How to get rid of DailyBibleGuide

Daily Bible Guide is a browser extension developed by Mindspark Inc. for Google Chrome Browser. This extension offers users a fast and easy way to find Bible passages, view daily verses, study the Bible and view the current weather. When installed, this extension changes your default search engine and your home page to MyWay.

When installed this extension gathers user browsing information such as visited websites, search queries, clicked links, and other information. This information is later used to better target ads.

While active, you may encounter additional unwanted ads and sponsored links throughout your browsing sessions.

Daily Bible Guide was marked as a Browser Hijacker by several anti-virus scanners, and due to its information mining behavior, it is considered a security risk and it is not recommended to keep on your computer; being flagged for optional removal.

About Browser Hijackers

Browser hijackers (sometimes known as hijackware) are a kind of malware that alters internet browser settings without the computer owner’s knowledge or approval. These kinds of hijacks are rising at a worrying rate around the globe, and it could be actually nefarious and sometimes dangerous too. There are plenty of reasons why you might experience an internet browser hijack; but commercial, advertising, and marketing are definitely the key reasons for their creation. Generally, the idea would be to force users to visit particular sites which are looking to improve their site visitor traffic and produce higher advertisement revenue. While it might seem harmless, these tools were created by malicious individuals who always attempt to take full advantage of you, so that they could make money from your naivety and distraction. Furthermore, hijackers can make the entire infected system vulnerable – other destructive malware and viruses will grab these opportunities to intrude into your computer effortlessly.

Signs of browser hijacker infection

The typical symptoms that signify having this malware on your computer are: home page is modified; you find new unwanted favorites or bookmarks added, typically directed to ad-filled or porn websites; the default search engine is modified; discover new toolbars which you did not add; you may see random pop-ups start occurring frequently; your internet browser has instability issues or exhibits frequent errors; you cannot visit specific websites like home pages of antivirus software.

So how does a PC get infected with a browser hijacker?

Browser hijackers attack computer systems via malicious email attachments, downloaded infected files, or by visiting infected sites. They sometimes are included with toolbars, add-ons, BHO, plugins, or browser extensions. A browser hijacker can also come bundled up with some free application that you inadvertently download to your computer, compromising your internet security. A good example of a popular browser hijacker is the most recent Chinese malware named “Fireball”, which has infected 250 million PCs throughout the world. It works as a hijacker but could be changed into a fully functioning malware downloader afterward.

Browser hijackers will interrupt the user’s browsing experience significantly, keep track of the websites frequented by users and steal private information, cause difficulty in connecting to the net, and ultimately create stability problems, causing software programs and computers to crash.

Browser Hijacker Malware – Removal

Certain browser hijacking can be quite easily reversed by identifying and removing the corresponding malware program through your control panel. However, the majority of hijackers are extremely tenacious and need specialized tools to eradicate them. Additionally, manual removals require deep system knowledge and thus can be quite a difficult task for inexperienced computer users.

Installing and running anti-malware programs on the affected computer could automatically delete browser hijackers and other malicious programs. Safebytes Anti-Malware features a cutting-edge anti-malware engine that will help you prevent browser hijacking in the first place, and clean up any pre-existing issues. In addition to anti-malware, a PC optimizer software, for example, Total System Care, will help you fix Windows registry errors, remove unwanted toolbars, secure online privacy, and stabilize software programs installed on the computer.

Malware Blocking Internet And All Antivirus Software? Do This!

Malware can cause a lot of damage to your PC. Some malware variants modify internet browser settings by including a proxy server or change the PC’s DNS settings. When this happens, you will be unable to visit some or all of the websites, and therefore not able to download or install the necessary security software to clear out the infection. If you’re reading this right now, you’ve perhaps recognized that virus infection is a reason behind your blocked internet connectivity. So how to proceed when you want to download and install an anti-malware program like Safebytes? Although this sort of issue will be difficult to get around, there are some steps you can take.

Install in Safe Mode

If the malware is set to run at Windows startup, then booting in safe mode should avoid it. Only minimal required programs and services are loaded when you start your PC into Safe Mode. You will have to do the following to remove malware in Safe mode.

1) At power-on/startup, press the F8 key in 1-second intervals. This will invoke the Advanced Boot Options menu.
2) Choose Safe Mode with Networking with arrow keys and press Enter.
3) As soon as this mode loads, you should have an internet connection. Now, obtain the malware removal program you want by using the browser. To install the software, follow the directions within the installation wizard.
4) Once the software is installed, let the scan run to eliminate viruses and other malware automatically.

Switch over to some other web browser

Web-based viruses could be environment-specific, aiming for a specific web browser or attacking particular versions of the web browser. If you are not able to download the security software using Internet Explorer, it means the virus may be targeting IE’s vulnerabilities. Here, you should switch to an alternate internet browser such as Chrome or Firefox to download the Safebytes application.

Create a portable USB antivirus for removing viruses

To effectively remove the malware, you should approach the issue of running an anti-malware program on the affected computer from a different perspective. To run anti-malware using a USB flash drive, follow these simple steps:
1) Download the anti-malware on a virus-free PC.
2) Mount the USB drive onto the same system.
3) Double-click the Setup icon of the anti-malware program to run the Installation Wizard.
4) Choose the drive letter of the USB drive as the location when the wizard asks you exactly where you would like to install the anti-virus. Do as instructed on the screen to finish off the installation process.
5) Now, transfer the flash drive to the infected PC.
6) Double click the Safebytes Anti-malware icon on the USB drive to run the application.
7) Run Full System Scan to detect and clean-up up all types of malware.

To understand the cause of this activation error, users will need to understand activation within Windows. Activation is a process that allows Windows to verify that you are upgrading your operating system based on the Microsoft Software Licensing Terms. These terms specify, for instance, the number of devices upon which you can use Windows.

Once you have a genuine copy of Windows and you are following the terms mentioned earlier, you should be able to activate and complete the upgrade to Windows 10. However, the activation fails when these conditions are not met. Note also that the error may occur if users fail to upgrade to Windows 10 before reinstalling, requiring them to repeat the installation process by first going back to the previous version of Windows present on their system. Reddit released the application in MS store
Reddit appReddit is one of the most popular websites in the world and how Microsoft is opening doors to everyone in its new store Reddit took a logical step and made a Progressive web application and placed it in it. Being a Progressive web app makes it more familiar and feels like a home experience using it for a lot of Reddit users. Reddit itself has a large community and active topics discussions all the time about anything. Bringing it to Windows as an application is, in my opinion, a great move since as an application it is independent, more light-weighted, and offering some other advantages specifically tied to being a standalone windows application. PDF text disappears when editing or saving
If you are trying to save a file in a PDF format on your Windows 10 computer but then the PDF text content in an Adobe file suddenly disappears, then read on. This post will give you more insight into this issue. This kind of issue is rare and mostly occurs in forms that you can fill upon. In such a case, the text you enter in the form vanishes right after you click the Save button. One of the benefits of working with PDF files is that it has the ability to compress high-quality files to relatively small file sizes. This is really useful especially when you are saving hard drive space and you’re working with limited storage resources. However, these files can contain layered content if they are created from layered documents using applications like Adobe InDesign. Consequently, a single page of the PDF file can contain different layers with different content. So if you try to save or print a PDF file that contains layered content, the elements will disappear from the PDF. To resolve this issue, you can try to merge or flatten the file since it will help keep the changes in the PDF file. On the other hand, you can no longer make any alterations or form data once you flatten the file. Another thing to keep in mind is that merging or flattening the file can’t be undone so you might want to save another copy of the file before you proceed.

Option 1 – Print to PDF

  • First, you have to open the desired PDF file and tap the Ctrl + P keys to open the Print dialog box.
  • After that, select the “Microsoft Print to PDF” option as the printer.
  • Once the action is confirmed, it will regenerate another version of the PDF file with the default settings and merge all the existing layers into a single layer.
  • On the other hand, you can also click on the “File” menu of the PDF file and select Print.
  • From there, click on the Print button and select “PostScript (*.ps)” as the “Save as” type to save a PostScript copy of the original PDF file.
  • Once you’re done, double click on the .ps file to open the file in the Adobe Distiller which will flatten the file automatically and convert it to a PDF file with only one visible layer.

Option 2 – Save the PDF file as an Optimized PDF file

If you are using the Acrobat Reader Pro version such as the Acrobat Pro, Foxit, and so on, you can try to flatten the layers by saving the PDF file as an Optimized PDF file. Refer to these steps to do so:
  • Select File > Save as > Optimized PDF.
  • Next, select the Transparency checkbox from the Settings window that opens.
  • Then click on the Save button to apply and save the changes made. After that, the PDF text content should not disappear when you try to save a file on your Windows 10 computer.

  • Next, click on Settings and scroll down and then click on Advanced to open the Advanced Settings.
  • Then scroll down until you see the “Reset and clean up” section and click the “Restore Settings to their original defaults” option.
  • After that, you will see a confirmation box and from there, click on the Reset settings button to reset your Google Chrome browser.

Option 2 – Try to disable the Hardware Acceleration

For better performance, Google Chrome uses the Hardware Acceleration by default. Unfortunately, there are just some cases when your hardware, GPU to be specific, might not be able to cope with the requirements, resulting in the black screen issue. And if this is your case, you should try to disable the hardware acceleration from your Google Chrome browser settings panel. To do so, follow the steps below.
  • Open the Google Chrome settings page.
  • Click on the Advanced button to get more options.
  • Look for the option called “Use hardware acceleration when available” and then disable it by toggling the button to the left.
  • After that, check if the screen flickering issue in Chrome is fixed.

Option 3 – Try to disable “Smooth Scrolling” in Chrome

Disabling “Smooth Scrolling” in Chrome might also help you fix the issue. To do so, follow these steps:
  • Open Chrome and type “chrome://flags” and hit Enter.
  • Next, look for a flag named “Smooth Scrolling”. You can scroll down until you find it or search it in the Search Flag bar. Note that Smooth Scrolling is enabled by default in the newer versions of Chrome.
  • After that, select the drop-down menu and select Disabled.
  • Then click on the “Relaunch Now” button.

Not enough storage is available to process...
Each time you execute a command on your computer, it takes into account a number of files and space for the code in the background for the command to be executed. Thus, executing the command is not that easy which is why you could encounter some errors along the way due to various limitations or poor allocation of memory, and so on. One of the errors you might encounter when executing a command on Windows 10 and Windows Server is the “Not enough storage is available to process this command”. There are several potential fixes you can check out to fix this error. To fix this error, you can try to delete the temporary files in your computer, run the DISM tool or apply some registry tweaks. For more details, refer to each one of the given options below.

Option 1 – Try to delete the temporary files

The error could be caused by some temporary or junk files in your computer and so you need to clear them up to fix the problem. You can achieve that using the Storage Sense feature.
  • Open Setting > System > Storage from the WinX Menu.
  • From there, you will see a list of all the local and connected storage devices along with the details on the free space. Make sure that Storage Sense is on.
  • Next, find a link that says “Free Up Space” and click it to open.
  • After that, a screen which is the built-in program in Windows 10 will appear and will scan your computer for the following junk files so you can free up disk space:
    • Windows Upgrade Log Files
    • System created Windows Error Reporting Files
    • Thumbnails
    • Temporary Internet Files
    • Previous Windows Installation Files
    • Delivery Optimisation Files
    • DirectX Shader Cache
  • Choose the files you want to get rid of and then click on the remove files option. Note that you’ll have an idea of the total size as you select any of the junk files listed above.
  • Now go to the “Free Up Space Now” section and click the Clean now button. This will get rid of all the temporary or junk files in your computer and should hopefully fix Error 1310.

Option 2 – Run the DISM tool

You can also run the DISM Tool as it could also help in fixing the “Not enough storage is available to process this command” error in Windows 10. Using this built-in tool, you have various options such as the “/ScanHealth”, “/CheckHealth”, and “/RestoreHealth” that could help in fixing error 0x80246019.
  • You can run the DISM tool via Advanced Startup Options or you could boot your computer into a Clean Boot State and then select Command Prompt.
  • Open the Command Prompt with admin privileges.
  • Then type in the following commands and make sure to hit Enter right after you type each one of them:
    • Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /CheckHealth
    • Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /ScanHealth
    • exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth
  • Do not close the window if the process takes a while as it will probably take a few minutes to finish. Once it’s done, restart your computer and try again. If it didn’t work, you can try to use the “/StartComponentCleanup” parameter: Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /StartComponentCleanup

Option 3 – Try to use the Registry Editor

The memory range allocated for the tasks and commands to be executed is associated with the IRPStackSize DWORD. Thus, to fix the error, you need to extend the range by applying some registry tweak. Before you proceed, make sure that you create a System Restore point first. Once you’re done, follow these steps:
  • Tap the Win + R keys to open the Run dialog box and type “Regedit” in the field and tap Enter to open the Registry Editor.
  • Next, navigate to this registry key: ComputerHKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESYSTEMCurrentControlSetServicesLanmanServerParameters
  • From there, look for the DWORD named “IRPStackSize” and right-click on it. If you can’t find this DWORD, just right-click on any empty space and select New > DWORD (32-bit) Value.
  • Input “IRPStackSize” as the DWORD name and double click on it and set its Value data to be greater than its default value. Note that the maximum value allowed is “0xc” and the range starts from “0x1”.
  • Now click on OK and exit the Registry Editor and then restart your computer and see if the error is fixed.
