1. Create automatic file backup with OneDrive

   This is probably the best way to do it because each time when you sign in OneDrive files get backed up right away, files are stored in the cloud and can be accessed on any device via a Microsoft account. To get started, open the Settings app first. Click on the Update & Security category Select the Backup tab from the left pane. Move to the right page and click on the Back up files button that is available under Back up files to OneDrive. Select the folders you want to backup in the cloud, and remove those ones you don’t want to backup. On the next page, click the Start backup button to start the procedure.

2. Create a backup using File History

   File History is an inbuilt feature that allows users to create automatic file backup on Windows 10. File History allows the users to back up their files in an external or cloud drive at different intervals of time. To create automatic file backup using File History: Press the ⊞ WINDOWS + I to open the Settings app. Click on the Update & Security category and then select the Backup tab from the left pane. Under the Back up using File History section, click on Add a drive button. Now choose the drive to store the backup files. Windows will use this drive for File History. Then turn on the toggle button under Automatically back up my files. This will back up your data to the drive automatically whenever you connect it to the system. Below the toggle button, click on the “More options” link to set how frequently File History will back up. Use the Keep my backups drop-down menu to get the option to configure the time for how long you want to keep your backups. By default, it will keep your backups forever. Under the section Back up these folders, tap on the Add a folder button in order to add one more folder to the backup. Then click on the Add a folder button, under Exclude these folders. This will exclude the files that you don’t want to back up. You can stop the drive from storing backup files to change the backup storage location. To do this, click the Stop using drive option under the Back up to a different drive category.

3. Backup using Windows backup & restore tool

   Open Control Panel Click on the System and Security option Scroll down and select the Backup and Restore (Windows 7) button Next click on the Set up backup button, available under the Back up or restore your files section Under the Save backup on section, select the Backup Destination where you want your backup files to get stored On the “Set up backup” page, Windows will ask you to choose the way to backup, check Let me choose checkbox, and then hit the Next button Under the section Computer, select the files and folders you want to backup. Then uncheck the box next to the Include a system image of drives option, and then hit the Next button Now click on the Change schedule link. Set the time and check the box beside Run backup on a schedule button Click OK then select the Save settings and run backup option

If you got an Activation Error 0xC004F211 after having installed or upgraded your Windows 10 PC, then this indicates that some hardware in your computer has changed which’s causing the error to pop up. Windows might not be able to determine if the key is used on a new computer or if it’s still the same one if you have just removed or upgraded old hardware. But worry not for this post will guide you in fixing the Windows Activation Error 0xC004F211 on your Windows 10 computer. When you encounter this error, you will see the following error message on your screen:

“Cannot activate Windows 10. Try activating again later. If that doesn’t work, contact support. Error code: 0xC004F211.”

Note that although hardware changes cause this error, the minor ones don’t really cause any issues with activation, however, if you have made any significant hardware change such as replacing your motherboard, it will most likely cause the activation error. In such cases, the Windows Activation system will treat this as new hardware and you will need a new license for that. Even if your Windows 10 computer has a genuine key, it might still fail to get activated which results in the Windows Activation Error 0xC004F211. Thus, before you do other troubleshooting steps, you need to run the Windows 10 Activation Troubleshooter first. To do so, follow these steps:

• Go to Settings and then select Activation.
• After that, click on the Windows Activation and then troubleshoot. This will help you address most of the commonly found activation issues in Windows devices.

In addition, there is an exception offered by Microsoft – if you are connected to a Microsoft account prior to the hardware change, then you can most certainly use the same license key to reactivate Windows 10 again. Microsoft calls this an “Exception path” which should be fixed easily by the Windows Activation Troubleshooter as pointed out earlier. However, if the Windows Activation Troubleshooter isn’t able to resolve the error you can try purchasing a new license. In such rate case, even if you do have a Microsoft account available on your Windows 10 computer, and if Windows was never activated, this solution will not work. And if you haven’t connected your Microsoft account with your Windows 10 computer prior to the major hardware change, then your only option left is to purchase a new license. For you to do that here are some steps you can follow.

• To purchase a new Windows license, the first thing you have to do is click on the Start button > Settings > Update & Security.
• From there, go to Activation and select the “Go to Microsoft Store” option.
• After receiving your new license, you need to go back to Update & Security then go to Activation and select the “Change product key” option.
• Now update your Windows 10 computer using the new key and it should automatically activate your computer.
• Next, you have to create a Microsoft account or connect your existing local account to your online account.
• Once the system links the key and the account, you need not buy a new license in case something like this happens again.

Note: If you are an IT administrator, you need to keep in mind that there is a limit to the number of times you can reactivate Windows on your computer. Moreover, if you don’t see any option to reactivate the license, and it is a work computer, you need to contact your organization’s tech support.

One of the biggest annoyances in Windows 10 is that it’s upgrading from one version to another. Although these upgrades are necessary to fix some bugs or improve user experience, some of them actually bring bugs into the computers instead. And in one of the recent Windows 10 updates, a lot of issues were found especially for users who use Remote Desktop on a daily basis. The error stacks up as Windows 10 Remote Desktop Protocol client is not working or won’t connect and can’t find the computer HOSTNAME generally. Based on the reports by users who experienced this issue, there are two cases around it:

1. Users who try to reach a specific website or folder on the network

Some users encounter this error when they try to run the Network Troubleshooter. Even when they add the server name inside it, it still won’t identify the problem, and unpredictably, the driver seems to appear and disappear every now and then. And even after connecting, the network commands don’t work at all. This is really troublesome for users who have lots of PCs and all the other systems do not appear on the network.

2. Remote Desktop isn’t able to find the computer HOSTNAME

Some other users reported that the error appeared when they use the classic remote desktop software. It keeps on failing and throwing the error message, “Remote Desktop can’t find the computer “HOSTNAME”. If this is the same scenario you are having, it means that “HOSTNAME” does not belong to the specified network. So you need to verify the computer name and domain where you are trying to connect to. There are times when it used to work after some users tried connecting to the domain a couple of times. However, when users try to use the UWP version of Remote Desktop, it seems to connect most of the time. This kind of problem is definitely a DNS issue. It could be that there are two different records on the DNS server which is why it connects and other times it doesn’t. When it is able to resolve the correct address, the drives connect to the PC however, after a couple of minutes, they will suddenly go missing. Using “nslookup” for the hostname, multiple times, you can check this and see if you’ll get identical results all the time.

nslookup [–SubCommand …] [{ComputerToFind| [–Server]}]

If you’ve determined that the drives disappear each time, you may have to change the DNS server or ask your admin to resolve the problem for you. Alternatively, you can also check out another option that has worked for a lot of users. This second option is disabling the IPv6 on the network adapter. In case you don’t know, Windows 10 prefers IPv6 over IPv4 so if you now have issues using IPv6 to connect to the servers, you can change your computer’s settings so that it’ll only use IPv4 instead of IPv6. To do so, follow these instructions:

• Open Settings > Network and Internet > Ethernet > Change Adapter options.
• From there, right-click on the adapter for where you want to disable it and then select Properties.
• Next, look for the checkbox labeled, “Internet Protocol Version 6 (TCP/IPv6)” then uncheck it.
• Now click on OK and restart your PC to save the changes made.

If the Diagnostic Data level in your Windows 10 computer is configured manually to the non-default security setting of zero and you’ve encountered an error code of 0xc0000005, read on as this post will guide you in fixing the problem with the Remote Access Connection Manager Service. In relation to error 0xc0000005, you might also encounter an error in the Application section of Windows Logs in the Event Viewer, along with the Event ID 1000 which would most likely have a reference of “svchost.exe_RasMan” and “rasman.dll”. Before you troubleshoot the problem, keep in mind that the Remote Access Connection Manager or RasMan service is the one that manages dial-up and VPN connections from the computer to the internet as well as other remote networks. Each time you connect, the Services dials the connection or sends out a request for a VPN connection. However, the error 0xc0000005, only occurs when a VPN profile is configured as “Always On VPN or “AOVPN” connection with or without a device tunnel. There are several options you can check out to resolve this error, you can try to install the KB Update 4505903 or fix it via Group Policy. You could also try to enable Telemetry from the Settings app or enable it via Registry Editor. For more information, make sure to check out the provided options below.

Option 1 – Try installing the KB Update 4505903

The first thing you can do to fix the problem is to make sure that you’ve already installed the KB Update 4505903 in your computer. If not, then you have to go to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update and from there select the Check for updates link. You need to get the standalone package if you are using the Microsoft Update Catalog to update your computer and for that, you have to the website of the Microsoft Update Catalog. On the other hand, if you are using the Windows Server Update Services or WSUS, then you can just manually import the KB Update 4505903 into WSUS.

Option 2 – Try to enable Telemetry in the Group Policy and run the RASMAN service

The next thing you can do to fix the problem is to enable Telemetry via Group Policy and then run the RASMAN service. To do that, follow these steps:

• Tap the Win + R keys to open the Run dialog box and type “gpedit.msc” in the field and hit Enter to open the Group Policy Editor.
• Next, navigate to Computer Configuration > Administrative Templates > Windows Components > Data Collection and Preview Builds > Allow Telemetry.
• After that, open the policy and select one of the security levels like Basic, Enhanced, and Full.
• Then click on the Apply and OK buttons to save the changes made and close the Group Policy Editor.
• Once one, open the Run dialog box again and type “services.msc” in the field, and hit Enter to open the Windows Services Manager.
• From there, look for the Remote Access Connection Manager Service and restart it. And then check if it resolved the problem or not...

Option 3 – Try enabling Telemetry via Settings

• Tap the Win + I keys to open the Settings app.
• Next, go to Privacy > Diagnostics and Feedback and select Basic or Enhanced under the Diagnostic data.
• After that, tap the Win + R keys to launch Run and type “services.msc” in the field, and hit Enter to open the Services Manager.
• From there, look for the Remote Access Connection Manager Service and restart it.

Option 4 – Try to enable Telemetry via Registry Editor

• Launch the Run utility and type “regedit” in the field and tap Enter to open the Registry Editor.
• Then navigate to this path: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREPoliciesMicrosoftWindowsDataCollection
• From this path, look for “AllowTelemetry” and double click on it.
• Now enter the values, 1, 2, 3 for Basic, Enhanced, Full, respectively.
• If you can’t find AllowTelemetry, then just create a DWORD (32-bit) and name it “AllowTelemetry” and edit its value.
• Once done, exit the Registry Editor and restart the Remote Access Connection Manager Service from the Services Manager.

Internal Error 2771 - What is it?

Internal Error 2771 is an internal error code associated with Kaspersky Internet Security and Antivirus software. This error pops up when Kaspersky Internet Security software fails to install on your PC successfully. Installation of the software is interrupted and therefore it ends prematurely. To successfully overcome this problem and ensure the successful installation of Kaspersky Internet Security software on your system, try the methods given below.

Method 1- Remove the Leftover Registry Key

Sometimes Internal error code 2771 may appear during installation due to the leftover registry key from the previous Kaspersky software removal. A registry key is often created when uninstalling the previous Kaspersky version from the PC. This key is left behind even after you reboot your system. This key is called AVP**_post_ uninstall, you need to delete it to ensure the new version of the Kaspersky program is installed successfully on your PC.  For this, simply go to the start menu and type Regedit in the search bar. Now navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREMicrosoftWindowsCurrentVersionRun and then look here for the registry key called AVP**_post_ uninstall. Hopefully, this will resolve the issue. If the software installs smoothly, then the error is fixed, in case it still persists, then try other methods illustrated below.

Method 2 - Remove the INFCAHCE.1  Corrupt File

Another reason for the error pop-up may be INFCAHCHE.1 corruption. This file is basically used to store driver information and inf file locations. However, if it contains corrupted information, then you must remove it. To do this, go to the start menu and type cmd into the search bar. This will open a command prompt. Here type del C:\Windows\infinfcache.1. Now reboot your PC and try installing Kaspersky software on again.

Method 3 - Fix Software Conflict

Security software conflict can also result in internal error 2771 code display. And when this happens, the installation of Kaspersky prematurely ends. Option 2 – Try checking antivirus programs, firewall, and parental control settings

If you have antivirus programs, a firewall installed in your computer, as well as parental controls, then any of these could be blocking you to download anything, including the update for Chrome. This is why you have to double-check and make sure that software updates aren’t being blocked by these programs. • Proceed to On Startup and mark Open a specific page or set of pages.
• To check if the browser hijacker is still active, click Set pages, if it is active, overwrite the URL.

Option 7 – Reset Google Chrome

• After inputting the command, tap Enter on your keyboard and then use the set of commands given below. Note that each command is a new line so you need to tap Enter after copying each line.
  • DIR /A /X /P
  • RENAME (the current name of the problematic file) (a non-problematic name)
  • EXIT

Note: Make sure that you only input the current name and the new name separated by a space. You must not write the brackets in the command. If everything goes well, you will now be able to operate the file like you used to before.

Option 4 – Try using another workaround without using Command Prompt

This option is a lot like a workaround but it definitely gets the job done for you. It’s ideal for you if you do not want to deal with Command Prompt and only want to do everything in a graphical environment. To get started, follow the steps below.

• Look for the affected file or folder on your PC using File Explorer. Once you found it, right-click on it and select the “Add to archive” option from the context menu.
• Once the archiving options window pops up, look for the “Delete files after archiving” option and make sure that you select it then click OK to start archiving the folder or file. After that, you should now notice the file no longer exists.
• After that, delete the archive file as well.
