If you encounter an error saying, “Boot Device Not Found” when you turn on your Windows 10 computer, then you’ve come to the right place as this post will guide you on how you can fix this problem. Apart from the error message, you will also see a message that states, “Please install an operating system on your hard disk, Hard Disk<xxx>”. You will then be asked to tap the F2 key to initiate the System Diagnostics.
If you install the Windows operating system, it becomes the boot device, and when your computer boots, the UEFI or the BIOS looks for the operating installed on your drive and continues the process. So when you encounter the “Boot Device Not Found” error, this means that the UEFI or the BIOS wasn’t able to locate the drive where it can boot.
There are several suggestions you can check out to resolve this error. You can try checking the connection with your boot drive or change the boot order. You can also fix the Boot Record from Recovery and see if the primary partition is active or not. But before you troubleshoot the problem, make sure that you have a bootable Windows USB drive ready since two of the options provided below will require you to boot into the Advanced Recovery mode. Once you have this covered, proceed to each one of the following options.
Option 1 – Try checking the connection with the boot drive
If you have a custom computer that comes with a cabinet, you might want to open it and remove any connected power supply, and then check the wires. As you know, drives are connected with the motherboard using a cable. So all you have to do is check if both ends are connected properly and make sure that the connection is not loose. You could also try to unplug the cable and plug it back in.
Option 2 – Try changing the boot order
You might also want to try changing the boot order of your computer. Each time a computer boots, the BIOS or the UEFI follows a boot order. It is the one that tells where to first look for the boot drive and if for some reason, a USB is connected to your computer and the first boot device found in the USB, then you have resolved the problem. All you have to do is to remove the USB device and boot or go into the BIOS and change the boot order yourself.
Option 3 – Try to rebuild the BCD files
The next thing you can do to resolve the issue is to Rebuild Boot Configuration Data or BCD files.
You can start by booting into the installation environment for Windows 10 from an installation media.
After that, click on Repair your computer and on the blue screen, select Troubleshoot and then select the Advanced options menu.
From there, select Command Prompt and once you open it, enter each one of the commands given below by sequence.
bootrec /FixMbr
bootrec /FixBoot
bootrec /ScanOS
bootrec /RebuildBcd
Once you’re done executing the commands given above, type “exit” to close the Command Prompt window and then restart your computer and see if it fixed the “Boot Device Not Found” error.
Option 4 – Try setting the System Partition to Active
Like the first given option, you also have to make sure that you have a bootable Windows 10 USB drive before you proceed to set the System Partition to Active. Once you have it covered, refer to these steps:
Boot your computer using the bootable Windows 10 USB drive.
Next, click Next when you get to the Welcome Screen.
Then click on Repair your computer located at the bottom left part of the window and select Troubleshoot > Advanced Options > Command Prompt.
After opening Command Prompt, type the following command and hit Enter to start the Diskpart utility. It is a command line-based utility just like Command Prompt but has a UAC prompt once you provoke it. So if you encounter a UAC prompt, just click on Yes to proceed.
diskpart
Now type the following command:
list disk
From there, select your primary disk by typing the following command:
select disk number
After that, list all the partitions on the selected disk by entering the following command:
list partition
The command you just entered will list all the partitions created on your PC including both types of partitions that are visible to a normal user in the File Explorer as well as the ones created by Windows 10 by default which helps it in storing the boot files and other important system files.
Now type the following command to select the partition that is usually around 100 MB in size:
select partition number
Finally, type the following command to mark the partition active:
active
Then type the “exit” command to exit the disk part utility.
Once it’s done, the primary drive should now be active and you should now be able to boot into your computer without the “Boot Device Not Found” error.
One of the hardest issues you can encounter on your Windows computer is the Blue Screen of Death error. There are various kinds of BSOD or Stop errors and one of them is the “Memory Management Error 0x0000001A” error. This kind of Stop error might signify a hardware problem in your computer and is most likely caused by an issue with RAM or hard disk or even malware that takes up all your computer’s memory, thus, making it crash and display a BSOD error like the Memory Management Error 0x0000001A.
Moreover, this kind of Stop error can also occur during the Windows upgrading process. So in this post, we’ll show you what you can do to fix the Memory Management error on your Windows 10 PC.
Option 1 – Run the Blue Screen Troubleshooter
The Blue Screen troubleshooter is a built-in tool in Windows 10 that can be found on the Settings Troubleshooters page. To use it, refer to these steps:
Tap the Win + I keys to open the Settings panel.
Then go to Update & Security > Troubleshoot.
From there, look for the option called “Blue Screen” on your right-hand side and then click the “Run the troubleshooter” button to run the Blue Screen Troubleshooter and then follow the next on-screen options. Note that you might have to boot your PC into Safe Mode.
Option 2 – Update the device drivers
Tap the Win + R keys to launch Run.
Type in devmgmt.msc into the box and tap Enter or click OK to open the Device Manager.
After that, a list of device drivers will be displayed. Look for the device driver you and then select either “Update driver” or “Uninstall device”. And if you find any “Unknown device”, you need to update it as well.
Select the “Search automatically for updated driver software” option and then follow the instructions to complete the process.
If you have chosen to uninstall the driver, follow the screen options to complete the process and then restart your PC.
Connect the device and Scan for hardware changes – you can see this option under Device Manager > Action.
Option 3 – Run the Windows Memory Diagnostics Tool to test RAM
Since the issue concerns the memory of your computer, you can also try running the Windows Memory Diagnostics Tool to find out if the RAM module of your computer has become corrupted. To run this tool, follow these steps:
Tap the Win + S keys to open Search.
Then type “Windows Memory Diagnostics Tool” in the field and hit Enter to open the Windows Memory Diagnostics Tool.
After that select any of the following option from the prompt that appears:
“Restart now and check for problems (recommended)”
“Check for problems the next time I start my computer”
After that, if you find that your RAM is corrupted, you might have to purchase a new one or change the motherboard of your computer.
Option 4 – Run the DISM tool
There are cases when the Memory Management Error 0x0000001A error is caused by the Windows System Image so you need to repair it using the DISM or Deployment Imaging and Servicing Management tool. The DISM tool is another command-line tool in the Windows operating system that could help users fix various corrupted system files. To use it, follow these steps:
Open the Command Prompt as admin.
Then type in this command: Dism /Online /CheckHealth
Do not close the window if the process takes a while as it will probably take a few minutes to finish.
Option 5 – Run the SFC scan
Tap Win + R to launch Run.
Type in cmd in the field and tap Enter.
After opening Command Prompt, type in sfc /scannow
The command will start a system scan which will take a few whiles before it finishes. Once it’s done, you could get the following results:
Windows Resource Protection did not find any integrity violations.
Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files and successfully repaired them.
Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files but was unable to fix some of them.
Option 6 – Try using System Restore
You can also try to perform a System Restore as it can also help you fix the BSOD error. You can do this option either by booting into Safe Mode or in System Restore. If you are already in the Advanced Startup Options, just directly select System Restore and proceed with the next steps. And if you have just booted your PC into Safe Mode, refer to the steps below.
Tap the Win + R keys to open the Run dialog box.
After that, type in “sysdm.cpl” in the field and tap Enter.
Next, go to the System Protection tab then click the System Restore button. This will open a new window where you have to select your preferred System Restore point.
After that, follow the on-screen instructions to finish the process and then restart your computer and check if the problem is fixed or not.
As you know, Windows allows you to share files between systems that are on the same network even though they are not connected physically. All you have to do is to make sure that the folder administrator allows access to the intended use and that your computer should be connected to the internet. Once you meet these conditions, you can share files between systems. However, recently a number of users reported that despite fulfilling these conditions, they end up getting errors instead when they try to access the shared drive. The error states:
“Error code: 0x80070035. The network path was not found.”
One of the common causes of this error is the antivirus program or the Firewall installed on your computer. It could also be that the drive is not shared in the first place or there are some issues with your network drivers. Whichever the case is, here are some potential fixes you need to check out to fix the Error code: 0x80070035.
Option 1 – Try to temporarily disable anti-virus and Windows Defender Firewall
As mentioned, the error could be due to the antivirus program or the Windows Defender Firewall installed on your computer. Thus, disabling them or any security software installed in your computer is always a good idea you can try when you’re not able to access the shared drive on your computer. There are times when you encounter problems like Error code: 0x80070035 due to interference of antivirus or security programs. Thus, you have to disable both your antivirus program and Windows Defender Firewall for the meantime and check if it fixes the error or not.
Option 2 – Check if the drive is shared
Before you further troubleshoot the problem, make sure that the drive you are trying to access is shared first. To do so, follow these steps:
Right-click on the folder and select Properties.
Go to the Sharing tab and check the status of the Network File and Folder Sharing.
And if the status is “Not Shared”, you need to select Share.
Next, select the intended Network User for sharing the file and choose the permission level for the user.
After that, click on the Apply and OK buttons to save the changes made. You or the intended user should now be able to access the shared folder or file.
Option 3 – Try to ping the IP address of the targeted computer
Even though the shared folder or file is shared correctly, it is possible that the network channel is not connected properly which is why you have to test it by pinging the IP address of the targeted computer from the primary computer.
Tap the Win + R keys to launch the Run dialog box.
Type “cmd” in the field and tap Enter to open Command Prompt.
Next, type the “ipconfig/all” command and tap Enter to execute it. This will populate various details.
From the given details, take note of the IPv4 address.
Afterward, open Command Prompt on the primary computer and then type the “ping <IPv4 address of the target computer>” command and hit Enter.
Now check if you get 4 confirmation replies or not. If not, you can try to access the Network Adapter Troubleshooter.
To run the Network Troubleshooter, refer to these steps:
Open the Search bar on your computer and type in “troubleshoot” to open the Troubleshoot settings.
Next, scroll down and select the “Network Adapter” option from the right pane.
Then click on the Run Troubleshooter” button.
After that, your computer will check for any possible errors and will pinpoint the root cause of the problem if possible.
Restart your computer.
Option 4 – Verify if Network Discovery is enabled
All you have to do is go to Start > Settings > Network & Internet and from there, click on the “Change connection properties” option and shift the radio button for Network profile to Private. After that, check if folder sharing is now working.
Option 5 – Try to modify the Network Security settings
There are times when the Network Security settings interfere with the folder or file sharing process. And if that’s the case, you can modify it to resolve the problem. How? Refer to these steps:
Tap the Win + R keys to open the Run dialog box.
Then type “secpol.msc” in the field and tap Enter to open the Local Security Policy manager window.
After that, go to Local Policies > Security Options located on the left pane.
Next, double click on Network security: LAN Manager authentication level in the right pane to open its Properties.
And then select the “Send LM & NTLM-use NTLMv2 session security if negotiated” option from the drop-down menu.
Now click on Apply and OK buttons to save the changes made.
Reboot your computer.
Option 6 – Try to enable NetBIOS over TCP/IP
Tap the Win + R keys to open the Run dialog box.
Then type “ncpa.cpl” in the field and tap Enter to open the Network Connections window.
After that, right-click on your network and select Properties.
Next, double click on Internet Protocol Version 4 and click on the Advanced button.
From there, go to the WINS tab and shift the radio button to Enable NetBIOS over TCP/IP.
Now click OK to save the changes made and then restart your computer.
Option 7 – Update the Network Adapter drivers
You might also want to update the Network Adapter drivers by following these steps:
Tap the Win + R keys to launch the Run window and then type in the “MSC” command and hit Enter to open the Device Manager window.
Under the Device Manager, you will see a list of drivers. From there, look for the Network Adapters and expand it.
Then right-click on each one of the Network drivers and update them all.
Restart your PC and see if it helped in fixing the BSOD error.
Note: If updating the network drivers didn’t help in fixing Error code: 0x80070035, you can also try to uninstall the very same drivers and restart your Windows 10 PC. After that, the system itself will reinstall the drivers you just uninstalled. Alternatively, you can also download and install the drivers from the manufacturer’s website directly.
To reinstall the network adapter driver, refer to these steps:
Open the Devices Manager from the Win X Menu.
Then locate the device drivers and right-click on them to open the Properties.
After that, switch to the Driver tab and click on the Uninstall Device button.
Follow the screen option to completely uninstall it.
Finally, restart your computer. It will just reinstall the device drivers automatically.
Windows Updates are important and though it is not recommended for any user to turn it off completely, there are just some remote cases where you might have to keep it off. Such are the cases when you want to use your Windows 10 computer just for gaming and you don’t want Windows Update to interrupt it because of some messy driver update. A lot of users have in fact want to disable Windows 10 updates completely. Although you can always use the built-in option to delay Windows Updates or make Windows 10 inform you before downloading the updates, however, there are instances when Windows 10 Update may enable itself even after you turn it off or delay it. To resolve this issue, read on.
You may have to disable the Windows Update Medic Service if Windows Update just keeps on starting and turning itself back on even after turning it off in Windows 10 on top of turning off the Automatic Windows Update Service or wuauserv and setting a Guest Log on. To get started, refer to the instructions prepared below.
Option 1 – Change the Log on account of the Windows Update Service
It appears that one of the major upgrades in Windows 10 has made sure that Windows 10 enables back the Windows Update Service all on its own even if the service has been set to disable by the administrator. And that’s the important thing here, Windows 10 uses admin credentials in order to ensure that it can re-enable the Windows Update Service each time it is in a disabled state. So in this fix, you can prevent the Windows Update Service from changing the account credentials used to run it.
Tap the Win + R keys to open the Run prompt with admin privileges.
Then type “services.msc” and click OK or hit Enter to open Services.
After that, locate the Windows Update Service from the list. Once you see it, double-click on it to open its Properties.
From there, click the Stop button to stop the service.
Next, go to the Log On tab and select the “Log on as ‘Guest” option which is the Guest account.
Just leave the password blank and then click Apply to save the changes made.
Note: After you made the changes, every time the Windows 10 Update Service attempts to run, you might get an error message that states, “Windows could not start the Service” or “The account specified for this service is different from the account specified for other services running in the same process”.
This is what makes this fix a lot better compared to other software or batch file to keep turning off the Windows Update Service. You did not exactly disable the service but you just changed the account used to run the Windows Update service and since there is a password, the service never really works. On the other hand, Windows Defender can’t be stopped using this trick as it will keep getting an update.
Option 2 – Try to disable the Windows Update Medic Service using the Windows Update Blocker
Aside from changing the Log on account of the Windows Update Service, there is also another way you can prevent the service from enabling itself after you disable it. This alternative you can use is the Windows Update Blocker. This is a new Windows Service that was introduced in the recent Windows 10 versions. You can use this service to disable the service.
Code 19 is a Windows PC error code that indicates a damaged or corrupt registry. This code usually appears when trying to start a connected device, the DVD/ CD ROM drive. Code 19 is a type of Device Manager Error code.
When you experience Code 19, the error message is displayed on your Windows screen in either of the following formats:
"Windows cannot start this hardware device because its configuration information (in the registry) is incomplete or damaged. To fix this problem you should uninstall and then reinstall the hardware device. (Code 19)"
"Windows cannot start this hardware device because its configuration information (in the registry) is incomplete or damaged. To fix this problem you can first try running a Troubleshooting Wizard. If that does not work, you should uninstall and then reinstall the hardware device. (Code 19)"
You might encounter other error messages such as error code 42.
Error Causes
Typically the underlying cause of this error code is problems in the registry. The error should be fixed timely without any delays before the damage sets in. Registry issues are critical PC errors. If not resolved it can lead to system freeze, crash, and failure.
You are most likely to lose all your important data.
Further Information and Manual Repair
If you have come across this error on your computer, you don’t need to panic.
Though this is a serious issue the good news is that it is easy to resolve. You don’t have to be a computer programmer, technically sound or hire a technician to fix the error on your system.
Here are a couple of ways to work your way out of this problem:
1. Uninstall and then Reinstall the DVD/CD ROM Drive
For this here’s what you need to do: simply click on the start menu, and type Device Manager in the search box, and press enter. When the device manager window opens locate the DVD/CD ROM drives.
Click on the + sign to expand it. Now right click on the DVD drive click uninstall. After doing this, restart your PC. On the restart, Windows should automatically detect and reinstall the DVD driver. Once the driver installation is complete now see if the DVD drive works.
If the error still appears, then you need to repair the registry by deleting the corrupt registry entries. You can download drivers automatically by using a tool such as Restoro.
2. Trouble Shooting Method to Delete the Corrupt Registry Entries
To remove the corrupt registry entries, go to Start and select Run.
Type ‘Regedit and press enter to open the registry editor windows. To continue you may be asked to enter the administrator password, insert it to proceed. Now the registry window will be displayed.

Installing components

GIT

Once downloaded click on the Windows start button and type in Miniconda3 and click on open. Create a folder and name it how you want on a drive of your choice. For this example, we will install it all in disk C under folder AI_art, follow the instructions below but use your own names and destination instead. Do not close Minicoda3 after typing commands!!!

Extract GitHub files that you have downloaded into your new folder and get back to Minicoda3 and type the next commands:
Let the whole process finish, some files are large and it might take a while. After the whole process is finished and completed, copy the checkpoint file that you have downloaded into: C:\AI_art\stable-diffusion-main\models\ldm\stable-diffusion-v1
After the file is copied rename it to model.ckpt and you are finished.
Running Stable Diffusion
The created environment is needed in order to actually use Stable Diffusion to create images. Each time you want to use it you will have to run it, so go into Miniconda3, and inside it type:
conda activate ldm
cd C:\AI_art\stable-diffusion-main
after we are inside the folder call the script with the parameters:
python scripts/txt2img.py --prompt "TXT DESCRIPTION OF IMAGE THAT YOU WANT TO CREATE" --plms --n_iter 5 --n_samples 1
and that's it, your image is created and it is located in C:\AI_art\stable-diffusion-main\outputs\txt2img-samples\samples
