The error 0x80004005 may also be triggered due to viral infection or spyware. Such malicious software enters your PC through phishing emails and while downloading files and attachments. As you know, the functioning of the Windows Sandbox feature is supported by various components in the background of the Windows operating system. And the only way for you to enable the Windows Sandbox feature in your computer is through the Turn Windows features on or off utility. This feature will work directly on the basis of Virtualization which is also supported by Hyper-V. However, there are some reports claiming that some computers have the Windows 10 Sandbox item greyed out in the Turn Windows features on or off utility. Thus, in this post, you will be guided on what you can do to resolve such a problem in your Windows 10 computer. In this kind of problem, you should know that this has something to do with the Second Level Address Translation which is one of the important pillars of how the Windows 10 Sandbox feature functions. Thus, if the Second Level Address Translation or SLAT feature in Windows Sandbox is not supported by the CPU of your computer, there is no way for you to use Windows Sandbox on your computer. On the other hand, if SLAT is supported, then there is definitely something you can do to resolve the greyed-out Sandbox item in Windows 10.

To get started, follow the steps provided below.

Step 1: First, you have to boot into the BIOS of your PC. Step 2: After that, make sure that the following options are set to their respective configurations:

• Hyper-V – Enabled
• VM Monitor Mode – Yes
• Virtualization – Enabled
• Second Level Address Translation (VT-d or RVI) – Enabled
• Data Execution Prevention – Enabled

Step 3: Once you’re done, save the configuration and then restart your Windows 10 computer as usual. Step 4: Once your computer has restarted, you should see the same option in the Turn Windows features on or off utility and it should no longer be greyed out. Then you can now enable the feature and follow the onscreen instructions need to use the feature as best as you can.

Typical use of file explorer will probably not need any kind of elevated privileges, but from time to time you might encounter some tasks that will require administrator rights in order to perform them. If this is the case you will need to run file explorer with these rights but inside Windows 11 that is somewhat hidden and not 1 click away. How this is the case we have decided to put a little tutorial on how to accomplish this very task and run file explorer with administrator privileges.

Open File Explorer via EXE file

1. Open File Explorer typically
2. Navigate to This PC > Windows (C:) > Windows
3. Locate file explorer application
4. Right-click on it and select Run as Administrator
5. Run File Explorer

A new instance of file explorer will pop with elevated administrator privileges.

Run it as an administrator using the Task Manager

1. Open the Task Manager ( CTRL + SHIFT + ESC )
2. Click on More details (at the bottom)
3. After the task manager expands click on the File tab
4. Click on Run New Task
5. Type in explorer.exe and check the box next to it that says Create this task with administrative privileges
6. Click on OK

File Explorer will now run as administrator.

The docking station was promised upon release of the Deck but it was pushed back and now the official statement is that it is delayed again.

“Due to parts shortages and COVID closures at our manufacturing facilities, the official Steam Deck Docking Station is delayed. We’re working on improving the situation and will share more info when we have it.”

The docking station was presented at the same time as Deck itself and the whole idea was to make Steam Deck work like a laptop docking station. It has ports for USB devices, displays, and network connections that became functional the moment Deck is placed on it. Docking supports a mouse, keyboard, and external display making it an almost full PC station if needed.

Valve confirmed that its official dock station will not improve performance so while you wait for its release you can use another docking station with a USB Type-C connector.

Windows photo viewer was a popular photo viewing application integrated into Windows 7, 8, and 8.1 but in Windows 10 it has been replaced with photos, Microsoft's new application aimed at photo viewing on your desktop. Now if any one of you wonders why should be bringing the old application back to Windows 10 since we have an alternative one, the answer would be resources and speed. The old photo viewer application is lightweight, fast, and reliable, opening the same photo in both photo viewer and in new photos shows us that Microsofts new viewer application takes even three times more RAM, and it's visibly slower in loading times for pictures. Since I am a person who prefers speed and functionality over fancy looks I would be very glad to have the option to bring back a photo viewer. If you have by any chance Windows 10 as an upgrade, bringing back photo viewer is easy as 1,2,3. you just need to open settings and go to default apps, under photo viewer you should see your current default viewing application, probably photos, click on it to see options and choose photo viewer and exit the Settings menu, and you're done. Sadly if Windows 10 has been installed clean on the system and not as upgrade things are a little bit more complicated but do not worry, stay with us, keep reading and you will get there.

Yup, that is a lot of keys and settings but you are almost done. Once you have pasted text into your new notepad document save it but as .REG, you can name it however you want but it has to be .REG extension. Once the file is saved double click on it to merge it into the Windows registry. You might need to turn off UAC for this operation (check our tutorial on this topic) and accept warning messages but once it is done you should now have an old photo viewer as a choice for your default viewing application. All you have to do now is to go to settings and go to default apps, under photo viewer you should see your current default viewing application, probably photos, click on it to see options and choose photo viewer and exit the Settings menu, and you're done.
