Moving forward a couple of years later we have Windows 10 but still, we do not have live animated wallpapers. Since I am the kind of person who does not want to wait on Microsoft and now it is time to bring animated wallpapers back I am going to make one all by myself and you are welcome to join the ride and do the same for you as well. Choosing the application

First, we will need some form of application which can we look at our animated wallpapers and since they are animations it means video, so we will need a video player and what better choice than a VLC player, an open-source light weighs all-format player. Get a VLC player from here and install it.

Finding video source

The next thing is to of course have some looping video that we will use as background. There are many sites and ways to get seamless loop videos, I use this youtube channel for my backgrounds. Altho you can use any video footage you want it is recommended that it is not too long, that it is hi-resolution so we do not have pixels on-screen, and if you can, get it as seamless since we do not want to see stutter when the video is lopped from the beginning. So hopefully you have desired video and VLC player installed.

Putting it all together

Copy the following code and paste it into your search bar in Windows to open the Startup folder, or navigate to the Startup folder yourself via file explorer if you know where it is. %appdata%\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Startup Now, next thing is to copy and past the VLC shortcut into this folder so it is started when Windows is first time booted. Right-click on the shortcut and in the edit field paste this: "C:\Program Files\VideoLAN\VLC\vlc.exe" --video-wallpaper --qt-start-minimized --no-qt-fs-controller --repeat --no-video-title-show --qt-notification=0 "C:\videopath\filename.mp4" where "C:\Program Files\VideoLAN\VLC\vlc.exe" is the path where VLC is installed, point this to where you have installed it "C:\videopath\filename.mp4" is the path where you have your video that you wish to use as animated wallpaper. Please note also that in my case there is mp4 as an extension but it does not need to be mp4, just use any extension VLC can open and play.

• Next, restart the services you’ve stopped by entering another series of commands. Don’t forget to hit Enter after you key in one command after the other.
  • net start wuauserv
  • net start cryptsvc
  • net start bits
  • net start msiserver
• Close Command Prompt and reboot your PC.

Option 3 – Try configuring the Windows Update-related Services

• Tap the Win + R keys to open the Run dialog box.
• Then type “cmd” in the field and tap Enter to open an elevated Command Prompt.
• Next, execute the following commands. Note that you have to type and enter each the command one after the other.

First thing is to confirm the error prompt, Click on the OK button and then on X to exit Windows 10 installation wizard. Click on yes to confirm that you want to exit the setup. You will find yourself in original installation windows. On that screen choose and click on Repair your computer. Choose an option screen that will pop up, click on Troubleshoot. In the advanced options, click on the command prompt. Once you are in command prompts type DISKPART and hit ENTER In the diskpart prompt type LIST DISK and hit ENTER again. type SELECT DISK #, where # is listed disk number where you would like to install Windows. type LIST VOLUME in order to list volumes in the selected disk and hit ENTER You need to select the volume on which you would like to place your WINDOWS, to do this type in SELECT VOLUME #, where # is the listed number of the volume Finally, type FORMAT FS=NTFS and hit ENTER You have successfully formated a given volume, you can now exit DISKPART and return to setup, to exit DISKPART simply type exit and hit ENTER. Leave command prompt as well by again typing exit and hitting ENTER You will be returned to Choose an option screen, click on Turn off your PC. Your drive has been successfully formatted and it is ready for clean Windows installation, you can now restart your Windows 10 installation and the process will complete without errors.

Twitch Streaming

• Enable Two-Factor Authentication on Twitch: Navigate to the settings of your profile and the Security and Privacy tab. Before you can start broadcasting with XSplit, you must set up Two-Factor Authentication.
• Set Up Twitch Streaming Profile in XSplit: In XSplit Broadcaster, navigate to Broadcast > Set up a new output > Twitch. Select an account to authorize with XSplit and proceed.
• XSplit automatically chooses a resolution to record based on target server connection quality.
• A settings window opens before you complete the setup, which allows you to customize the server and video recording options. Once you have completed the setup, your Twitch profile is set up in XSplit. You can begin a stream by navigating back to Broadcast and clicking on the new Twitch profile.

YouTube Streaming

• Enable YouTube Streaming Live: Click on your YouTube profile picture to open a dropdown and click on YouTube Studio Beta.
• On the left side of the page, navigate to Other features and click on Live events in the dropdown.
• Click on Enable live streaming to set up live streaming for your YouTube profile.
• Set Up YouTube Streaming Profile in XSplit: In XSplit Broadcaster, navigate to Broadcast > Set up a new output > YouTube. Select an account to authorize with XSplit and proceed.
• Once YouTube Live Properties window pops up, click Authorize to connect your Google account. You can also change any settings as needed before you begin a live stream. Once you’re ready to broadcast live with XSplit, navigate back to Broadcast and click your new YouTube Live profile.

Facebook Live Streaming

• Set Up Facebook Live Streaming Profile in XSplit: In XSplit Broadcaster, navigate to Broadcast > Set up a new output > Facebook Live.
• A prompt opens in XSplit to log in to your Facebook profile.
• Log in and set up permissions and posting options as you’d like them to appear whenever you stream live on Facebook. After you’ve completed the permission process, your Facebook Live profile is ready to use in XSplit. You can navigate anytime back to Broadcast and select your new Facebook Live profile in XSplit to begin a live stream.

Setting up Logitech C922 with OBS

• Add Logitech C922 as a Capture Device: Click the + under the Sources section. Once you are in the drop-menu, select Video Capture Device.
• When this menu pops up, click Create New and hit OK.
• From the Device bar, you can select your Logitech C922 as a default Video Capture Device. Set any configurations up how you want them and click OK before exiting.
• Changing Resolution or Frames Per Second: With OBS open, click on Settings in the bottom-right portion of the screen and then on the Video tab on the next page. Here you can set up the screen resolution, downscale filter, and frames per second defaults for all videos recorded with OBS. Click Apply before exiting.
