Free Download Manager is a software program developed by FreeDownloadManager.ORG. According to the publisher:

This software downloads files and converts videos. Its features include integration with all browsers, support of downloads from RapidShare, BitTorrent support, adjusting traffic usage, resuming broken downloads, and adds BitTorrent support, flash video download, upload manager, portable mode, and remote control.

During setup, the program creates a startup registration point in Windows in order to automatically start when any user boots the PC. It adds a browser extension to help it cache files you are downloading over your browser. The software is designed to connect to the internet and adds a Windows Firewall exception in order to do so without being interfered with. It also hooks up to start automatically and cache every download even if it's turned off.

Cannot save media from Microsoft Photos
The Microsoft Photos app is a useful tool that allows users to view, edit, as well as create videos on their Windows 10 computers. One of these issues is when you cannot save media from the Photos app after you’ve edited an image. This is most likely related to a permission issue. Option 1 – Try to update the Microsoft Photos app

Option 2 – Try to verify the ownership of the destination folder

The next thing you can do to fix the error is to verify the ownership of the folder because chances are, the location where you’re trying to save the file might not have enough permissions to read and write the file to the disk. Thus, you need to take ownership of the folder by following these steps:
  • Type “command prompt” in the Windows Search bar and then right-click on the relevant search result and select “Run as administrator”.
  • After that, if a User Account Control or UAC prompt appears, just click on Yes to proceed.
  • Next, type and enter this command: TAKEOWN /F <path>
  • Note that the <path> is the location of the folder or file in File Explorer.
  • Now type and enter this second command: ICACLS <path> /grant administrators:F

Option 3 – Try resetting the Photos app

If the first option of restarting the background process of the Photos app didn’t work for you, you can try to reset the Photos app so that it will use the default factory settings. Note that this option works when you are experiencing this issue after making a couple of changes in the Photos app.

Unblock your network ports

Network ports allow certain types of data to be successfully sent over a network that is used by our services. If you have any of these blocked, it may result in you being unable to connect to our games or use our services properly. To unblock your ports on your router do the following:

Windows

First, you will need to get your default gateway and internal IP address:

  1. Click on Start.
  2. Type cmd and press Enter.
  3. Type ipconfig and press Enter.
  4. Take note of your Default Gateway and IPv4.

Configuring your router to unblock the ports

  1. Open your web browser.
  2. Type your Default Gateway into the address bar and press Enter. (A common Default Gateway is 192.168.1.1)
  3. You may be asked for a username and password. This varies for each router. Before entering anything, try just hitting OK. If that doesn't work, try the common default username and password below: Username: admin Password: password If these don't work, you can check this website for a list of usernames and passwords based on your router model.
  4. Locate the Port Forwarding page in the administration tool and click on it.
  5. Make sure you have Port Forwarding selected and not Port Triggering as this is completely different.
  6. On this screen, you will need to enter the ports and port ranges below with the correct protocol and local IP of which you took note of above: 80 (TCP/UDP), 433 (TCP), 443 (TCP), 3478 (TCP/UDP), 3479 (TCP/UDP), 5060 (TCP/UDP), 5062 (TCP/UDP), 5222 (TCP), 6250 (TCP/UDP), and12000-65000 (TCP/UDP).

“This policy setting allows you to specify a list of Plug and Play hardware IDs and compatible IDs for devices that Windows is prevented from installing. This policy setting takes precedence over any other policy setting that allows Windows to install a device. If you enable this policy setting Windows is prevented from installing a device whose hardware ID or compatible ID appears in the list you create. If you enable this policy setting on a remote desktop server the policy setting affects the redirection of the specified devices from a remote desktop client to the remote desktop server. If you disable or do not configure this policy setting devices can be installed and updated as allowed or prevented by other policy settings.”
  • Now set the radio button of the policy setting to “Enabled”. This will turn off the delete confirmation prompt. Note that setting the radio button to either Not Configured or Disabled will turn off the driver being automatically updated.
  • Next, click on the Show button under the Options section. And in the field that pops up, type in the Hardware ID of your GPU and click OK. You can find the GPU’s Hardware ID under this location: Device Manager > <DEVICE NAME> Properties > Details > Hardware IDs
  • Once you’re done, click the Apply and OK buttons to save the changes made.
