Roblox is a very popular online game with millions of gamers playing it each day and as such it will naturally bring a lot of malware and attack on players trying to steal and exploit them for monetary gains. The latest attack and high-profile stealing of currency and assets happened exactly in Roblox.
Malicious activities have been reported to come from chrome extensions. So far 2 extensions have been identified that have hidden malware inside them but there could be more of them currently undetected. Extensions work as a front while in the back they mine user logins and other data in order to steal stuff from the Roblox platform.
To make things worse some of the malware is within long extensions like SearchBlox. The SearchBlox extension allows you to search quickly for other users if it was legitimate but has been compromised within the last month. There is evidence that people are stealing Roblox currency with the data gathered by the hidden backdoor in it.
SearchBlox extension is still Active in Chrome Web Store, with the primary listing still with the "Featured " badge. Google is actively removing malicious software from its storefront on a regular basis but this one still lingers in it.
If you or your kid have this Chrome extension installed, uninstall it right away and always be careful about which extension you install and give access to your system, keep them updated and check various blogs and article sites to inform yourself when a bad one is found.
When Windows evolved into Windows 10, the program known as Windows Security Essentials is no longer. It is now the program known as Windows Defender. When a computer is upgraded from a previous version of Windows up to Windows 10, the Windows Defender takes over and will replace the Security Essentials. In a small percentage of Windows 10 upgrades, something will go wrong and the new program will fail to replace Security Essentials. The result will be that the operating system has both of the programs installed. In this case, Windows Defender will not offer any protection and Security Essentials will not be able to defend either. This error code will also present itself when the Windows Mail App in Windows 10 fail to retrieve and sync email from the user's account.
Common symptoms include:
There will be an error message that says: “An error has occurred in the program initialization. If this problem does continue, contact your System Admin. Error code 0x80070426.”
The computer will be left completely vulnerable to spyware and viruses.
The Windows Mail App will not be able to retrieve mail and will not sync with the PC user's mail.
The user can be doing anything on their computer and the error code will show up unprompted.
The computer will lock up, become slow, crash, or even freeze when dealing with error code 0x80070426.
The programs from an older version of Windows do not replace the newer version from Windows 10.
Solution
Error Causes
Error code 0x80070426 will present itself when a PC user has upgraded their OS from a previous version of Windows to the new Windows 10 version. When this happens, a small portion of users will experience the disconnect between older versions of specific programs, namely the virus protection. When the previous version of the program under a different name is not completely removed and the new virus protection program is installed, the programs will cancel each other out and collectively offer no protection.
This error code may also be found when Windows 10 tries to sync the user's email with the Windows Mail App.
Further Information and Manual Repair
There are a few methods to repair this problem. It should be noted that should anyone feel that the instructions are too complicated, they should contact a Windows repair technician to ensure that the error is fixed properly.
Method One: Uninstall Microsoft Essentials
Hold down the Windows Key and press R. Type in taskmgr into the run dialogue. You should locate the Windows Defender Service (this may show up as Windefend). Right-click on it and then choose Stop.
This will stop the program, but the program will start back up automatically when the computer restarts. While this program is stopped, uninstall Essentials.
To do this: go to Control Panel, Programs, and Features, Uninstall a Program. Alternately, you may hold down the Windows Key and press R, type in appwiz.cpl, click OK, and then locate Microsoft Essentials. Uninstall it, and then restart your computer.
After this is done, go to Settings, Update, and Security. Choose Windows Defender and ensure that Real-time protection is on. Refer back to the Task Manager, Services. Make sure that Defender service is on and running.
Method Two: If the problem occurs in the Windows Mail App
When error code 0x80070426 presents itself in the form of an error with the Mail app, it may be necessary to run an SFC scan.
Right-click on the Start menu or Windows icon, and select Command prompt. The command prompt may be navigated by using shortcut keys Win and X and then select it.
Run the command prompt and then type in sfc /scannow and then press enter. The SFC scan will be run, and be careful not to abort the process before it has finished. This will scan for any files that are lost or corrupt on the PC.
If the scan has found any corrupt files, type in this code and then hit Enter: findstr /c:”[SR]” %windir%LogsCBSCBS.log >”%userprofile%Desktopsfcdetails.txt.
To skip the repair of corrupt or missing files, type in: Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth. The details of the scan can be found on the sfcdetails.txt file that will be on the desktop.
Method Three: Use An Automated Tool
If you wish to always have at your disposal a utility tool to fix these Windows 10 and other related issues when they do arise, download and install a powerful automated tool.
If you suddenly encounter Activation Error codes such as 0xC004E016, 0xC004F210, 0xC004F034, and 0xC004F00F on your Windows 10 computer, then they all point to the same issue – Invalid Product Key or Version mismatch. When you see any of the aforementioned error codes above, it indicates that you are either entering a wrong product key or you are using an incorrect ISO when installing it on your computer. In such cases, you may see either of the following error messages:
“You are running Windows 10 Pro, but you have a valid digital license for Windows 10 Home.”
Or:
“The specified product key is invalid or is unsupported by this version.”
If you got the error code 0xC004F00F then it means that you’ve entered a product key for the Enterprise edition of Windows to activate Windows 10 Pro or Windows 10 Home. It could be that you have a key from your work and you accidentally use it on your Home PC.
If you got the error codes 0xC004E016, 0xC004F210, then it means that you have entered a product key that is meant for a different edition or version of Windows. On the other hand, if you got the error code 0xC004F034 instead, then it means that you have entered an invalid product key or a product key for a different Windows version.
Whichever error codes you have, refer to the possible solutions given below to fix the Invalid Product Key or Version mismatch Activation Error in Windows 10.
Option 1 – Try running the Windows 10 Activation Troubleshooter
The first thing you can do to resolve this Activation error is to run the Windows 10 Activation Troubleshooter. To do so, follow these steps:
Go to Settings and then select Activation.
After that, click on the Windows Activation and then troubleshoot. This will help you address most of the commonly found activation issues in Windows devices.
Option 2 – Try purchasing a new license
There is an exception offered by Microsoft – if you are connected to a Microsoft account prior to the hardware change, then you can most certainly use the same license key to reactivate Windows 10 again. Microsoft calls this an “Exception path” which should be fixed easily by the Windows Activation Troubleshooter as pointed out earlier. However, if the Windows Activation Troubleshooter isn’t able to resolve the error you can try purchasing a new license. In such rate case, even if you do have a Microsoft account available on your Windows 10 computer, and if Windows was never activated, this solution will not work. And if you haven’t connected your Microsoft account with your Windows 10 computer prior to the major hardware change, then your only option left is to purchase a new license. For you to do that here are some steps you can follow.
To purchase a new Windows license, the first thing you have to do is click on the Start button > Settings > Update & Security.
From there, go to Activation and select the “Go to Microsoft Store” option.
After receiving your new license, you need to go back to Update & Security then go to Activation and select the “Change product key” option.
Now update your Windows 10 computer using the new key and it should automatically activate your computer.
Next, you have to create a Microsoft account or connect to your existing local account to your online account.
Once the system links the key and the account, you need not buy a new license in case something like this happens again.
Note: If you are an IT administrator, you need to keep in mind that there is a limit to the number of times you can reactivate Windows on your computer. Moreover, if you don’t see any option to reactivate the license, and it is a work computer, you need to contact your organization’s tech support.
Option 3 – Try activating Windows 10 via mobile phone
Activating Windows 10 can also be done using your phone. Just note that you have to call Microsoft to do so.
In the Start Search box, type in “Slui 4” and tap Enter.
Next, select your country and click on Next.
Keep the window open and call the toll-free number of the country you’re from.
Afterward, a confirmation ID should be given by the automated system which you must take a note of.
Finally, in the box on the window, type in the confirmation ID and click on the Activate button. That should do it.
Windows Setup in Continuous Reboot Loop – What is it?
After upgrading to Windows 10 operating system from Windows 7 or Windows 8/8.1, a lot of Windows users are complaining about the Windows setup in a continuous reboot loop. The computer would just keep on rebooting every time the machine is booted and this incites frustration for a lot of Windows users.
Solution
Error Causes
When Windows launched the third update for Windows 10, users trying to upgrade to Windows 10 encountered an endless reboot loop problem. The computer will crash repeatedly. The KB3081424, which is a roll-up of bug fixes of Windows 10, continuously fails once you start the update process and then triggers a message showing: “We couldn’t complete the updates, undoing the changes.” The undoing process will then cause a system reboot mandatorily.
Once you log back on your computer again, the Windows 10 update will try to reinstall KB3081424. You will not be able to stop the update which will cause your Windows setup in a continuous reboot loop.
The KB3081424 will not be successfully installed since if it fails for the first time, that initial failure can be detected to create a bad entry in your Windows 10 registry. This will then prevent your subsequent attempts to reinstall KB3081424 to make it work correctly.
Further Information and Manual Repair
In order to fix the problem of Windows 10 setup in a continuous reboot loop, there are a few methods you can try. Try following these simple steps and you’ll be able to get rid of the problem.
Note: If you’re not highly confident to solve this issue on your own, it is highly recommended to consult an authorized computer technician who would be knowledgeable enough to fix the issue for you. In addition, you can also use a system optimizer to resolve the issue.
Method One: Check For Windows Update
Microsoft Windows released an updated fix for the Windows setup in continuous reboot loop problem. You can try fixing the issue through Windows Update.
Open Settings
Go to Update & Security
Select Windows Update then choose Check for updates
At this point, an additional update will be installed and downloaded to your operating system to resolve the continuous reboot loop problem.
Method Two: Eliminate Bad Registry Entry
Before KB3081424 attempts to install again, you can try doing this solution:
Click on the Start menu then type regedit
Once the window opens, go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREMicrosoftWindows NTCurrentVersionProfileList
Create a backup for your registry key (since this process is a bit risky). Select ProfileList then click on File and Export then choose your backup name.
From the ProfileList IDs, remove anything with ProfileImagePath in it.
Close Regedit then reboot. By this time, the KB3081424 should properly install.
Method Three: Perform A Startup Repair
Another thing you can try to solve the Windows setup in continuous reboot loop problem is to perform a startup repair from a working computer.
Ensure that all unnecessary devices are disconnected from your computer as your computer might detect them.
If you are connected to a network, you need to disconnect from this as well.
On a working computer, download the Windows 10 ISO then you can perform a startup repair.
Boot your computer from the Windows 10 DVD.
To change your BIOS option to boot from the Windows 10 DVD, follow these steps:
Boot your computer then press the F2 function key to enter setup.
NOTE: You must do this quickly since the BIOS loads rapidly.
Once you’re inside the BIOS, navigate to the Boot Configuration screen. On this screen, you’ll be able to change the first device to be loaded.
Go to Removable Devices then hit Enter. Removable devices could either be a thumb drive or DVD. Select DVD to put it at the top and be the first boot device.
Save your changes by pressing on the F10 function key. A setup confirmation box will appear with a message Save configuration changes and exit now. Select Yes.
Exit BIOS by pressing on the ESC key. You should be prompted to boot from the Windows 10 DVD at this point.
If you're not able to execute the aforementioned processes on your own, get help or download and install a powerful system optimizerto assist with the windows continuous reboot loop process and other Windows 10 error messages.
Internal Error 2324 occurs when you try to upgrade Firefox on your Windows 7 PC. The program fails to install and run successfully. The following error message is displayed:
‘The installer encountered an unexpected error installing this package. This may indicate a problem with this package. The error code is 2324.’
Solution
Error Causes
This error may occur due to different reasons. These include:
Viral infection
Bad registry entries (cookies or traces of old version of Firefox program)
Other programs running on your PC during Firefox program installation
Installation was not performed from the Administrator account
To use the Firefox web browser successfully on your PC, you first need to resolve error 2324 on your system.
Further Information and Manual Repair
To repair error 2324, try the following methods:
Method 1 - Perform a Clean Reinstall.
This means to remove the Firefox program completely from your PC and then reinstall it. To do this, remove the Firefox installation folder saved in one of the locations by default:
C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox
C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Firefox
Now download the latest Firefox version on your PC and save the setup file on your computer. After that double click, the downloaded installation file and follow the steps illustrated in the wizard to install Firefox on your PC.
Method 2
Sometimes Firefox installation may fail because of the interference from other programs running on your PC. Therefore, it is advisable to close all programs running in the background when upgrading the Firefox program.
You can also disable programs like Logitech QuickCam and Spybot Tea Timer. These are some of the many programs that are notorious for interfering with Firefox updates.
Method 3 - Scan for viruses to resolve.
Viruses are malicious programs that often enter computers through files downloads from unreliable websites and phishing emails. These programs then hide in your PC and infect it.
You may often experience problems during program installation if your PC is infected by viruses. To fix the issue and ensure smooth Firefox program installation on your system, simply run an antivirus.
Antivirus scans and detects all viruses in a few minutes. Upon detection, remove them right away to ensure your PC is free from such malicious programs. Now try updating Firefox on your system again. If it is updated smoothly, then the error is resolved.
Method 4
The registry of your system stores all the activities performed on your PC. You may have uninstalled the old Firefox version from the Control Panel but the traces of the uninstalled program may still remain in the registry as bad entries.
These bad entries may be causing error 2324 to pop up on your PC. To resolve, you need to remove these entries from the registry. For quick removal, download Restoro.
It is a user-friendly PC Fixer with a registry cleaner that scans and removes all obsolete files stored in the registry such as incorrect registry keys, bad entries, cookies, and junk files.

What software are you using to keep your information and all your files and memories safe?
None? Yikes. Let’s hope no damage has been done to your data yet then. Because with how the digital world has evolved, your data might be getting leaked and you have no idea.
Why do you need to invest in security software?
There’s really no good excuse not to purchase a quality platform for PC protection. Especially since top security solutions are available at such affordable prices nowadays, your wallet would barely even notice it.
At this point, only people who barely use their PCs and have zero sensitive information on them can get away with simply using the built-in Windows 10/11 security software. But we guarantee that those people are extremely hard to find and that you’re not one of them, and here’s why.
Even if you don’t use your computer for things that are very obviously sensitive, such as internet banking, you still have some personal data at risk of being stolen. How so? Well, think about the data you enter into your social media profiles, for example. How devastating would it be if somebody got a hold of any of it? Yep, that’s what we thought.

In the hands of a skilled cybercriminal, your phone number alone could put you at risk of scams, ransomware, identity theft and more. Also think about the stuff you share in texts and social media chats. Think about the websites you visit and how many times you may have accidentally clicked on an ad, which could very well contain malicious software. Those all seem harmless until someone’s actually used them against you.
Now imagine the dangers involved when you actually store truly confidential data on your PC and browsers. Sends shivers down your spine, doesn’t it?
In the case of a successful cyberattack of whatever type (virus, phishing, worms, etc.), there’s so much that is at stake. Businesses/legal persons will suffer from financial loss and damaged reputation, at the very least. Natural persons may be threatened or exploited, get their banking or medical information and even their identity stolen, etc. And that’s just the tip of the iceberg.
These are our biggest reasons for investing in Windows PC protection software:
Cyberthreats are constantly evolving to the point where built-in or free software won’t cut it anymore.
Those working remotely can have peace of mind knowing both personal and business data is completely secure.
Businesses using top security solutions ensure their customers trust them.
Data breaches are a pain in the you-know-what to handle. Fighting a cyberattack and going back to normal is a demanding process, and not to mention the stress it’ll cause. We’d rather prevent all that by using trustworthy security products!
It helps parents worry a little less about their children’s safety in the online world.
Added bonus: with most products, you get an ad-free browsing experience!
Obviously, there are a lot more reasons to get your PC secured. But we think you get it. So let’s cut to the chase and take a look at our 6 favorite protection solutions and the wonders they can do for you.
*Note that in this article we’re looking at products primarily suited for households and home offices, some for small businesses. No enterprise solutions will make the list today, but stay tuned for a future article on those.

One of the most interesting innovations that were released by Microsoft is the Surface Dial. This only goes to show that Microsoft is very competent not just in hardware but in overall innovation. Although it’s quite a piece of technology and as far as the consensus is concerned, it works pretty well, there are still some issues encountered by users. One of the particular issues experienced by users is that the Surface Dial fails to pair with every Windows 10 PC.
At a time of writing, it is still not clear what the cause of the problem really is. However, their possible solutions are provided in this post that might help you resolve the problem. Before you get started troubleshooting the problem, make sure that there are two AAA batteries fitted inside properly.
Option 1 – Check if your PC supports Bluetooth 4.0 LE
In case you don’t know, the Surface Dial only works with the Windows 10 Anniversary Update and later PCs that support Bluetooth 4.0 LE. Thus, you have to check if this is supported or not before you troubleshoot further.
Tap the Win + R keys on your keyboard to open the Run dialog box.
Next, type “devmgmt.msc” in the field and hit Enter to open the Device Manager.
From there, click on Bluetooth and select “Microsoft Bluetooth LE Enumerator” from the drop-down menu. However, if it is not there, then it simply means that your computer does not support this standard which is most likely why you were unable to pair with other Windows 10 PCs. On the other hand, if you were able to see it, then proceed to the next troubleshooting steps below.
Option 2 – Check if Bluetooth is on
The next thing you have to do is to check if Bluetooth is turned on. As you know, the Surface Dial connects to your computer using Bluetooth and so you need to check if it’s really on or not. Aside from that, you also have to verify pairing.
Tap the Win + I keys to open Windows Settings.
Next, select Devices from the menu and click on Bluetooth.
After that, make sure that the toggle switch for Bluetooth is turned on.
Now all you have to do is to verify pairing by pressing and holding the pairing button located beside the batteries and then wait for a few seconds until the Bluetooth light begins to flash.
Then go back to the Bluetooth section and click on Bluetooth or other devices.
From there, click on Add Bluetooth and select Surface Dial.
Follow the next instructions on the screen and click on Done once everything is completed. That should fix the problem.
Option 3 – Check if Surface Dial is connected to another PC
If you think that connecting a Bluetooth device to two different PCs at the same time is wise, then think again as it does not really bode well for the overall user experience. Thus, you need to disconnect the Surface Dial from the system that you are currently using.
On the other hand, if everything fails, then it’s most likely that the Bluetooth adapter is the one at fault. So you may have to get a third-party device that connects to your system via USB and then see if it works or not.
Msvcr71.dll is a dynamic library link that belongs to the Microsoft Visual C Runtime library. This file is a core Windows component used by numerous Windows applications like Microsoft Office version 2002 and 2003, Windows XP Media Center, and Windows XP Tablet PC Edition.
The Msvcr71.dll error commonly occurs when two applications share the same DLL file. When an application is deleted sometimes the Msvcr71.dll file is also deleted which is associated with two applications on your PC.
So, when you try to run the other application you come across the Msvcr71.dll error on your system.
The error also occurs when you try to install new programs or update the old program versions. This also misconfigures the DLL files and results in the Msvcr71.dll error.
Msvcr71.dll error messages are often displayed as the following:
“This application has failed to start because Msvcr71.dll was not found.”
“Mscvr71.dll is a bad windows image. Please check against your installation diskette.”
“Cannot find [PATH]msvcr71.dll"
"The file msvcr71.dll is missing."
Solution
Error Causes
Deletion of the Msvcr71.dll file is one cause for the Msvcr71.dll file error. However, this error can also be generated due to other causes such as:
Corrupt, missing, or misconfigured msvcr71.dll file
Damaged and missing .dll files
Corrupt runtime code library
Registry issues
Malware attack and viral infection
Msvcr71.dll error codes usually occur on Windows versions XP and Vista.
Further Information and Manual Repair
Here are different ways to resolve the Msvcr71.dll error code on your system:
1. Reinstall the program/application that is causing the Error to Pop up on the Screen
When this error code occurs due to misconfigured or missing the Msvcr71.dll file, try reinstalling the program/application that is causing the error to pop up on your screen.
When doing this, make sure there is no problem with the setup files from the disk you are performing the installation on your PC.
2. Check the Recycle Bin and Restore the Deleted File
If the Msvcr.dll file was deleted accidentally when you uninstalled a program on your PC, then the deleted file is most likely to be in the recycle bin. Check it and if you find it, restore it. Once the file is restored try running the application again.
3. Scan for Malware and Viruses
Install an antivirus and scan for malware and viruses. This software can also corrupt DLL files and runtime code libraries.
However, this is not the best solution especially if you already have too many programs installed on your PC. New program installations cause more complications and besides antivirus are infamous for slowing down PC speed.
4. Repair the Corrupt Registry
If the three methods discussed above don’t help you resolve the Msvcr71.dll error code on your system, then this means the cause of the error is more critical than you think.
The error is triggered by a corrupt and damaged registry. If this issue is not addressed timely, it can result in system failure and a fatal crash.
To resolve the error code Msvcr71.dll, you need to repair the corrupt registry. And the best way to go about it is to download Restoro
