In an earlier article today we have explored troubleshooting and how to repair copy-paste stopped responses, this time we are going to focus on a little feature of Windows 10 called Clipboard history. Clipboard history is a built-in feature in Windows 10 which lets you store multiple copies of different types and then selectively pasting them into another application. Let's say you have multiple copies of different text from different websites and you then paste everything or just some into a Word processor. Hello and welcome to our user account notifications in Windows 10 tutorial where we will dive a little more into how you can control notification and behavior settings for your or someone else's user account in your Windows 10. If you are annoyed with confirmation windows each time you start a new application or install one please keep reading and I am sure you will find just the right setting for you. User account options are a little hidden and not so obvious, well at least not in Windows 10 compared to previous Windows versions. Since we will not be able to find them under typical and standard settings we will need to do few tricks in order to get to them.

Opening control panel

First thing is to press ⊞ WINDOWS + R on your keyboard so the run dialog window pops up on your desktop. Once run dialog is shown type in it control panel as shown in the picture and press OK If you have followed the steps precisely, you should be now in the control panel of Windows 10. Click on the top-right view and choose large icons. The Control panel will switch to a grid-like view, in the current view go to the far-right and almost bottom icon where it says User Accounts and click on it.

User account settings

Once the user account opens click on the bottom link which says Change User Account Control settings. Please note that you will need to be logged in as an administrator or have administrator privileges in order to change this setting. Once you click on the link you will be presented with a User account control slider on the left and a brief explanation on the right Here in the picture, we see Windows default setting and an explanation of when and how he will notify you. If you wish to turn all notifications linked to programs changing computer or you making windows changes, click on the left slider and bring it all the way to the bottom where it says never notify me. If you prefer some notifications try to find which of the remaining 3 settings best suit your needs. Once you are done and satisfied with your choice click on OK.

Although the UWP platform is still new, it is working efficiently and significantly and it’s apparent that Microsoft is betting big on it. It helps developers in building applications for Windows 10 that are more modern and beautiful as well as responsive with the help of the .NET Core and XAML. However, all things considered, it still isn’t perfect and it could still encounter some errors. One of these errors is the Windows.UI.Xaml.Markup.XamlParseException UWP app error. This particular error can occur to any Universal Windows Platform or UWP application and according to security experts, it is due to some XAML parsing error. To fix this error, you can try to reinstall the faulty program or check its privacy settings. You can also run both the Program Compatibility and Windows Store Apps troubleshooters as well as run System Restore. For more information, check out the given options below.

Option 1 – Try to reinstall the faulty application

If you encounter this error in an application that is not a system-related one, then you can just uninstall it from the Windows 10 Settings app and then reinstall it again from the Microsoft Store. On the other hand, if it is a system application like the Camera or Calculator app, you can just uninstall and reinstall it using a PowerShell script.

Option 2 – Try to check the Privacy Settings of the concerned app

You might also want to check if all the Privacy Settings required for a certain application are configured properly as it could also cause issues like the Windows.UI.Xaml.Markup.XamlParseException UWP app error.

Option 3 – Try to run the Program Compatibility Troubleshooter

You might also want to run the Program Compatibility Troubleshooter. This built-in troubleshooter is available in the Windows Update & Security section. From there, select Troubleshoot. This will find a list of programs for you and since you have already downloaded the driver files, just click on Not Listed located at the top of the program list. After that, browse and select the driver files and then let the program do its job. In addition, you can try to run the Windows Store apps troubleshooter as it can also help you resolve the problem.

Option 4 – Run System Restore

If you have recently made changes in your computer’s settings, you could also run System Restore to fix the Windows.UI.Xaml.Markup.XamlParseException UWP app error. How? Refer to these steps:

• Tap the Win + R keys to open the Run dialog box.
• After that, type in “sysdm.cpl” in the field and tap Enter.
• Next, go to the System Protection tab then click the System Restore button. This will open a new window where you have to select your preferred System Restore point.
• After that, follow the on-screen instructions to finish the process and then restart your computer and check if the problem is fixed or not.

As you know, the Taskbar is one of the integral parts of the Windows desktop and it has been there since the release of Windows 1.0 and up until now with Windows 10. Since then, Microsoft has been modifying the Taskbar with a new design which makes it a home for new features such as Windows Search, Task View, and many more. However, there are times when you may that the Taskbar has disappeared or has stopped responding. If you experience either one of these scenarios, read on as this post will walk you through what you can do to resolve the problem. Here are some suggestions you can check out to resolve the issue with the Taskbar in Windows 10 but before you proceed, make sure that you create a System Restore point first. To do that, follow these steps:

• In the Start search, type in “create a restore point” and click the entry “System Properties”.
• Next, select the main system drive under Protection Settings and click on the Configure button.
• After that, select the “Turn on system protection” option and then click on the Apply and OK buttons to save the changes made.

Once you’ve created a System Restore point, refer to the troubleshooting steps below to fix the Taskbar in Windows 10.

Option 1 – Try to restart the Explorer process

This may sound really basic but it actually is a proven method to fix the Taskbar issue. So if anything gets stuck on the system tray or the Taskbar, you can always fix it by restarting the explorer.exe. How? Refer to these steps:

• First, right-click on the Taskbar and select the Task Manager.
• After opening the Task Manager, go to the Processes tab and look for the process named “Windows Explorer”.
• Then right-click on that process and select the option to Restart. Afterward, you should now be seeing the Taskbar as this will reload the whole Windows Shell.

Option 2 – Unhide the Taskbar using the Settings app

It is possible that the Taskbar could be hidden so you can try to unhide it using the Settings app.

• Tap the Win + I keys to open Settings.
• After that, go to Personalization > Taskbar.
• From the main section, make sure that the “Automatically hide the task in desktop mode” is toggled to the off position. However, if it’s already off then proceed to the next options below.

Option 3 – Make sure that you are not in Tablet Mode

Since Windows 10 is designed to work on both desktop and mobile devices, it could be that your computer has slipped into Tablet Mode which explains why you’re not seeing the Taskbar. To check if your computer is really in Tablet Mode, follow these steps:

• Go to the Start menu and select Settings.
• Next, select the System setting and from the left pane select the Tablet Mode.
• From there, make sure that the buttons next to the options given below are set to the off position:
  • Hide app icons on the taskbar in tablet mode
  • Automatically hide the taskbar in tablet mode

Option 4 – Try to check the Projection Settings

You might also want to check the Projection settings as it could be the reason why Taskbar has disappeared.

• Tap the Win + P keys to open the Windows Projection settings.
• Next, make sure that you select the “PC screen only” option and then check if your Taskbar has now appeared or not.

In recent times, some Windows 10 users have seen an error code BCM20702A0, when using Bluetooth and they are concerned as to what it is all about. We can say for certain that it has something to do with your Bluetooth driver. The error message in question is:

The drivers for this device are not installed. There are no compatible drivers for this device.

The problem here tends to no longer allow specific Bluetooth components to properly communicate with your Windows 10 operating system. It also affects laptops that do not have native Bluetooth support; therefore, the manufacturer installed a dongle on the inside to deliver the service. This is not the best way to do things because native support is always better. On the other hand, maybe you’re using a Broadcom USB Bluetooth dongle that is acting up, and as such, the error is showing. Below are solutions provided for this particular error and how to eliminate it.

1. Run the Bluetooth Troubleshooter

   Press ⊞ WINDOWS to open the menu and select settings In settings choose Update & Security Go to troubleshoot and on the right panel click on additional troubleshooters Click on Bluetooth Select Run the troubleshooter, then sit back and allow the tool to do its thing. Once you’ve completed the task, click on Apply this fix if any repairs are needed Reboot your computer

2. Install Broadcom driver from official website

   Windows drivers for Broadcom Bluetooth devices are no longer posted on their website. They should be available through Microsoft’s Windows Update service. If drivers were not downloaded automatically by Windows Update, use Device Manager to refresh the driver from Windows Update. However, the Broadcom Bluetooth drivers seem to be available here on the Lenovo website. To fix the BCM20702A0 driver error, you may download and install them. After downloading it, right-click on the downloaded item, and select Run as administrator. After installation, restart your computer, then check again if it works.

3. Remove all Bluetooth drivers and USB controllers

   If previous solutions did not work, go to device manager and remove all Bluetooth devices along with all USB controllers. Reboot your computer and Windows will automatically reinstall and set all devices.

‘R6025 pure virtual function call’ is a runtime error that occurs suddenly on the screen and disrupts the program being run prior to it. This error display indicates that the program has been corrupted. R6025 runtime error usually occurs with the Visual C++ framework.

Solution

Error Causes

This error occurs when the C++ program crashes which is usually because of the malfunctioning or missing of the device driver or incomplete device driver files. It happens because your application indirectly calls a pure virtual member function in a context where a call to the function is invalid. Most of the time, the compiler detects it and reports it as an error when building the application. R6025 error is usually detected at run time.

Further Information and Manual Repair

To fix the R6025 pure virtual function call error, you need to find the call to the pure virtual function. After you find the call, you need to rewrite the code so that it is not called again. There are 2 ways to do this:

Alternative 1

One way to fix the R6025 pure virtual function call is to replace the function with an implementation that calls the Windows API function DebugBreak. The DebugBreak causes a hard-coded breakpoint. Once the code stops running at this breakpoint, it is easy for you to view the call stack. By viewing the call stack you can identify the place where the function was actually called.

Alternative 2

Another quick way to find a call to a pure virtual function to fix the R6025 error is to set a breakpoint on the _purecall function that is usually found in PureVirt.c. By breaking this function you can trace the problem occurring and rewrite the call to ensure the error does not occur and the program you are trying to develop on the Visual C++ framework is easily developed. If R6025 Error is related to Windows Registry Problem Then here’s how you can fix the problem: To fix the runtime error R6025, run registry cleaner software to scan and fix all errors.  This alternative is suitable if the R6025 error is related to the Windows registry problem and where the error has occurred due to corrupted or malicious registry entries. You can download the registry cleaner repair tool for free. Run it to scan errors and then click the fix error button to repair the problem immediately.

When you upgrade your Windows 7 or Windows 8.1 system to Windows 10, you’ll undergo a phase called Out of Box Experience, or simply OOBE. This phase is intended to allow users to customize their Windows 10 experience, which includes defining personal settings, creating user accounts, and more. Some users reported having issues when creating their user account during the Out of Box Experience (OOBE) on Windows 10 upgrade. Unfortunately, there’s no known cause for this error. However, some users reported that this occurs when:

• There’s a problem with the ISO or CD used to install Windows 10
• There’s hardware malfunctioning on the computer

Further Information and Manual Repair

Your Windows 10 upgrade will not be successful if you’re not able to create a user account or finish the Out of the Box (OOBE) phase of the installation. Here are some methods that will help you fix this manually.

Method 1 – Wait and retry

Some users reported that waiting for about an hour and retrying the process again will solve this problem. It’s also recommended that you keep your computer in a ventilated place while you wait to retry the process.

Method 2 – Load default user manually

This method has 2 requirements in order to work.

1. You need to be upgrading from a previous Windows version, and
2. Your Windows was originally configured to automatically boot to desktop

If you meet these two requirements, you can solve the error by following the steps below:

1. Hold CTRL+ESC keys. Windows should load the default user after doing this step.
2. Press the Windows key + X. Then, click the Computer Management icon
3. Choose “Local Users and Groups”
4. Double click on Users
5. Right-click on the right pane, and then choose “New User”
6. Create a new user account and password

Method 3 – Power down your laptop

This method only applies if you’re a laptop user.

1. Power down your laptop
2. Remove the battery of your laptop
3. Wait for about 10 minutes
4. Connect your laptop using direct current
5. Turn on your laptop again
6. Create a new user account and log in

Method 4 – Create a local account if you’re trying to set up a Microsoft account

Instead of connecting to a Microsoft Account after the set-up, you might want to try creating a local account. To do this, follow the steps below:

1. Power down your computer if you are to set up a Local Account.
2. Disconnect your computer from the Internet, either Wired or Wireless
3. Unplug your computer, and wait for about 10 minutes.
4. Reconnect your computer and start Windows. Do NOT connect to the Internet and make sure you’re disconnected to any devices you don’t need.
5. Try creating a user account again

 If the steps above don’t work, you might want to try Startup repair.

Method 5 – Boot your computer from Windows 10 media

In order to do this step, you need to have official Windows 10 ISO files.

1. Go to the “Install Now” screen
2. Choose Repair your computer
3. Click Advanced Options
4. Click Safe Mode

After doing the steps above, there’s a chance you get an error message that says “installation cannot be completed in safe mode”. When you see this, just press Shift+F10. This will execute and open the command prompt of your computer.

 From the command prompt, you can try and create a new user account.

 For example, net user Username Password /add

 The username here should be replaced with the account name you want to add, and the Password here should be replaced with the password you want to use for the account.

 After replacing the username and password on the text, press the Enter button on your keyboard. You’ll know if the command is successful once you see the message, “The command completed successfully.”

You can now close the command prompt. Restart your computer and try to log in using the account you just created.

Method 6 – Use a powerful automated software

If all the above methods still don’t work, it might be best to try automated software to help you fix this problem.
