Browsing the internet doesn’t always go smoothly, you might encounter ads, pop-ups, viruses, malware, and even errors. In this post, we’ll walk you through how you can fix the 502 Bad Gateway error that you might encounter in browsing the internet. This kind of error suggests the server which is the one that’s acting as a gateway to facilitate in taking your request to the server and bring some response back has received an invalid response or even no response at all. It could be that the connection is broken or that there is an issue on the server-side that returns an invalid response. Even though the 502 Bad Gateway error is a server-related error, there are still a few things you can try that might help resolve it, if tapping the Ctrl + F5 keys does not resolve the problem.
Keep in mind that it doesn’t matter what website you open as this error can appear on any website. To resolve the problem, you need to follow the options prepared below.
Option 1 – Check the network cable connections and restart your router
As with other connection problems, this is the most basic thing to do before you try other troubleshooting options because the root cause of the problem might be as simple as a cable not connected properly or a router that just needs to be restarted. Thus, checking the network cable connection to see if there is anything out of order can help as well as restarting your router.
Option 2 – Reset Winsock, TCP/IP & Flush DNS
Resetting Winsock, TCP/IP, and flushing DNS might help you resolve the issue. To do so, follow these steps:
Right-click on the Start button and click on Command Prompt (administrator) so you can pull up an elevated Command Prompt.
After that, execute each one of the commands listed below. And after you typed in one after the other, you have to hit Enter.
netsh winsock reset – type in this command to reset Winsock
netsh int ip reset resettcpip.txt – type in this command to reset TCP/IP
ipconfig /flushdns– type in this command to flush the DNS cache
Next, restart your PC and check if the problem’s fixed.
Option 3 – Change the DNS
Changing the DNS server for your network can also help you fix the 502 Bad Gateway error. You can use a public DNS like the Google Public DNS, Open DNS, Yandex DNS, Comodo Secure DNS, and many more. All you have to do is to override the default DNS settings on your PC so that you can specify which DNS server is used as well as which IP address should be used for a specific domain.
Option 4 – Try updating the Network Adapter Driver
Follow the steps below to update your Network Adapter Driver:
Tap the Win + R keys to launch the Run window and then type in the “devmgmt.msc” command and hit Enter to open the Device Manager window.
From there, expand the list of all the network drives and update each one of them.
Note: If updating the network drivers didn’t help in fixing the problem, you can also try to uninstall the very same drivers and restart your Windows 10 PC. After that, the system itself will reinstall the drivers you just uninstalled. Alternatively, you can also download and install the drivers from the manufacturer’s website directly.
Option 5 – Try a Network Reset
When all else fails, you might have to consider resetting your entire network settings. Simply follow the steps below to do so.
Click on the Start button and then click on the gear-like icon for Settings to open it.
Next, select Network and Internet.
Then scroll down and look for “Network Reset” – click on it and then click on the Reset now button.
As you know, the internet has changed the world immensely. Nowadays, JavaScript is pushing the modern web ahead. One of the things that make these experiences with the internet seamless and with less clutter is redirection. It is often used on web pages and there are times when a user is prompted about them and most of the time, we barely notice them. However, there are also instances when things can go wrong with redirects as they could become a loop that could mess things up. And since the browser takes a lot of system resources, redirection can result in a poor user experience. That’s why in this post, you will be guided on how you can stop these automatic redirects on browsers such as Microsoft Edge, Google Chrome, and Mozilla Firefox, on your Windows 10 computer.
To get started, refer to each one of the options provided below to stop automatic redirects in Microsoft Edge, Google Chrome, and Mozilla Firefox.
Option 1 – Configure the browsers to stop pop-ups and deceptive contents
There are a lot of browsers with built-in settings that allow users to stop pop-ups and deceptive content. To configure these settings, refer to these steps:
Microsoft Edge:
Click on the three horizontal dots icon or the menu button.
Next, click on Settings and select Privacy & Security from the left side navigation.
After that, scroll down on the right-side panel and look for Block pop-ups and Windows Defender SmartScreen and then turn their toggle buttons to On.
Google Chrome:
Open Google Chrome and click on the three vertical dots icon for the menu located in the top right corner of the browser.
Next, click on Settings and scroll down until you see the Advanced option. Click on it to open the Advanced Settings.
Now scroll down until you reach the Privacy and Security section and look for the Safe browsing option and turn its toggle button to On.
Mozilla Firefox
Open Mozilla and click on the three horizontal lines icon for the menu button located in the top right corner of the browser and click on Options.
Next, go to the Settings section and click the Privacy & Security tab and scroll down and then click on Permissions.
From there, make sure that the Block pop-up windows checkbox is checked.
Finally, scroll down until you reach the Security section and make sure that the checkbox for the Block dangerous and deceptive content is checked.
Option 2 – Try to reset Winsock, TCP/IP & Flush DNS
To stop redirects, you can also reset Winsock and the TCP/IP as well as flush the DNS cache. To do so, follow these steps:
Right-click on the Start button and click on Command Prompt (administrator) so you can pull up an elevated Command Prompt.
After that, execute each one of the commands listed below. And after you typed in one after the other, you have to hit Enter.
netsh winsock reset – type in this command to reset Winsock
netsh int ip reset resettcpip.txt – type in this command to reset TCP/IP
ipconfig /flushdns – type in this command to flush the DNS cache
Next, restart your PC and check if the problem’s fixed.
Option 3 – Edit your Hosts File
Tap the Win + R keys to open then type in %WinDir% and then click OK.

If your VPN software blocks and disconnects the Internet or Wi-Fi connection as soon as it is connected, read on as this post will give you fixes to resolve the problem. This kind of issue is odd but not unheard of. Many users use VPN for privacy and security but if it causes internet connection problems, you have to pin down the root cause of the problem and fix it in order to continue browsing the internet with privacy and security.
Here are some suggestions you need to check out to resolve the issue between your VPN software and network.
Option 1 – Try installing the latest version of the TAP adapter
Since all VPN software uses a TAP adapter which is mostly from OpenVPN, you might want to download and install the TAP adapter driver to resolve the problem.
Option 2 – Run the Network Adapter Troubleshooter
Open the Search bar on your computer and type in “troubleshoot” to open the Troubleshoot settings.
Next, scroll down and select the “Network Adapter” option from the right pane.
Then click on the Run Troubleshooter” button.
After that, your computer will check for any possible errors and will pinpoint the root cause of the problem if possible.
Option 3 – Configure the client computer to use the default gateway
This kind of connection problem can occur when you configure the VPN connection as the default gateway on the remote network. In such a case, the VPN settings override the default gateway settings (TCP/IP settings). Thus, you have to configure the client computers in order to use the default gateway setting on your local network for internet traffic as well as a static route on the remote network for VPN-based traffic.
Option 4 – Try to use the Google Public DNS
You might want to change your DNS to Google Public DNS as it could help you resolve the internet connection problem caused by your VPN. To do so, follow the steps below.
The first thing you have to do is right-click on the network icon in the Taskbar and select Network and Sharing Center.
Next, click on the “Change Adapter Settings” option.
After that, search for the network connection that you are using to connect to the internet. Note that the option might be “Wireless Connection” or “Local Area Connection”.
Right-click on your network connection and click on Properties.
Then select the new window to choose the “Internet Protocol 4 (TCP/IPv4)” option.
After that, click on the Properties button and click the checkbox in the new window for the option “Use the following DNS server addresses”.
Type in “8.8.8.8” and “8.8.4.4” and click OK and exit.
Option 5 – Try checking the settings of your VPN software
If your VPN software has a built-in “kill switch” it prevents any internet usage every time there is a problem in connecting with the VPN server which explains why your internet connection is disconnected when your VPN software is connected.
In addition, you could also try to change your VPN software’s protocol since all VPNs support multiple protocols. It could be that the protocol your VPN uses is blocked so try changing to another protocol and see if it fixes the problem.
Option 6 – Update the Network Adapter drivers
You might also want to update the Network Adapter drivers by following these steps:
Tap the Win + R keys to launch the Run window and then type in the “devmgmt.msc” command and hit Enter to open the Device Manager window.
Under the Device Manager, you will see a list of drivers. From there, look for the Network Adapters and expand it.
Then right-click on each one of the Network drivers and update them all.
Restart your PC and see if it helped in fixing the BSOD error.
Note: If updating the network drivers didn’t help in fixing the “Windows could not find a driver for your network adapter” error, you can also try to uninstall the very same drivers and restart your Windows 10 PC. After that, the system itself will reinstall the drivers you just uninstalled. Alternatively, you can also download and install the drivers from the manufacturer’s website directly.
To reinstall the network adapter driver, refer to these steps:
Open the Devices Manager from the Win X Menu.
Then locate the device drivers and right-click on them to open the Properties.
After that, switch to the Driver tab and click on the Uninstall Device button.
Follow the screen option to completely uninstall it.
Finally, restart your computer. It will just reinstall the device drivers automatically.
Hello and welcome everyone. In today's article, you will learn how to lock folder and content in it.
Please be aware of few things:
The method is shown here works, but you need to be careful and follow step by step or you will damage your files permanently,
If you forget your password, you can not access your files anymore
Your files altho protected can still show up in recent files of some applications
All of that being said, let us start with locking the local folder on the computer with the password.
Go to the folder where you have files that you would like to hide and lock with a password. Enter the folder and create the new text file inside it. Skip the name for now and go inside it. Copy and paste the following code inside the file:
cls@ECHO OFFtitle Folder Lockerif EXIST "Control Panel.{21EC2020-3AEA-1069-A2DD-08002B30309D}" goto UNLOCKif NOT EXIST Locker goto MDLOCKER:CONFIRMecho Are you sure u want to Lock the folder(Y/N)set/p "cho=>"if %cho%==Y goto LOCKif %cho%==y goto LOCKif %cho%==n goto ENDif %cho%==N goto ENDecho Invalid choice.goto CONFIRM:LOCKren Locker "Control Panel.{21EC2020-3AEA-1069-A2DD-08002B30309D}"attrib +h +s "Control Panel.{21EC2020-3AEA-1069-A2DD-08002B30309D}"echo Folder lockedgoto End:UNLOCKecho Enter password to Unlock folderset/p "pass=>"if NOT %pass%==Your-Password-Here goto FAILattrib -h -s "Control Panel.{21EC2020-3AEA-1069-A2DD-08002B30309D}"ren "Control Panel.{21EC2020-3AEA-1069-A2DD-08002B30309D}" Lockerecho Folder Unlocked successfullygoto End:FAILecho Invalid passwordgoto end:MDLOCKERmd Lockerecho Locker created successfullygoto End:End
Now locate this line of code in the document: if NOT %pass%==Your-Password-Here goto FAIL and replace Your-Password-Here with your password.

Bandoo application, specifically product version 5.0.2.4762, is a bundled program. What does this mean? Simply, Bandoo, upon installation, installs additional programs, extensions, and add-ons to a computer and computer’s browser, without the knowledge of the user. This version of Bandoo concentrates on providing features for entertainment and also functionality/tools for backing up your computer files. Once executed, the file installs the iLivid Download Manager Software.
Additional tools installed within the bundle include a Movie Toolbar and the thriving search engine ‘Ask.com.’
Technical details about Bandoo include:
Digital Signature/Publisher: Bandoo Media, Inc.
Product Version: 5.0.2.4762
Entry Point: 0x000038AF
Assessment of Bandoo Potentially Unwanted Program
Interestingly, before the installation of Bandoo product version 5.0.2.4762 was complete, Spyhunter detected that the software was a PUP. After the installation was complete, product version 5.0.2.4762 of Bandoo added add-ons and extensions to both Internet Explorer and Chrome Browsers (these were the only 2 browsers used within the assessment). These appeared in the form of a Movie toolbar, providing quick access to movie trailers, reviews, ratings, and other video functionality, and ‘Ask’ (Ask.com) search engine.
Areas of Infiltration by Bandoo
Bandoo product version 5.0.2.4762 infiltrated several areas of the computer system. After installation, folders were neatly placed as files within all programs. Within “All Programs” there were 3 newly added programs. These included:
iLivid
Movies Search App for Chrome
Movies Search App for Internet Explorer
The iLiVid application seems to be the main offer while the others, namely Movies App for Internet Explorer by Ask was featured as promotions or advertisements. Additionally, just below the 'END USER LICENSE AGREEMENT AND PRIVACY POLICY' a request was made that the user set Ask.com as both their homepage, new tab, and default search engine. This is just another well-concocted plan to get Internet users onto the 'Ask.com' search engine.
Along with the 3 programs installed as a bundle, a new folder was found within the computer's local drive. This program was termed OLBPre.
What is OLBPre?
OLBPre.exe is reputed as dangerous adware that weakens the security settings of a computer system. It's also covertly used for dropping files on a targeted computer, often without the user's consent or knowledge.
Manual Steps for Removal of Movie Search Apps
I found this removal pretty simple. Depending on your Operating System, there will be slight discrepancies in the manual removal steps. Using the Windows 8 (8.1) OS on your computer:
Step 1: from your desktop, right-click on the ‘Start Button’. A menu box will then appear.
Step 2: from the menu box, click ‘Search’.
Step 3: enter “Programs and Features” within the Input Box.
Step 4: locate the installed apps. You should be able to see “Movies Search App for Chrome” & “Movies Search App for Internet Explorer”.
Step 5: right-click on the names of the Apps (the ones you want to remove) when you’ve located them.
Note: you will have to remove the apps one after the other.
Step 6: after right-clicking the app, click the uninstall option (probably the only option available anyway).
Note: If a box appears asking If you wish to ‘block’ or ‘allow’, select the allow option. That’s just the Publisher’s way to annoy you out of uninstalling the app.
Step 7: follow instructions until the app is fully removed.
Step 8: Repeat steps for the other app.
Since Bandoo also changed your search engine, you’ll have to reset that manually for Internet Explorer and Chrome. Follow the steps below:
Step 1: Open your Internet Explorer browser.
Step 2: Click the tool option located in the top right-hand corner of the page.
Step 3: Click the “Internet Options” option.
Step 4: Under the “General” tab, you’ll be able to see approximately 3 buttons. Click the button labeled ‘Use Default”.
Step 5: At the bottom right-hand corner of the pop-up menu, select the “Apply” button and “OK”. That should do the trick.
Removal for Chrome Extension
This removal is simple.
Step 1: Open your Chrome browser.
Step 2: A pop-up box will be visible.
Step 3: Click the “Remove from Chrome” option.
After removing the extensions/add-ons, perform another scan with Spyhunter. You’ll pick up a few threats. The second scan should clear up everything.
To completely remove Bandoo from your computer, click here to download and install Spyhunter.

Windows and Devices chief Panos Panay has revealed new focus sessions feature that will be in Windows 11 on his Twitter account today. He himself is referring to it as a game-changer especially with Spotify integration.
So what is a focus session?
From the video clip provided on Twitter, we can see that focus session users will be able to choose a specific task from the previously made task list, choose songs that will play in the background while the task is active, and set a timer for the chosen task with breaks.
Maybe the best comparison and explanation would be a desktop google calendar task with music, basically, that’s it. A neat and good organizer inside your Windows 11 operating system. I think that this is generally a good idea and for sure it will find its audience.
Windows 10 has displayed one of the most efficient and user-friendly interfaces. However there have been many issues on the backend of this commonly praised operating system: For example, Windows Update is still a wonky and error-laded system application. One example of this error is Windows Update Error 0x80073712 which stands in the way of users just wanting to keep their PCs updated hassle-free.
The error code 0x80073712 signifies that a file needed by Windows Update to function is either damaged, missing, or corrupted. However, this does not mean that your Windows version will forever stay as-is with no mode to update it. Windows Update Error 0x80073712 is perfectly fixable with the set of provided steps below and some of Windows’ built-in troubleshooting steps:
Solution 1: Open Windows Update Troubleshooter
Open the Windows Update Troubleshooter by pressing the Windows and S keys simultaneously.
Enter the word “Troubleshoot” in the search box and select the Troubleshoot result
On the new window, select “Windows Update” to troubleshoot.
Run the troubleshooter, then open Windows Update and try to install the update again.
Solution 2: Run the DISM tool
Open the command prompt by pressing Windows and S keys simultaneously
Enter “cmd” in the search box. Right Click command prompt among the results and select “Run as administrator”
In the Command Prompt window type the following and press the Enter key after every command
To close the Administrator: Command prompt window, type Exit, and then press Enter.
Run Windows Update again.
Solution 3: Rename the Software Distribution folder
Open the command prompt as previously mentioned
Input the following command pressing Enter after every linenet stop wuauservnet stop cryptSvcnet stop bitsnet stop msiserverrename c:/windows/SoftwareDistribution/softwaredistribution.oldnet start wuauservnet start cryptSvcnet start bitsnet start msiserverexit
Restart the PC and run the updater if it works again.
Solution 4: Restart Windows Update Services
Press the Windows logo key and R together to open Run -> Input services.msc -> and press Enter
Search for the Windows Update service -> Check its status
If it is not indicated, right-click on the service and select Start to force start your Windows Update
If you see an error, locate the Startup Type option and set it to Automatic
Now you should reboot your computer and see if your Windows Update is OK
Solution 5: Fix Registry Issues
If after all the aforementioned solutions, you still experience problems with Windows Update, the problem may lie in the registry that is either damaged or corrupted. You may choose to do manual editing of your Windows registry by opening your Windows registry editor. But doing so is risky as one wrong letter may do incalculable damage to your system. To do so safely for more inexperienced users we recommend using a third-party registry cleaner/tools, many of which can be found online.

Started as an internal network and has slowly expanded since 1960 internet has taken over the world. In the beginning, it was a means of information change but in the modern age you can run applications and virtual machines over the internet, you can stream video and audio, and you can communicate in real-time with someone on the other side of Earth.
With the internet growing so fast in such a small amount of time it is only logical and wise to take a step back and take a good look at what it offers now, what are great things about it and what are some of the worst.
Good sides of the internet
Information
There are a lot of advantages of the internet, first and foremost is information. Internet was made as an information exchange service and even today you can find a lot of various information about various topics that interest you. A site like Wikipedia is a completely free online encyclopedia and a lot of news companies have their own internet sites where you can find free information and news.
On the other hand, there are also websites like udemy, edx, Coursera, and many others that will offer you the education, some for free, some for money but you can get a glimpse and part of university quality education for just a fraction of price.
Online shopping
Sites like Amazon have used the internet and launched themselves as today's multi-billion companies. In today's world, there is not a single thing you can not buy online. Many sites today are going from the large online marketplace where you can find everything to small niche specialized ones. Also every major brand in the world today has its own online store.
Other shops will offer you music, movies, games, etc. Services like steam, xbox pass, sony pass etc, will let you buy games online, other music, movies, and many more.
Streaming services
Days, when you had to buy movies in order to watch them at home, are gone, thanks to the internet we have plenty of streaming services for movies and tv shows as well as ones for music. If you do not want to spend money on actually purchasing things then a good idea is to have a streaming plan set up when you want it.
Email and messaging
Communication is a great thing and since the dawn of mankind people have been talking and sharing with each other, the internet has made it possible to send mail electronically and instantly and modern chat communication is everywhere. We can not just talk with our friends and family that can be on the other side of the world, we can also talk in real-time with the sales representative, with technical service, or attend online classes with a group of people.
Cloud storage services
Saving your pictures in this digital media age on the hard drive can be risky but thanks to modern technologies you can save most of your precious files on cloud servers for safekeeping. From pictures to documents and even other files that you need and want to save. There are some of them that will offer you a free amount and some basic free plans as well.
Bad sides of the internet
Malware, viruses, and phishing
We could not talk about the bad side of the internet if we do not mention its greatest threat. Bad sites, infected software, phishing emails, and many more malicious threats. Problem is that these kinds of tricks and attacks have become more and more sophisticated and harder to detect and avoid.
Pornography
Pornography is bad, having it freely available to children is even worse. Sadly the only way to regulate this is on a computer-by-computer basis by turning on parent control on each one. There are many studies that go into detail about why this is bad, sadly currently there are no effective ways to isolate this content.
No privacy
When we say there is no privacy we do not mean by using social media and not setting your privacy settings altho that also fits in this point, what we are talking about is data mining of your habits and things you do. It is well known that today lot of websites are using some form of AI recommender system in order to tailor your internet experience to suit your needs better. Most of these AI systems are trained by mining your data and analyzing your habits.
If you have 2 google accounts there is a high probability chance that for the same query you will get different results, depending on your so far browsing habits. The same goes for other services as well.
Dark webshops
There are some great things in dark and deep WEB-like sites with true news and information. Even some legit libraries where you can find and download rare books. Sadly as goes with the internet dark and deep WEB also has its well, dark sides, from disturbing content to shops that sell stolen items to straight stealing your money by parading as legit shops but only to steal your money.
Dating sites
We all try to find someone that is perfectly matched with us but using the online dating site has many proven bad effects on psychology. It also devaluates interaction between people and can lower self-esteem.
Bad habits
Since the internet has become wildly available and popular on various devices like tablets and mobile phones more and more people are spending an unhealthy amount of time on it. Harvesting the benefits of the internet is great but find some time for other people as well.
