Option 2 – Try troubleshooting the problem in a Clean Boot State

To identify which program is causing the problem, you need to put your computer in a Clean Boot State. To do so, follow the steps below.

• Log onto your PC as an administrator.
• Type in MSConfig in the Start Search to open the System Configuration utility.
• From there, go to the General tab and click “Selective startup”.
• Clear the “Load Startup items” checkbox and make sure that the “Load System Services” and “Use Original boot configuration” options are checked.
• Next, click the Services tab and select the “Hide All Microsoft Services” check box.
• Click Disable all.
• Click on Apply/OK and restart your PC. (This will put your PC into a Clean Boot State. And to configure Windows to use the usual startup, just simply undo the changes.)
• From there, start to isolate the problem by checking which one of the programs you installed recently is the root cause of the problem.

Option 3 – Try changing the drag height and width

The next thing you can do to resolve the issue is to try changing drag height and width by following these steps:

• Tap the Win + R keys to launch the Run utility and type “Regedit” in the field and then tap Enter to open the Registry Editor.
• Next, navigate to this registry key: HKEY_CURRENT_USERControl PanelDesktop
• From there, choose to modify both the “DragHeight” and “DragWidth” located on the right pane.
• After that, change the value to a very high number. Note that these values are nothing but pixel size to drag and drop folders or files.

Option 4 – Try disabling the User Account Control or UAC via Registry Editor

• Tap the Win + R keys to launch the Run utility and type “Regedit” in the field and then tap Enter to open the Registry Editor.
• After that, navigate to this registry key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREMicrosoftWindowsCurrentVersionPoliciesSystem
• From this path, modify the value of “EnableLUA” from 1 to 0. This should disable the UAC in your Windows 10 computer.

In any Windows operating system, Safe Mode is definitely a special environment used for troubleshooting issues as well as system diagnostics. • After opening Command Prompt, type the bcdedit /copy {current} /d "Safe Mode" command and hit Enter.
• Once the command is executed, you will see a message saying, “The entry was successfully copied to {74a93982-9486-11e8-99df-00270e0f0e59}”. This message indicates that Safe Mode was successfully added in the Boot menu option which means that you can now directly access it and boot your Windows 10 PC in that mode.

To check if Safe Mode was really added in the Boot menu options, you have to open Msconfig. From there, you will also have to use it to configure the boot settings for the Safe Mode entry. To do so, follow the given steps below.

• Tap the Win + R keys to open the Run dialog box.
• Then type “MSConfig” in the field and click OK.
• Next, go to the Boot tab and find the Safe Mode option which should be located under the default Windows 10 mode.
• Afterward, you need to select the Sage boot option and Minimal. You also have to select the Make all boot settings permanent option.
• Make sure to increase the timeout to at least 10 seconds which will ensure that the menu does not disappear right away.

Note: In similar steps as above, you can add the Safe Mode with Networking and Safe Mode with Command Prompt entries as well. Just simply select “Network” for Safe Mode with Networking and “Alternate Shell” for Safe Mode with Command Prompt. Once you’re done adding any of them, click on Apply and restart your PC. In addition, if you wish to remove the entry, you just have to open MSConfig again and select the entry you want to remove, and then click Delete.

It seems that Riot has decided to enforce Windows 11 TPM 2.0 feature into Valorant running on Windows 11 and there is a rumor that it will be de facto standard and that it will move to Valorant in general no matter on which system it runs. • After that, go to the Microsoft Download Center and look for that update using its KB number and once you find it, download and then install it manually.

Note: You can also use the Microsoft Update Catalog, a service from Microsoft that provides a list of software updates that can be distributed over a corporate network. With the help of this service, it can be easier for you to find Microsoft software updates, drivers as well as fixes.

Option 4 – Try to restart the Background Intelligent Transfer Service

The Background Intelligent Transfer Service or BITS is a part of the Windows Update service and is the one that manages the background download of Windows Update, as well as scans for new updates and so on. And if Windows Update is experiencing some problems, you can try restarting BITS but make sure that you have admin privileges to do so.

• Tap the Win + R keys to open the Run dialog box.
• Next, type “services.msc” in the field and hit Enter to open Windows Services.

The fltmgr.sys file or the Filter Manager is the one that’s responsible in making sure that all the file stored in a computer’s hard drive stays on their respective locations and is located in C:/Windows/System32/drivers. Now when you encounter a Blue Screen of Death or BSOD error saying, “Your PC ran into a problem that it couldn’t handle, and now it needs to restart. SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION”. This kind of Stop error is due to an error with the driver that’s responsible for enabling the communication between the hardware and the computer. It indicates that this driver allows direct access to the internal hardware from the CPU itself. What’s worse about the SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION BSOD error is that there are times when you won’t be able to log in to your computer even after it reboots. However, you need not worry as this post will guide you into fixing this BSOD error. All you have to do is follow the given options below carefully and that before you proceed make sure that you create a System Restore point just in case something goes wrong.

Option 1 – Run the Windows Update

Obviously, since the fltmgr.sys file is a system file from Microsoft, you can try running the Windows Update and see if it fixes the problem or not.

Option 2 – Run the System File Checker

The System File Checker, also known as the SFC scan, is a built-in utility in Windows that can be found in the C:/Windows/System32 folder. This tool allows you to scan and restore any corrupted system files in Windows that might be causing the SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION BSOD error. To use this tool, follow the steps below.

• Tap Win + R to launch Run.
• Type in cmd in the field and tap Enter.
• After opening Command Prompt, type in sfc /scannow

The command will start a system scan which will take a few whiles before it finishes. Once it’s done, you could get the following results:

1. Windows Resource Protection did not find any integrity violations.
2. Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files and successfully repaired them.
3. Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files but was unable to fix some of them.

• Restart your computer and then check if it has fixed the error or not.

Option 3 – Run the Blue Screen Troubleshooter

The Blue Screen troubleshooter is a built-in tool in Windows 10 that can be found on the Settings Troubleshooters page. To use it, refer to these steps:

• Tap the Win + I keys to open the Settings panel.
• Then go to Update & Security > Troubleshoot.
• From there, look for the option called “Blue Screen” on your right-hand side and then click the “Run the troubleshooter” button to run the Blue Screen Troubleshooter and then follow the next on-screen options. Note that you might have to boot your PC into Safe Mode.

Option 4 – Check your hardware for any physical issues

There are times when faulty hardware can result in serious problems in the system such as the SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION Blue Screen error. Thus, it is highly recommended that you check the internal components of your CPU to find out if there are any problems. And if there is any physical damage, you need to bring that to a technician to get it fixed or have it replaced.

Option 5 – Run the CHKDSK utility

You can also run the Chkdsk utility to resolve the BSOD error. The Chkdsk utility is the one that repairs hard drive errors that might be causing the problem.

• Open Command Prompt with admin privileges.
• After opening Command Prompt, execute the commands listed below, and don’t forget to hit Enter right after you type in each one of them and if you have installed Windows to some different directory, you must replace “C” with the name of the drive you’ve installed Windows with.
• chkdsk C: /r /x
• chkdsk C: /f

In previous versions of Windows changing the system, the font was a pretty straightforward process, but it seems Microsoft did not want this feature to keep for whatever reason and there is no option as of the time of the writing of this article to do it in standard options in Windows 10. But do not worry, you are still able to customize your Windows and choose which font would you like to see inside it in all of its dialogs. Setting new font

Where in "Segoe UI"="NEW_FONT" instead of NEW_FONT you need to write the exact name of the font that you wish to use as a system font. Once you have replaced the default system font with your desired one, go to File and save as, from file type drop-down menu, choose all files and save this file as .REG type giving it whatever name you wish. When the file is saved, close notepad, right-click on the saved file and choose the merge option. Confirm with YES and click on OK. Reboot your system and your Windows will now use the font of your choice as its default system font.

Restoring default font

If you wish to return the old default system font as it was, follow the same steps but in your notepad paste this code:

• Tap the Win + X keys and click on the “Command Prompt (Admin)” option.

  • Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /ScanHealth
  • Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth

Option 2 – Run the System File Checker Scan

Aside from the DISM tool, you can also run a System File Checker scan. It is another built-in command utility that helps in restoring corrupted files as well as missing files. • Tap Win + R to launch Run.
• Type in cmd in the field and tap Enter.

Option 4 – Reset your computer

• Tap the Win key or click on the Start button located in the Taskbar.

Note: Once you have access to the Advanced Startup options, you have to go to the setting which allows you to Reset your Windows 10 PC. All you have to do is select Troubleshoot > Reset this PC to reach the following screen

• Afterward, select either the “Keep my files” option and then proceed to the next on-screen instructions that follow to reset your Windows 10 computer without losing your files.
