Solution
Error Causes
The most common causes of Error Code 0xc0000005 on Windows 10 machines include interference with other programs that are running on the computer, such as antivirus programs, problems encountered within the registry entries made on the operating system, or faulty drivers that cause bad interactions between the system and the program in question.
Fortunately, there are several methods that can be used to resolve these specific issues.
Further Information and Manual Repair
There are three main ways that you can try to resolve Error Code 0xc0000005 on your Windows machine. Depending on your degree of technical ability and confidence, it may be easy to moderately difficult to follow these steps, so if you feel like you are not able to complete the methods below on your own, be sure to get in touch with a qualified computer repair technician to aid you in the process.
Here are the best ways to resolve Error Code 0xc0000005 on your Windows machine:
Method One: Disable Any Anti-Virus Processes
In some cases, an antivirus program can cause interference with your programs. If you believe that this is the primary culprit of your issue, try temporarily disabling the software that you are running to see if you are then able to use the program that experienced the error correctly.
Always be sure to keep on other security software, such as Windows Defender, while you disable your antivirus programs, ensuring that your computer is still protected from malicious software. In general, this is usually the best security tool that you can run on your computer, without interfering with other programs.
Method Two: Run a Registry Cleaner
In some cases, the error code can appear when a registry entry is either seen to be missing or faulty by the system. If you believe this is the primary cause of your problem, use a trusted registry cleaning software to scan the files and attempt to automatically fix the problem.
Always be sure to check out the provider of the registry cleaning tool that you use, as not every tool that you can download from the Internet is safe. When possible, always try to use registry tools that are directly available from the Microsoft website, rather than ones that you do a simple search for online.
Once the registry scan is complete, take the time to reboot your computer to ensure that every change that has been made can be recognized and applied by your operating system and devices.
Method Three: Check Your Drivers
If your drivers aren’t communicating properly with your hardware, it can cause the error code to appear. To fix this, open up your device manager software and choose to update your driver software. You can run an automatic search for updates to your drivers to make things easier.
When the driver updates have been downloaded and installed, make sure that you take the time to reboot your computer, which can allow your computer to apply and recognize any changes that have been made.
Method Four: Use An Automated Tool
If you wish to always have at your disposal a utility tool to fix these Windows 10 and other related issues when they do arise, download and install a powerful automated tool.
It is no longer a secret that websites, social media, and other various places on WEB are tracking you and your messages and emails for keywords that they will later use to promote and serve your specific ads linked to those keywords. Altho the process is fully automated it does feel a little forced and uneasy.
That is why we are bringing you this article in which we will show you how to stop website tracking in the most popular and used browsers.
SAFARI
Apple’s Safari browser gives you the option to block cross-site tracking. It also has a Privacy Report that displays all the sites and agencies that are gathering information about you.
Before blocking these trackers, you may want to review exactly which sites are tracking you online and gathering information about you. Armed with this information, you may decide that cross-site tracking isn’t a huge issue for your particular browsing habits, or you may decide to avoid certain websites entirely.
To access Safari’s Privacy Report:
Launch the Safari web browser.
In the toolbar, select Safari > Privacy Report.
Select the Websites tab. This will display information about all the websites that are profiling you.
Select the Trackers tab. This displays a list of all the trackers that are gathering information about you. This includes the companies that created these trackers and the number of times Safari detected these trackers during your browsing sessions.
You can also check how intrusive a particular website is by navigating to the website in question and then selecting the shield icon that appears alongside Safari’s address bar. You can then select Trackers on This Web Page, and Safari will display a list of all the trackers that are active on this particular webpage.
Once you’ve seen all the websites and agencies who are tracking you, if you want to block these trackers:
In the Safari toolbar, select Safari > Preferences …
Select the Privacy tab.
Select the following checkbox: Prevent Cross-Site Tracking.
Safari will now prevent these trackers from following you across the World Wide Web.
CHROME
As you’re browsing the web, Chrome can send a request for websites not to collect or track your browsing data.
It’s important to note that this is a request, so there’s no guarantee that every website will honor the request. Frustratingly, Chrome doesn’t provide information about the websites that are tracking you online. However, we still recommend enabling this feature, as it can help minimize the number of websites that are tracking your online movements:
In Chrome’s upper-right corner, select the three-dot menu icon, then Settings.
In the menu on the left, select Privacy and security.
Click Cookies and other site data.
Find the Do not track slider and push it into the On position.
Now Chrome will send a Do Not Track request to every website you visit. Since this is only a request, you may want to take additional steps to protect your online privacy.
Ghostery is a Chrome extension that enables you to view and block online trackers. After installing Ghostery, you can view all the trackers that are active on a particular website:
Head to the site in question.
Click the Extensions icon in the Chrome toolbar.
Select Ghostery to see a list of all the trackers this extension has detected.
You can block all of these trackers by selecting the Detailed tab and then clicking Restrict site.
Repeat this process for every site you visit.
MOZILLA FIREFOX
Firefox has an Enhanced Tracking Protection feature that can block all the cross-site trackers identified by Disconnect. This feature can also preserve your online privacy by blocking social media trackers, fingerprints, and crypto miners, making this a great all-arounder for the security-conscious Internet user.
Enhanced Tracking Protection should be enabled by default. However, you can verify whether it’s active for your particular Firefox installation by navigating to any website. Next, click the little shield icon that appears alongside Firefox’s address bar and you should see a message confirming that Enhanced Tracking Protection is enabled.
If Enhanced Tracking Protection isn’t enabled, we recommend activating it:
In Firefox’s upper-right corner, select the three-line icon, then Preferences.
In the menu on the left, select Privacy & Security.
You can now select either Standard or Strict. Note that Strict may affect the functionality of certain websites, so it’s recommended you opt for Standard unless you specifically require a greater level of protection.
Similar to Chrome, Firefox can send a Do Not Track request. While you’re in the Privacy & Security menu, you may want to consider activating Mozilla’s Do Not Track feature.
OPERA
When you first installed Opera, it gave you the option to block trackers. If you didn’t take Opera up on the offer then, you can start blocking trackers now:
Along the left side of the Opera browser, click the cog icon. This opens Opera’s settings.
In the menu on the left, select Basic.
Find the Block Trackers slider and push it into the On position.
Blocking trackers can impact the functionality of certain websites. If you start noticing strange behavior on a particular website, you may want to add that site to your Exceptions list. By allowing this site to use trackers, you should be able to resolve any issues you’re experiencing.
To make an exception for one or more websites:
Launch Opera’s settings by clicking the little cog icon.
Navigate to Basic > Manage Exceptions.
Click Add and then type the address of the site where you want to permit trackers.
Repeat for all the sites that you want to add to your exceptions list.
Both the Windows 10 and Windows Server operating systems have a number of common system files that vary from the ones that support the installation, boot process, and other operations or tasks in the system. However, if any of these files get corrupted, it might cause some errors during the setup of the Windows 10 operating system. One of these errors is the “Windows cannot find the Microsoft Software License Terms” error.
“Windows cannot find the Microsoft Software License Terms. Make sure the installation sources are valid and restart the installation.”
The only option given when you encounter this error is to click on the OK button and nothing else and then the setup gets interrupted and won’t push through. To fix this error and proceed with the installation, you can try to get a new installation image or switch ports, or fix the CFG file. For more details, follow each one of the potential fixes provided below.
Option 1 – Try to get a new installation image
It is possible that there might be some issues with the installation image. It could be corrupted or was modified illegally. Or it could be that the bootable storage device created might have damaged sectors or installation. To resolve this problem, you need to download a fresh copy of the Windows 10 installation image using the Windows Media Creation tool or simply use the ISO image separately and then build a bootable USB.
Option 2 – Try to switch Ports
The error might be caused by the connection to the USB port. It could be that the port is unstable due to a number of factors that resulted in the interruption of the installation process. To fix this problem, you can try switching the USB port or if you are using an optical drive, you can get an external USB optical drive or connect it to another port internally and see if it fixes the problem.
Option 3 – Try to fix the CFG file
If none of the first two options worked, then you might want to fix the CFG file. This file is a configuration file format used for storing settings. All you have to do is download the CFG file. Once you’ve downloaded this file, copy this file to the root of your bootable drive and then check if it fixes the error. If not, then try to copy the same file inside the “/sources/” folder inside the root of the drive. This should fix the error.
As you know, the Google Drive service is a Backup and Synchronization service provided by Google. It was launched way back in April 2012 which provides users with the options to synchronize, store and share files by uploading them to Google’s servers where they stay until they are deleted personally by the users and can be accessed anywhere using the Google Account that’s used to upload them.
Recently, a lot of users reported that they were unable to connect to Google Drive from their Windows 10 computers. This kind of problem has been noticed in the middle of the upload process and can be seen at times after the app launches. If you also experience the same issue, then you’ve come to the right place as this post will guide you in fixing it.
There are a lot of possible reasons why this kind of problem occurs. It could be that the app was not able to launch properly or the internet got disconnected when the app was about to launch. It is also possible that the Firewall has blocked the app from connecting to the internet or that the antivirus program is preventing the app from making contact with its database. Aside from that, it is possible that the account you are using on your computer is preventing Google Drive from connecting to the internet due to some configuration errors.
Follow the suggestions provided below to fix the connection issue with Google Drive.
Option 1 – Configure the Firewall
As mentioned, the Windows Firewall might be blocking the app from contacting its database so, in this option, you have to allow Google Drive through the Firewall. To do so, follow these steps:
In the Windows Start Search, type “firewall” and click on the “Allow an app or feature through Windows Firewall” option from the search results.
After that, you will see a list of apps, and here, click on the “Change Settings” button.
Next, scroll down and make sure to check both the “Public” and “Private” options for Google Drive.
Now click on Ok to save the changes made and then try to launch Google Drive again.
Option 2 – Try to launch Google Drive again
Google Drive might have not launched properly that’s why it can’t connect to its servers so you can try to launch it again and see if it helps.
Tap the Ctrl + Shift + Esc keys to open the Task Manager.
Next, go to the Processes tab and click on the “View” option located at the top.
After that, uncheck the “Group by Type” option and click on the “Google Drive Sync” from the list of processes.
Then click on the “End Task” option and close the Task Manager.
Launch Google Drive again and see if the issue is now resolved.
Aside from Firewall, antivirus programs, especially the third party ones, are also known to block files applications the instant it detects a threat to the system. Thus, your antivirus program might be the reason why you can’t download anything on your Windows 10 computer. To fix this, you can try to disable the antivirus program on your computer in the meantime and then try to launch Google Drive again. Do not forget to enable them again as disabling them can leave your computer vulnerable to cyber threats.
Option 4 – Try to create a new account
There are times when a certain configuration for a user account might be blocking some elements of the Google Drive app. In such cases, you can try to create a new account to fix the problem.
Click on the Windows key and then click on the icon for Settings.
From there, click on the Accounts button and select the “Family & Other People” option from the left pane.
Next, click the “Add someone else to this PC” option.
After that, click on the “I don’t have this person’s sign-in information” option and select the “Add a user without a Microsoft Account” setting.
Type in the credentials for the new account you are creating and click on Next.
After the account is created, click on the account and then select the “Change account type” option.
Click on the drop-down menu and select the “Administrator” option and then click on OK.
Now sign out of the current account and sign in to the new one and then open Google Drive again.
As we near the end of 2022 we look at the current best antivirus software for popular platforms, why they are the best, and why you should get them.
Avira, a great free Antivirus
Avira has been around a long time with its free antivirus version of the larger protection suite. It had its ups and downs but the latest versions are really great. With high-speed scans and low system impact, Avira antivirus is really one of the best free antivirus software currently on the market.
The software itself has also received UI & UX updates making it straightforward and easy to use. The virus scanning engine is the same as in paid version that ranks among the top engines in the world for this type of work. The package also gives you some great browser protection and a good firewall as well, there is really no excuse to skip on this if you want a free solution.
The only thing that we would say is not so great in Avira is reporting some false positives, sometimes even for MS updates, it is rare but it can happen.
Malwarebytes, a powerful Windows antivirus
Malwarebytes Premium is easy to use, simple antivirus solution that shies away from complicated UI, and simply put, it just works. Its scanning engine is well-known and places among the top and best in the world often finding some malware that other can miss.
Another great thing is its integration with Windows itself, it is one of the rare applications that can and will work incredibly well beside your typical Windows protection tools so you can have both of them running at the same time.
Installation and running are really simple and every typical PC user will find it as easy as walking in the park. On the other hand, sadly system impact is a little high and it will have issues running on lower-end systems due to its memory requirements.
Intego MAC Internet Security X9, the best Mac antivirus
Gone are the days when MAC had no virus issues, since MAC rose in popularity among the users, also rose the number of viruses and malware. The system itself has some great protection built it inside but for more security and better control of it, you will need a third-party dedicated solution.
Intego was made by Mac antivirus experts who have been building this kind of software last 25 years. The interface is easy to use and premade presets are really helpful, but the security suite can also be customized to fit your needs and desires.
Since this is only available as a security suite, you are getting a firewall and some other security tools along with your antivirus that will run as a part of it.
The bad side is that scans can sometimes run slow, most of the time they are OK in terms of speed but occasionally they can switch to slower speeds and impact scanning time to some annoying times. Also, there is no webcam protection nor VPN service included where others on this list have them.
Bitdefender mobile security: best Android protection
While protection is not only needed for your gaming or workstation, software suites that are dealing with mobile and tablet security exist. The best of them is the Bitdefender antivirus mobile suite. Low on system resources and low on performance impact with the really great virus detection rate Bitdefender is at the top of suites for your phone.
Consistent high virus detection packed with low battery impact is great but the suite comes with tons of other tools as well like browser security tools, email protection, and real-time link and notification protection.
The application will always scan each file and newly installed application in the background and alert and cut off any found threat. App itself is easy to install and use and most of the time it will do everything in the background for you but offer you customization if you need it.
The package also includes VPN and application lock that will let you protect the critical applications from being accessed as well as an online account scanner. Anti-theft and anti-loss tools, which allow you to find, remotely lock or wipe a stolen or lost device, add yet another layer of protection.
One thing that is missing from this great package is fraudulent call protection. Newer Android phones have this feature inside but it would be nice if Bitdefender had it as well.
Bitdefender, the best antivirus software
Now that we have covered specific cases of each platform, there is one player that has all of them covered and with a quality product, that player is BitDefender and it is great. Personally, this is my protection suite of choice and as I type this it is running in the background.
Bitdefender has it all, low system impact, as a matter of fact, it is one, if not, the lowest performance impact engine on the market currently and that is packed with a great and highly consistent virus & malware detection suite. Along with real-time malware protection, browser security, and anti-spam tools, you also get anti-phishing defenses, ransomware protection, and a strong firewall.
Bitdefender scores are very high in both the zero-day threat and real-world protection tests at AV-Test, an established organization that tests antivirus software. Despite being tested against tens of thousands of well-known and widespread malware threats, the software consistently achieves a 100% blocking rate.
The suite also comes with a restricted free VPN and with parental controls as well. Webcam and microphone protection are also included in the suite and on top of all, it has great pricing plans and constant discounts.
BitDefender is really a great package and it might sound too good, but after years and years of personally using it I have not had single malware or virus issue, the only thing that I would put as a negative is that system is severely slowed down when system scans are performed so be sure to run or schedule them when you are not using your computer. This, of course, can put some people off and I will admit it is a serious drawback but for me, the security of my workstation is more important than leaving the computer for 20 or so minutes in order to perform a full scan of the system.
0x80004005 Outlook is an error that users commonly encounter while attempting to send or receive emails on Outlook.
The message that appears usually states “This message could not be sent. Try sending the message again or contact your network administrator."

Error Causes
This error is usually caused by a problem in the Local Area Network or LAN. What actually happens is that signals with the wireless LAN are lost or a connection problem occurs within the network cable.
As a result, the 0x80004005 Outlook error is triggered while sending or receiving an email. Sometimes the problem goes away on its own. However, if it recurs after a few hours, it shows that some problem exists within the network.
Also, it is important to understand that different factors can affect the quality of wireless connections in a network.
For instance, garage door openers, microwave ovens, and Bluetooth devices can easily become obstacles, disrupting the connection and causing the quality to degrade. Other causes are listed below as follows.
Missing, corrupt, or damaged registry keys
Existence of viruses
Outdated drivers
It is a must to fix this error otherwise potential risks associate with this error such as permanent damage and blue screens.
Further Information and Manual Repair
There are two ways to fix this error and both are listed below as follows.
One solution is to disable script blocking in Norton Antivirus. Most users encountering this problem have Norton Antivirus installed on their PCs. To correct this problem, simply turn off the ‘Enable Script Blocking’ feature. However, there is a downside associated with this solution. Enabling script blocking will make your network or computer vulnerable to viruses and malware. That’s why it is not advised to implement this solution.
The alternative solution is to simply disable the new-mail notification feature offered in Outlook. To disable notifications of any new emails, the steps go as follows. Open Outlook and go to the Tools menu. Here you will come across ‘Options’.Click on it and then select the ‘Preferences’ tab. Here you will find the ‘Email Options’. Click on it and then uncheck the checkbox against the option, ‘Display a notification message when new mail arrives’. Click Ok two times.
Both these workarounds will work. Therefore, it is advised that you employ any one of them as per your needs.

One of the common causes of Blue Screen of Death or BSOD errors is system driver files due to varying reasons. So if you encounter a Stop error caused by some system driver files such as isapnp.sys, gv3.sys, storahci.sys, or myfault.sys, on your Windows 10 PC, then this post should help you fix the problem.
These system driver files are associated with different error codes. The isapnp.sys file is related to the following error codes:
SYSTEM SERVICE EXCEPTION
PAGE FAULT IN A NONPAGED AREA
KERNEL DATA INPAGE
SYSTEM THREAD EXCEPTION NOT HANDLED
IRQL NOT LESS EQUAL
KMODE EXCEPTION NOT HANDLED.
While the gv3.sys file is related to the following BSOD error codes:
IRQL NOT LESS EQUAL
KMODE EXCEPTION NOT HANDLED
PAGE FAULT IN NONPAGED AREA.
On the other hand, the storahci.sys file is related to these error codes:
IRQL NOT LESS EQUAL
KMODE EXCEPTION NOT HANDLED
PAGE FAULT IN NONPAGED AREA.
And the myfault.sys file is associated with this error code:
SYSTEM SERVICE EXCEPTION.
Although this system driver file causes different kinds of Blue Screen errors, some of their potential fixes are quite the same so you need not carry out tons of troubleshooting steps. But before you troubleshoot the problem, you might want to check out System Restore first, especially if you create a System Restore point from time to time. To perform System Restore, follow these steps:
Tap the Win + R keys to open the Run dialog box.
After that, type in “sysdm.cpl” in the field and tap Enter.
Next, go to the System Protection tab then click the System Restore button. This will open a new window where you have to select your preferred System Restore point.
After that, follow the on-screen instructions to finish the process and then restart your computer and check if the problem is fixed or not.
If System Restore didn’t help in fixing the Blue Screen error, now’s the time for you to resort to the troubleshooting tips provided below but before you get started, make sure that you create a System Restore point first and boot your computer into Safe Mode.
Option 1 – Use the System Configuration utility
Note that this first fix is only applicable for Blue Screen errors associated with the myfault.sys file.
In the Cortana Search box, type “MSConfig” and click on the “System Configuration” entry to open it.
After opening System Configuration, go to the Processes tab.
Then scroll down and look for the “Digital Line Detection” process and disable it.
Now restart your computer and check if the Stop error is fixed or not.
Option 2 – Try to update, rollback or disable related device drivers
Incompatible and outdated drivers can also cause computer malfunctioning or crashing as well as Blue Screen errors. To fix that, you can update, roll back or disable the device drivers in your computer.
Tap the Win + R keys to launch the Run window and then type in the “devmgmt.msc” command and hit Enter to open the Device Manager window.
After opening the Device Manager, from the list of device drivers, look for the “WIN ISA Bus Driver” if you are facing a Stop error related to the isapnp.sys file. While you have to look for the Sony Recovery CDs PCG-Z1RAP Series device drivers if you face a Stop error concerning the gv3.sys file. For the storahci.sys, on the other hand, look for any outdated drivers and update them.
To update or roll back or disable these drivers, just right-click on each one of them, and depending on your preference, you can either select “Update driver”, “Disable device” or “Uninstall device”.
After that, restart your PC and see if it helped in fixing the Blue Screen error.
Option 3 – Use System File Checker
One of the built-in tools in Windows that you can use to fix Blue Screen errors is the System File Checker. This built-in command utility can help you restore corrupted or missing files as well as replace bad and corrupted system files. Chances are, any of the aforementioned system driver files might be corrupted so to fix them, use System File Checker.
First, right-click on the Start button and click on the “Command Prompt (Admin) option.
Next, type in the sfc /scannow command and hit Enter to execute it.
The command will start a system scan which will take a few whiles before it finishes. Once it’s done, you could get the following results:
Windows Resource Protection did not find any integrity violations.
Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files and successfully repaired them.
Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files but was unable to fix some of them.
Now restart your computer.
Option 4 – Run the Blue Screen Troubleshooter
Troubleshooting Blue Screen of Death errors wouldn’t be complete without the Blue Screen troubleshooter. As you know, it is a built-in tool in Windows 10 that helps users in fixing BSOD errors. You can find it in Settings, under the Troubleshooters page. To use it, refer to these steps:
Tap the Win + I keys to open the Settings panel.
Then go to Update & Security > Troubleshoot.
From there, look for the option called “Blue Screen” on your right-hand side and then click the “Run the troubleshooter” button to run the Blue Screen Troubleshooter and then follow the next on-screen options.
Note that you might have to boot your PC into Safe Mode.
The latest steam beta update has introduced code that will prevent downloading and installing previous game versions via the steam client.
For many people that are playing online games, this is not such a big deal since they always must have the latest version in order to play their games but for other ones, this has arrived as a bit of a problem. Many people preferred older game versions since often updates can change certain mechanics inside the game making it different as an experience or introduce some elements that not everyone likes.
So far, people could use the steamDB site to find depo of the game versions you would like to play and download it but if this beta code goes live that will not be an option anymore. Now, playing old games without updates could also be used for nostalgic reasons and these people have also been cut off with this update.
It is important to point that update is still in beta client only but users have already started to voice their opinions asking Valve not to place it live. In the end, it will all depend on Valve’s decision will they listen to their customers or decide to push updates on live service.
