or expect. In fact, I had to install the OpenCandy.exe file twice to discern its behavior. I’m not sure how this application got its name but I do believe it has something to do with the fact that it supposedly helps Internet users open a new world of Internet browsing. That conclusion was arrived at after realizing that OpenCandy.exe installed mostly Internet browsers along with a tune-up tool on the test computer. However, as a result of the system requirements, there was a pop-up message indicating that Internet Explorer 8 was not compatible with the computer system in question. In comparison to the malware I’ve encountered since I started researching malware, OpenCandy is everything but malicious. In fact, this application is only categorized as malware because of its’ subtle covert nature of installing bundled programs unsolicited by the user. Additionally, OpenCandy coerces users into changing their Internet Browsers by installing those unrequested by the user. In fact, it’s no shock that OpenCandy chose to install the Internet Browser ‘Opera’ as a part of this bundle since it’s one of the least used browsers according to the Federal Government. Clearly, this was a smoothly disguised advertisement or promotion to force users into using the Opera Browser, along with Internet Explorer 8.0. While these aforementioned browsers in themselves aren’t malicious and are in no way considered malware, they were installed as a promotional tool and without the request of the user. Despite being mentioned within the EULA, advertisers are capitalizing on this since most users do not bother to read the agreements when installing a program. Furthermore, OpenCandy, like most other bundled applications I’ve dealt with, threw in a tune-up tool as a part of the promotion. I found this tune-up application annoying since I had to hassle my way into getting it to close from the computer screen. Nothing is wrong with this marketing strategy. In fact, most utility tools if not all will scan your computer to detect threats or loopholes, but they won't exactly allow you to fix those problems unless you buy the full version. • Web Companion: Developed by Lavasoft, Web Companion is said to be an application that serves as a security defense for your Internet browsers by preventing unauthorized changes (see image below)
• Tuneup Utilities: Tuneup Utilities does exactly as it says. It cleans up a computer system, whereby preventing unused programs from slowing it down.
• Opera Stable 30.01.1835.88: Opera is a fast, simple, and effective Internet browser that allows users to get around on the web.

All in all, the intent of installing an application such as OpenCandy is to unleash a world of promotion or advertisements on your computer. They are pretty annoying and in some cases difficult to remove. Furthermore, as a user, you want to control what gets installed on your computer without being dictated to or coerced in some EULA that you probably overlook. Check Server status

Before diving into technicality and before we start deleting files and fixing things you should check the Server status. This seems maybe like something you should not do but if the server has experienced some kind of downtime or it is in maintenance Origin will throw this error in the client. Delete OriginThinSetupInternal.exe

• After some research, it has come to light that originthinsetupinternal.exe can cause this specific error. The best solution is to delete the file and then run Origin as administrator so the file is remade new.
• First, make sure that Origin is fully closed, check the taskbar and if it lurks there right-click on it and click on quit
• Run file explorer and go into the folder where Origin is installed, by default it is C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin
• Locate OriginThinSetupInternal.exe and delete it
• Then locate origin.exe and right-click on it and then click on Run as administrator

Reinstall Origin client

If the previous solution has not solved the issue then Origin might have some corrupted files inside it. It is known that the Origin client can produce some bad files if the installation has been forcefully canceled. The best thing is to reinstall the completely whole client.

• Press ⊞ WINDOWS + R to open the run dialog
• Inside run dialog type in Control panel and press ENTER
• In the control panel locate programs and features group and double click on it
• Locate Origin, click to select it, and on top click on uninstall
• After uninstall process is completed start file explorer and go to the folder where Origin was installed, by default it is C:\Program Files (x86). Locate the Origin folder and delete it.
• Go to the official origin website and download the new client installation.
• After the download is finished double click on it and follow onscreen instructions.

Disable antivirus

If every solution so far has not been able to remove error then obviously something else is interfering with the origin client and installation functioning. Altho not advisable, turn OFF your security suite including both firewall and antivirus and try installing the game again. There is the possibility that the origin client or some game file has been marked as false positive by security software thus preventing it from executing properly.
