Windows is stuck in Airplane Mode

As of late, a number of users reported experiencing a problem where their Windows 10 computers get stuck on Airplane mode for some unknown reason. According to the affected users, they were unable to turn off the Airplane mode which means that their computers are also not able to connect to the internet. One of the possible reasons why this kind of issue occurs is that there could be a bug with the airplane mode or it could also be the doing of faulty network drivers or physical switch that’s turned on, and so on. If you are one of the few users who experience the same issue, then read on as this post will guide you on what to do if your Windows 10 computer gets stuck on Airplane mode.

There are a couple of suggestions you can check out to resolve the problem. You can try to check the status of the Radio Management service, flush the DNS cache or you could turn off the airplane mode via system settings. You could also update the network drivers or turn off the physical switch for airplane mode or make some adjustments in the Windows Registry. For more details, refer to each one of the suggestions provided below.

Option 1 – Try to check the Radio Management Service status

  • First, tap the Win + R keys to open the Run dialog box and type “services.msc” in the field, and hit Enter to open the Windows Services Manager.
  • Next, look for the Radio Management service and select Properties.
  • From there, change its Startup type to Disabled and click on the Apply and OK buttons to save the changes made.
  • Once done, restart your computer and check if you can now turn off the airplane mode.

Option 2 – Flush the DNS cache

You could also try to flush the DNS cache to fix the “ERR_ICAN_NAME_COLLISION” error. All you have to do is open Command Prompt as an administrator and then execute each one of the following commands sequentially to flush the DNS cache:

  • ipconfig/release
  • ipconfig/renew
  • ipconfig/flushdns

Option 3 – Try turning off the airplane mode via System settings

If flushing the DNS cache did not help in fixing the problem, then you might want to turn off airplane mode via system settings.

  • In the Windows Search bar, type “airplane mode”.
  • From the search results that appear, click on Airplane mode.
  • After that, a window will appear where you have to turn off the toggle button for Airplane mode.

Option 4 – Try to update, rollback or reinstall the Network adapter drivers

The next thing you can do to resolve the problem is to update the Network Adapter drivers by following these steps:

  • Tap the Win + R keys to launch the Run window and then type in the “devmgmt.msc” command and hit Enter to open the Device Manager window.
  • Under the Device Manager, you will see a list of drivers. From there, look for the Network Adapters and expand them.
  • Look for the Broadcom Network Adapter and right-click on it, as well as other network adapters that have an exclamation icon, and update them all.
  • Restart your PC and see if it helped in fixing the problem.

Note: If updating the network drivers didn’t help in fixing the problem, you can also try to roll back the very same drivers from their previous versions and restart your Windows 10 PC. After that, the system itself will reinstall the drivers you just uninstalled. Alternatively, you can also download and install the drivers from the manufacturer’s website directly.

To reinstall the network adapter drivers, refer to these steps:

  • Open the Devices Manager from the Win X Menu.
  • Then locate the device drivers and right-click on them to open the Properties.
  • After that, switch to the Driver tab and click on the Uninstall Device button.
  • Follow the screen option to completely uninstall it.
  • Finally, restart your computer. It will just reinstall the device drivers automatically.

Option 5 – Try to turn off the physical switch for Airplane mode

If your computer has a physical switch to turn on or off the airplane mode, then you might want to check that switch if you have one. Chances are, it could be the reason why you’re unable to turn off Airplane mode on your computer.

Option 6 – Try to make some adjustments in the Registry

  • Tap the Win + R keys to launch the Run utility.
  • Then type “Regedit” in the field and hit Enter to open the Registry Editor.
  • Next, navigate to this registry path: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESystemCurrentControlSetControlClass
  • From there, edit the registry value of “RadioEnable” to “1”.
  • Exit the Registry Editor once done, and restart your computer.

BringMeSports Removal Malware Removal Tutorial

BringMeSports is a browser extension developed by Mindspark Inc. that lets you watch live sports streams, follow sports scores, and catch up on the latest news from the sports world. BringMeSports installs an extension into your browser that replaces your default home page with the MyWebSearch starting page, it also replaces your default search engine, shows additional ads, and while running, collects personal and web browsing data that is later sent back to be Sold / Forwarded to serve ads. While browsing the internet with this extension installed, you will see additional ads and sponsored links appear in your search results. It may even show pop-up ads. Several anti-virus scanners have marked this extension as a Browser Hijacker and are therefore not recommended to keep on your computer.

About Browser Hijackers

Browser hijacking is a type of unwanted software, commonly a web browser add-on or extension, which causes modifications in web browser’s settings. Browser hijacker malware is created for many different reasons. The idea would be to force users to visit particular websites that are trying to increase their website visitor traffic and produce higher ad income. Although it might appear naive, all browser hijackers are damaging and therefore always regarded as security risks. Browser hijackers can even allow other harmful programs without your knowledge to further damage your personal computer.

Signs of browser hijack

There are various symptoms of browser hijacking. Here are a few of them: 1. you notice unauthorized changes to your Internet browser’s homepage 2. you find re-directed to websites you never meant to visit 3. the default search engine is changed and the web browser security settings have been lowered without your knowledge 4. you’re finding new toolbars you have never seen before 5. you observe numerous ads pop up on the browsers or computer screen 6. your web browser gets slow, buggy crashes frequently 7. you are blocked to access those sites of computer security solution providers.

Precisely how browser hijacker infects computers

Browser hijackers attack computer systems through malicious email attachments, downloaded infected computer files, or by going to infected internet sites. They could also come from add-on programs, also called browser helper objects (BHO), web browser extensions, or toolbars. A browser hijacker could also be installed as a part of freeware, shareware, demoware, and pirated programs. Common examples of browser hijackers include CoolWebSearch, Conduit, Coupon Server, OneWebSearch, RocketTab, Snap.do, Delta Search, and Searchult.com. The existence of any browser hijacker malware on your computer might drastically diminish the web browsing experience, track your online activities that result in troublesome privacy concerns, create system stability problems and eventually cause your computer to slow down or to a practically unusable state.

How you can remove browser hijackers

Some hijackers could be removed by deleting the free software they were included with or by removing any extension you have recently added to your system. Having said that, many hijackers are quite tenacious and need specialized tools to eliminate them. And there’s no denying the very fact that the manual fixes and removal methods can certainly be a complicated job for a novice PC user. Also, there are plenty of risks associated with fiddling around with the system registry files.

What To Do If You Cannot Install Any Anti-Malware?

Every malware is bad and the consequences of the damage could vary based on the specific kind of malware. Certain malware variants alter internet browser settings by including a proxy server or modify the computer’s DNS configurations. In these instances, you will be unable to visit certain or all of the websites, and therefore unable to download or install the required security software to remove the infection. If you are reading this, odds are you’re stuck with a malware infection that is preventing you to download or install Safebytes Anti-Malware software on your system. Although this type of issue will be difficult to circumvent, there are a few actions you can take.

Install in Safe Mode

In Safe Mode, you could change Windows settings, uninstall or install some programs, and remove hard-to-delete malware. If the malicious software is set to load automatically when the computer starts, switching to this particular mode may prevent it from doing so. To enter into Safe Mode or Safe Mode with Networking, press F8 while the PC is starting up or run MSCONFIG and look for the “Safe Boot” options in the “Boot” tab. Once you are in Safe Mode, you can try to install your antivirus software application without the hindrance of the malware. After installation, run the malware scanner to get rid of most standard infections.

Utilize an alternate internet browser to download the anti-malware application

Web-based viruses could be environment-specific, aiming for a particular browser or attacking particular versions of the browser. The most effective way to overcome this issue is to select a web browser that is renowned for its security features. Firefox comprises built-in Malware and Phishing Protection to keep you safe online. Create a portable anti-malware for removing viruses Another option is to create a portable anti-malware program onto your USB stick. To run anti-virus using a USB flash drive, follow these simple steps: 1) Download the anti-malware on a virus-free PC. 2) Insert the USB drive on the same system. 3) Run the setup program by double-clicking the executable file of the downloaded software, which has a .exe file format. 4) Select the drive letter of the pen drive as the place when the wizard asks you exactly where you want to install the anti-malware. Do as instructed on the screen to complete the installation process. 5) Transfer the flash drive from the uninfected PC to the infected PC. 6) Run the Safebytes Anti-malware directly from the flash drive by double-clicking the icon. 7) Click the “Scan” button to run a full system scan and remove malware automatically.

To enjoy full control permissions here’s what you need to do, go to my computer and right-click the drive that you wish to install the Windows Installer Package to. Cooler Master's Orb X upcoming gaming chair
The newest piece of hardware for PC or console users is not really what anyone has expected and for sure not from a company like Cooler Master. orb x black and whiteI going to admit right here that I am a big fan of Cooler Master PC cases, I like them and they are always one of the things that I consider when building a new PC, overall I like their ideas and quality so personal for me it was quite a surprise to see that they are one that is making a new generation gaming chair. Now truth to be told Orb X is not your typical gaming chair as you can clearly see from the pictures. The chair itself will come in two colors: white or black and RGB lighting looks to be prominently featured throughout. orb x backThe chair itself is advertised as both meant and aimed for professional and gaming crowds but I believe the gaming crowd is in general more interested in this hardware piece. Hardware is enclosed in a fully motorized shuttle dome which aims to maximize your privacy, it supports a single 49inch display or three 27inch monitors along with surround speakers if you do not wish to use headphones. Orb x sideIt offers an adjustable headrest, lumbar support, and footrest so you can spend some time in it and be comfortable. Controls on the chair itself allow you to raise or lower the dome for easier getting in and out of it. Orb X also has a compartment in its backside, it folds out and has a sliding tray designed to hold your PC or console. Everything is enclosed so wiring is not the issue. Overall Orb X seems really like the computer chair of the future, Cooler Master expects to release the Orb X by December 2021, priced around $12,000-$14,000.

Disabling Security Questions in Windows
We’ve already covered disabling Security Questions If you want to disable Security Questions on your Windows 10 computer then you’ve come to the right place as this post will guide you in doing exactly that. In this post, you will be disabling Security Questions using a PowerShell script. This PowerShell script is called “Update-AllUsersQA”. It is designed to remove or disable the security questions and answers for local users on a Windows 10 computer. It lets administrators take control of the security questions in the environment and at the same time minimizes the risk that comes with them. If a user has a Microsoft account that’s configured to sign in to Windows 10 then he will not probably notice the Password Recovery questions. On the other hand, if he has a chosen local account for installing Windows, he will e prompted to create three security questions that can be used to reset the password and log into the Windows 10 account in case there is any misfortune. However, if you do not have much use for these Security Questions, then you can definitely have them disabled using a simple PowerShell script which you can download from GitHub. For more details on how to disable security questions in a Windows 10 machine, refer to the steps provided below. Step 1: You need to first download the .ps1 file from the GitHub repository. Step 2: Once you’ve downloaded the file, open the PowerShell window with admin privileges. Step 3: After that, navigate to the folder where you had saved the .ps1 file. Then copy the address of the folder location. Step 4: Next, change the directory by using the following command:
cd "folder location address"
Step 5: After that, enter the following script to disable the security questions:
Update-AllUsersQA
Once you’ve completed the steps above, the Security Questions should be disabled and you will be notified with a message stating that the feature has been disabled. On the other hand, if you have a change of heart and you want to enable the Security Questions back, here are some steps you need to take: Step 1: First, open the PowerShell window as admin. Step 2: Next, run the same script with one more parameter such as:
Update-AllUsersQA -answer SecretAnswer
Step 3: And that’s about it. Do not forget to replace the Secret Answer with your preferred one and once you’re done, it will be set as the answer for all the Security Questions. Step 4: Now all that’s left to do is go to the Settings app to change the answer to the questions and you should be good to go.
