Error Causes
Error Code 0xC1900208 – 0x4000C is caused by a non-compatible application or program that is currently installed on your computer, and is not allowing the Microsoft Windows 10 upgrade to finish the installation and update process.
The upgrade is stopped due to an incompatible app or program.
Out of date or no longer supported software can cause this error to occur.

Method 1:
Use the get Microsoft Windows 10 application on your computer to check its compatibility, follow the steps below to run the check.
Look at the taskbar, to the right; you will see an icon for Microsoft Windows 10, right-click the icon. Locate the option in the menu to check the status of your upgrade. This will open an app for getting Microsoft Windows 10.
Next, you will see 3 lines on top of one another on the upper left side, this will open a drop-down menu, once you have this menu open, locate the option to check the compatibility of your computer.
Microsoft Windows will then run a check of your entire computer to check for compatibility with Microsoft Windows 10. Once it has finished its check, a pop-up window will display whether or not your computer will work with Microsoft Windows 10, and will also display a list of any hardware and software that are not compatible with the upgrade.
This may not catch everything and there may still be incompatible programs so the previous steps, though time-consuming may still be necessary.
Method 2:
Once the incompatible applications are discovered, use the control panel to remove/uninstall them. The steps are below:
Locate your computer’s Control Panel.
Choose the option that says “Programs”
From the options available, select the ‘Programs and Features’ link.
Locate the app in the queue or menu.
Right-click and choose the uninstall option.

You can also locate the app on the ‘app homepage’, right-click and choose the ‘uninstall’ option. If after following these steps the problem is still not corrected, download and install an automated tool for a quick fix.
The file is too large for the destination file system is the error when you try to copy a file larger than 4GB on a drive formatted in the FAT32 file system. FAT32 is the old file system used in previous Windows versions and it was replaced by superior NTFS, altho FAT32 is still used because of its compatibility fact that it could be accessed in various operating systems its disadvantage among others is that it can not hold files larger than 4GB in size. This refers to the size of a single file, so if you have a file that is this large and when you try to copy or move it on a drive formatted in FAT32 you will get this message, and the operation will not be able to complete.
Format drive
In order to actually transfer the file in its glorious size, I am afraid that you will need to format destination drive in NTFS or if you have data on drive which you do not want to lose with formatting, use third-party software to convert file system from FAT32 to NTFS without losing data. I would recommend AOMEI partition assistant, it is a free and proven application letting you both manage your partitions and convert any one of them into another file system without data loss. Split file
Another option if you are not keen on installing third-party tools or formating is to divide large files into smaller ones that are less than 4GB in size. You can use any archiving application since built-in Windows ZIP support will not let you split file into various different sizes. The best tool in my humble opinion is WinRAR, but you can choose any proven one. When file is split into parts less than 4GB in size, you will have no issues copying or move the file to the destination drive.
If you are trying to copy a folder or a file but encountered an error that says, “An unexpected error is keeping you from copying the folder. If you continue to receive this error, you can use the error code to search for help with this problem”, read on as this post will guide you on how you can fix this error.
This kind of error is a CHKDSK error. It is the “Volume is dirty” error message with error code 0x80071AC3 which indicates that the CHKDSK operation on your computer did not go through due to some corrupted sector of your hard drive, data corruption, corrupted system files, malware infection, as well as improper installation of an application that left some residual folders and files and many more.
To fix the Error 0x80071AC3, here are some potential fixes you can check out to resolve it:
Option 1 – Run the Check Disk utility
You can also run the Check Disk utility to fix the error when you connect your USB or external device.

In the Start Search, type “command prompt” in the field and right-click on Command Prompt from the search results, and then select the “Run as administrator” option.
After opening Command Prompt with admin privileges, execute this command: fsutil dirty query <PARTITION LETTER>
After that, you will see either of the following results of the command you just executed:
“Volume <PARTITION LETTER> is dirty”
“Volume <PARTITION LETTER> is not dirty”
If you see the “Volume <PARTITION LETTER> is dirty” message, then you can just skip checking the drive for errors by executing this command: CHKNTFS /X <PARTITION LETTER>
Option 3 – Try to format the destination drive
If the first two options above didn’t work, then you might want to try formatting the drive can also help you resolve the error. To format it, follow these steps:
To get started formatting your drive, tap the Win + E keys and then go to the access page of the drive.
Next, right-click on the drive and select Format.
After that, uncheck the “Quick Format” option and then format your drive properly.
Now once the formatting process is finished, unplug the drive and plug it back in afterward.
Check if the error is already fixed. If the drive is not initialized, tap the Win + R keys and hit Enter.
After opening the Run dialog box, type “diskmgmt.msc” and hit Enter to open Disk Management.

This Windows 10 upgrade error has been the talk of the Internet. In fact, users of Windows OS have been making it a mockery. Clearly, not many have had success after encountering this error. Obviously, “something happened” but it’s just not easy to decipher what went wrong. Microsoft is still trying to figure it out.

Silverlight
Silverlight was meant to be a competitor for Adobe Flash, it is a WEB framework that enables rich media content inside your WEB browser. The issue is that it is not developed anymore and today's browsers do not support it.
The only browser that actually can support it is internet explorer which itself is not supported and how there is practically 0 content on today's modern WEB that will require Silverlight, it is safe and recommended to remove it.
Adobe Flash
Speaking of Adobe Flash, you should remove it as well. Flash has stopped receiving support as of January 2021 and browsers have dropped support for it and even blocked it due to security issues.
However, there still might be some local installation of Flash itself inside Windows along with the old Shockwave player that stopped receiving support in 2019. You should remove them both.
JAVA
Now this one is tricky, by itself JAVA does not present any security issues since browsers do not support it anymore and the desktop version is not really slowing down your computer. This one has simply put just another media runtime that is not used and simply takes up space and resources.
However if you have some applications that you do use that rely on it (I can really just think of JAVA Minecraft at this point) leave it of course but in any other case, it is just purely not needed.
Quicktime
While we are at media runtime and stuff that just simply is not needed, Quicktime is one of them. Now this Apple Video player and codec is still pretty developed and active in Apple’s iOS environment, Windows version has not been updated since 2016 and it was discovered that it contains some critical vulnerabilities.
Uninstall it and if you need a player that could play MOV files, just use a VLC player that can play them without any separately installed codec.
uTorrent
This one, the same as CCleaner was once a good application, as a matter of fact, it was the best torrenting application. Sadly it has fallen from its grace very low, from getting tons of ads in its interface to findings in 2015 that code of torrent client was packed with a crypto miner that used system resources of an installed computer to mine crypto without user’s awareness.
You should uninstall this torrent client if you would like to get your PC back and not provide it for cryptocurrency mining for the company that developed it. Use qBittorrent or TIxati, open-source and free ones that have everything needed for any torrenting needs.
Toolbars and Browser extensions
There are a lot of toolbars for browsers and extensions that are malicious in nature or simply not updated providing security issues. It is very advisable to remove this as soon as possible.
WinRAR
WinRAR has gained its large popularity solely for the reason that you could download it from the official site like shareware and use it forever. The license never expired and you could use it indefinitely. Sadly not much has been improved in the application itself and it is slowly falling out in its range of what it can do.
There are better open source and free options today like 7zip, PeaZip, ZIPvare, and more that are working the same as WinRAR if not even better.
Windows and manufacturers Bloatware
Yes, applications that come bundled with Windows and with some laptops that include manufacturers made software for different tasks like its own specific media players, calculators, etc.
It is known that these applications are not better than their open-source rivals and there are too many of them including some that you will probably never use. It is the same as buying a new phone bundled with tons of applications that you do not need, did not ask for, and do not use. Delete all of them.
Considering Windows there are also some Store application like Candy Crush Saga demo and other are safe to remove if not needed.
That’s it, our advice for old and not needed applications so you can keep your PC safe and fast.
Bluetooth perhaps is slowly becoming an outdated feature but sometimes you can really used it and need it.
By default, in Windows 11 Bluetooth is turned OFF so if you need it, you will need to turn it ON first. Luckily turning it ON is easy and we will guide you through the process
Turning Bluetooth using the Quick Settings menu
The easiest and fastest way to turn the Bluetooth ON is using the quick setting menu:
Click on indicator icons located left of date and time in Taskbar
Click on the Bluetooth icon (if the icon is not displayed, click on the pencil icon, then click on Add and add Bluetooth icon from the list)
Right-click on the Bluetooth icon and select go to Settings
Go to Adding a Bluetooth Device to Windows 11 section
Switch it ON via Windows Settings
Open Windows settings by using ⊞ WINDOWS + I combination
Click on Bluetooth & Devices
Inside settings turn Switch to ON beside Bluetooth
Click + Add Device large button on top
Click Bluetooth
Select device in the list of found devices (make sure device is turned ON, it has Bluetooth sharing ON, and that it is in pairing mode)
If the device needs the password, type it in

Advice on Bluetooth devices
Note that the Bluetooth devices you connect to Windows 11 stay linked to your PC unless you pair them with a different PC, smartphone, or tablet later.
After a time, most Bluetooth devices power down automatically to save battery life. To continue where you left off, either power the Bluetooth device up (if it has a power button) or press a button on a keyboard or mouse, and it should automatically turn on and reconnect with your PC.
If you’re having trouble connecting your Bluetooth device, make sure that Windows 11 is fully updated and that you’ve installed any drivers that came with your device.
Make sure that the device is fully charged or that it has a fresh set of batteries.

Removing devices
If you need to remove (un-pair) a Bluetooth device, just open Windows Settings and navigate to Bluetooth & Devices. Locate the name of the device that you want to remove, click the three dots button in the corner of its square and select Remove Device.
Error 0x80070057 is a typical Windows 7 error code.
It may occur when you try to back up files by using Windows Backup on Windows 7 and the backup fails. The error message is often displayed as the following:

Here are some of the best and easy DIY methods to resolve the error 0x80070057 on your PC.
Solution 1: Change the Decimal Symbol Setting
As mentioned above the error 0x80070057 sometimes can be triggered by misconfigured decimal symbol settings. Therefore, try changing the settings to fix the problem. The error is likely to occur if the decimal symbol is not set to ‘.’ (dot).
This is common in languages and locales other than English such as German.
Here’s what you need to do to change the decimal symbol setting:
First, open the Control Panel, click the clock, then language, and then region.
Now click the formats tab and go to the additional settings menu.
Here you will find the decimal symbol field, now type "." (dot) and then click OK twice.
After that, you must restart your PC to activate the changes.
Solution 2: Create a New Partition and Reinstall Windows 7
If the error 0x80070057 is linked to partition damage, then this method is the best way to resolve it. Here’s what you need to do:
Insert the Windows 7 DVD and start the installation.
Select your language preference to install. Here you will see a screen of the Microsoft License Agreement. Click on the I accept option to proceed with the installation process.
Then click next.
Choose a custom advance option and select the Disk O partition 1 option.
Once selected, click delete. When you do this you will be prompted if you want to confirm the deletion, click OK to continue.
Now repeat the same however now select Disk O partition 2.
Delete this partition as well. Now click New to create a new partition. Here define the disk size and then click apply. Please note, the size of the default value is the maximum size of the disk.

Solution 3: Add a Registry Key Value
If the underlying cause of the error 0x80070057 is a registry issue, then it is serious as such issues can put your PC at serious risks like system failure, crash, and data loss.
To resolve this error and add a registry key value here’s what you need to do:
Go to the start menu and type Regedit.exe in the search bar and then press enter. Locate and click the following registry sub-key:

What has changed for good?
New textures, effects, and resolutions are one thing that will come first into your focus when you start the game. From the moment game is started it feels and looks like a game you remember from a long time ago. Models are also upgraded with a higher polygon count.
Another thing that will hit you right away is the legendary OST by Trent Reznor in its full glory. If you have the original Quake and played it you will know that OST was missing from the Steam release and having it fully back is a great feature. I would argue that placing just OST alone in the steam release is enough for people to play it again since it adds so much atmosphere.
Deathmatch and other multiplayer goodies are all here as well and there is a completely free new episode in the game with several levels. Yes, you get a free Quake upgrade in HD with an extra episode completely free.
The bad side of Quake coin
So this might come as a purist or obsessive nit-picking but there were two things that I, personally am not a fan of and have noticed during my gameplay. Please know that this is personal preference and by no other chance reflects the quality of the game itself but I just had to talk about it.
Quake remake is made in a new engine and as such dynamic and gunplay feel different from the original, granted they have done the best they could to replicate the authentic feeling of the original game but there are parts of the game where I have felt that simply put, it feels different.
Another thing is also tied to technology and the overall game is somewhat a little brighter and in some areas little softer in dark areas. Like I said this is purely personal preference and might come as nitpicking but I preferred the darker and grittier look of the original game. Darkplaces, the free custom-made upgrade did this in my opinion better.
Error Causes
Over time Applications change, some for the better some for worse. Some of them even stop receiving updates and are old and vulnerable. Sometimes standards change and some file types are not used anymore. Software evolves along with technology and that is good.
