2. Select “run as administrator” (enter a password if asked to do so).
3. Enter the following command into the command prompt- “sfc/scannow”, press ENTER.
4. Do not close the command prompt window until the entire process is complete.
5. The scan will determine if you have any missing or corrupted files. You will receive a message that says either: “Windows Resource Protection did not find any integrity violations”.Or “Windows Resource Protection could not perform the requested operation”.
6. If you received the first message, then your files are fine. The second message indicates that there are file corruption issues.
7. To repair the disjointed files, restart your PC in SAFE MODE, and reopen the command prompt window.
8. Enter the following command into the command prompt- “sfc/scannow”, press ENTER.
9. After the scan is run again, you will receive a message stating that the files have been successfully repaired.
10. Restart your PC in normal mode and start the Microsoft Windows 10 upgrade again.

Installing Cortana on Android

1. Download and install the Cortana app from the Google Play store.

5. Click the settings button and select Sync Notifications.
6. By default, missed calls, incoming messages, and low battery notifications will be turned on. You can turn this on\off from here. The only option off by default is for App notifications. Any non-system apps such as Facebook and Instagram can also send alerts to your Windows box. You can choose to enable the App notification sync option or leave it off.
7. If you enable “App notification sync,” you will need to give Cortana permissions to read and control notifications on your phone.

1. Click the Windows button and type Cortana. Click the icon for Cortana and Search Settings.
2. Scroll through the settings list and look for Send notifications between devices
3. Click the switch to turn it on.
4. Sign in to the same Microsoft account you used in the previous section
5. Navigate back to the Cortana & Search settings tool.
6. Click Edit Sync Settings. Make sure that your phone shows up on the list. You can also determine if you want PC notifications are sent to your phone.

With those settings in place, you should now start getting alerts for the items you enabled in your Action Center. Press the Windows key and R. Then, type in services.msc. After the Services window starts up, find the following services:  BITS, MSI Installer, Cryptographic, and Windows Update Services. When these services are found, make sure that they are up and running. If one or more of these services is not running, make sure that they are started. To do this, select the service and then click on Start the Service.

Method Four: Windows Update Troubleshooting

Press the Windows key plus W and then type in “troubleshooting”.  Select Troubleshooting. On the top left corner, select View All. Click on Windows Update troubleshooter.
