Error 0x00000024 can be seen when you start up and a screen comes up asking which mode you would startup in. If you see no improvement in solving Error 0x00000024, and the problem keeps persisting, then you should start over. But this time you should type sfc/scannow instead of chkdsk/f and hit return.
