Fix A breakpoint has been reached, 0x80000003

If you suddenly encounter Error 0x80000003 while trying to execute a random file then read on as this post will show you how you can fix such an error. Obviously, it mostly happens on executable files or .exe files and is most likely caused by the conflict in the execution of some registry files or it could also be caused by missing drivers or it could also be due to some incompatible hardware which is why you’re unable to run the executable file.

When you encounter this error, you will see the following error message on your screen:

“The exception Breakpoint, A breakpoint has been reached, (0x80000003) occurred in the application.”

As you can tell, the Windows Executive STATUS message is a warning and if you are given an option, you must select one of the options from the message box. So if you are running the application in an end-user environment rather than in a development environment, you must contact the supplier of the running application regarding this error message since this shouldn’t be happening when a finished program is running.

Before you get started executing the troubleshooting guide given below, make sure that you create a System Restore Point first since you will be dealing with some critical settings in Windows. Having done this, proceed to the options provided below.

Option 1 – Try to run the CHKDSK utility

Running the CHKDSK utility might also help you resolve Error 0x80000003. If your hard drive has issues with integrity, the update will really fail as the system will think that it’s not healthy and that’s where the CHKDSK utility comes in. The CHKDSK utility repairs hard drive errors that might be causing the problem.

  • Open Command Prompt with admin privileges.
  • After opening Command Prompt, execute the following command and hit Enter:

chkdsk /f /r

  • Wait for the process to be completed and then restart your computer.

Option 2 – Try to run a System File Checker scan

You can also try to run a System File Checker or SFC scan in order to scan your computer for corrupted files that might be the cause behind the Error 0x80000003. Once it finds any corrupted system files, it will automatically fix them. To run System File Checker, here’s what you have to do:

  • Tap Win + R to launch Run.
  • Type in cmd in the field and tap Enter.
  • After opening Command Prompt, type in sfc /scannow

The command will start a system scan which will take a few whiles before it finishes. Once it’s done, you could get the following results:

  1. Windows Resource Protection did not find any integrity violations.
  2. Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files and successfully repaired them.
  3. Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files but was unable to fix some of them.
  • Restart your computer after the scan is completed.

Option 3 – Perform a Clean Boot

There are some instances that some conflicting programs installed in your computer might be the one that’s causing the Error 0x80000003 to appear. To identify which program is causing the problem, you need to put your computer in a Clean Boot State. To do so, follow the steps below.

  • Log onto your PC as an administrator.
  • Type in MSConfig in the Start Search to open the System Configuration utility.
  • From there, go to the General tab and click “Selective startup”.
  • Clear the “Load Startup items” check box and make sure that the “Load System Services” and “Use Original boot configuration” options are checked.
  • Next, click the Services tab and select the “Hide All Microsoft Services” check box.
  • Click Disable all.
  • Click on Apply/OK and restart your PC. (This will put your PC into a Clean Boot State. And configure Windows to use the usual startup, just simply undo the changes.)
  • From there, start to isolate the problem by checking which one of the programs you installed recently is the root cause of the problem.

Option 4 – Run the Memory Diagnostic Tool to check for Memory leaks

  • Tap the Win + R keys to open Run and type mdsched.exe and hit Enter to open the Windows Memory Diagnostic Tool.
  • After that, it will give two options such as:
    • Restart now and check for problems (Recommended)
    • Check for problems the next time I start my computer
  • Once your computer has restarted, perform a basic scan or you could also go for the “Advanced” options such as “Test mix” or “Pass count”. Simply tap the F10 key to start the test.

Option 5 – Try contacting the developer

If you find that you’re getting Error 0x80000003 on only one particular application, then you can try to contact the developer of the software that’s throwing up this error. All you have to do is search the web for the official support channel of the software and discuss the error from there.

Guide for Removing FullTab From PC

FullTab is a Browser Extension for Google Chrome, Firefox, and Internet Explorer. When installed this extension hijacks your home page, and changes your default search engine to http://search.fulltabsearch.com. This extension usually comes bundled with other freeware software, and while installed it monitors your internet browsing activity, visited links, clicked pages, and other private information that it later uses to distribute targeted unwanted ads in your search results.

While this extension is installed, you will see modified search results, injected ads, sponsored links, web page redirects, and sometimes even pop-up ads. Several anti-virus scanners have detected this extension as a Browser Hijacker, and due to the information it is gathering from your computer it is not recommended to keep.

About Browser Hijackers

Browser hijackers (sometimes called hijackware) are a kind of malicious software that modifies web browser configuration settings without the user’s knowledge or consent. These hijacks appear to be increasing at an alarming rate globally, and they can be truly nefarious and sometimes harmful too. Browser hijackers are capable of doing more than just changing home pages. Usually, browser hijacking is utilized for earning advertising revenue that comes from forced ad clicks and website visits. Most people believe that such websites are legitimate and harmless but that is not the case. Almost every browser hijacker poses an actual threat to your online safety and it is necessary to categorize them under privacy risks. Browser hijackers can also let other vicious programs without your knowledge further damage your personal computer.

Browser hijacking signs and symptoms

There are numerous signs that indicate the web browser is hijacked: 1. your browser’s home page is suddenly different 2. you find redirected to internet sites you never meant to visit 3. the default web browser settings are modified and/or your default web engine is altered 4. you find unsolicited new toolbars added 5. unstoppable flurries of pop-up advertisements appear on your personal computer screen 6. webpages load slowly and sometimes incomplete 7. you can’t navigate to specific web pages, like computer security software-related sites.

Precisely how browser hijacker infects computers

There are many ways your PC can get infected with a browser hijacker. They usually arrive through spam e-mail, via file-sharing networks, or by a drive-by download. They are usually included with toolbars, BHO, add-ons, plug-ins, or browser extensions. Browser hijackers sneak to your pc in addition to free software application downloads also that you unintentionally install along with the original. Examples of popular browser hijackers include Fireball, GoSave, Ask Toolbar, CoolWebSearch, RocketTab, and Babylon Toolbar. The presence of any browser hijacker on your system can considerably diminish the web browsing experience, record your internet activities that lead to troublesome privacy concerns, diminish overall computer performance and cause application instability as well.

Removal

Some browser hijacking can be quite easily corrected by identifying and removing the corresponding malware software through your control panel. However, most hijackers are very tenacious and require specialized tools to remove them. And there’s no denying the very fact that the manual fixes and removal methods can certainly be a difficult job for a rookie PC user. Additionally, there are many risks associated with tinkering around with the pc registry files.

The dark mode is very popular in many applications today, some large companies like Adobe, Autodesk, and many more have already adopted a dark color scheme for their software so it is logical for others to follow and Microsoft is aboard for it. The dark mode itself has its benefits, for people who work on computer for longer period of time dark mode inside applications will throw less white and blue light on their eyes making workhours easier and pleasant on them. How to paste just plain text anywhere

Taking information from the internet or from other sources usually involves selecting the text, copying it into the clipboard, and then pasting it into your file. In today's modern applications pasting text will most of the time take its formating with it.

keyboard shortcut paste

By formatting what I am talking about are parameters like font size, line breaks, hyperlinks, font styles, etc. and sometimes you do not want any of these in your file, you would like and prefer to have just plain text so you can format it as you wish.

In order to paste just plain text instead of using the CTRL + V keyboard shortcut, press CTRL + SHIFT + V instead. This shortcut will paste the only text into your file.

Shortcut and Microsoft Word

Leave it to Microsoft to make its shortcut not work in their application. In Microsoft Word, you can only use the standard CTRL + V shortcut, if you press CTRL + SHIFT + V nothing will happen. So in order to paste the only text into a word document, choose to paste special > text only

Other applications

I have tried CTRL + SHIFT + V in various applications like photoshop, illustrator, InDesign, visual studio code, slack, discord, WordPress installations, etc and only one that has not worked for me was Word and office in general so you are safe to use this trick and have desired results.

How to Fix Windows 10 Error Code 0x80070008

Error Code 0x80070008 - What is it

Error Code 0x80070008 generally appears on machines running Windows 10, although it may sometimes also appear on earlier versions of the software, going all the way back to Windows 7, when the error was first introduced.

Common symptoms include:

  • Inability to complete the Windows 10 Update process fully
  • Machine running slowly
  • Messages about a lack of memory on the device in question

If Error Code 0x80070008 has appeared on your computer, there are several things that you can do in order to fix the error and be able to install updates as necessary. Most of these methods are simple enough to use, even for the most inexperienced users, but at least one of the methods may require advanced knowledge or comfort in changing your settings on a deeper level.

If you don’t feel comfortable in your ability to use the steps below to resolve Error Code 0x80070008, get in touch with a qualified technician who is experienced in memory issues and Windows 10 error code resolution to assist you.

Solution

Restoro box imageError Causes

There are three basic causes for Error Code 0x80070008. The first is that your machine may not have enough memory to finish the installation of an update. The second possible cause is that another program may be interfering with your machine’s ability to finish the update installation. Lastly, Error Code 0x80070008 can occur when a user has a lot of language packs, which may interfere with the ability to complete updates.

Further Information and Manual Repair

Because there are three different causes for Error Code 0x80070008, there are also three different methods to attempt to resolve the error. If you believe that the error may be caused by the number of language packs installed on your device, you should attempt method three first. Otherwise, use methods one and two first.

If you are not confident that you can do the steps below on your own to resolve Error Code 0x80070008, get in touch with a certified computer repair technician that is familiar with Windows 10 issues in order to fix the issue.

Here are the top three methods to resolve Error Code 0x80070008 on a machine running Windows 10:

Method One:  Run the Windows Update Troubleshooter

When Error Code 0x80070008 first appears on your computer, one of the first steps that you can take to resolve the issue is to open up the Windows Update module and click on the “Troubleshoot” tool. This will run a scan on the Windows Update tool to attempt to identify the root cause of the problem and to resolve it automatically for you.

If the troubleshooter finds a problem, simply follow the steps on the screen to resolve the error. In some cases, you may want to restart your computer after this process is complete before you attempt to run the Windows Update tool again.

Method Two:  Close All Programs Until Updates are Done

In some cases, a lack of memory on the machine can mean that running other programs while you are attempting to run Windows Update will cause the update process to fail. Closeout all of the programs that are running on the device, including any antivirus software or firewalls, before you run the update process. If this allows the Update process to run through to completion, you can then reactivate all of the programs that were running prior to the update.

Method Three:  Remove Unwanted Language Packs

This method generally applies to users who have an abundance of language packs installed on their machine, usually more than 20 in total, which may interfere with the update process. To remove unwanted language packs, follow these steps:

  • Step One: Open the Start Panel and select “Control Panel.”
  • Step Two: Find the setting for “Clock, Language, and Region” and choose “Region and Language.”
  • Step Three: Select the option for “Keyboards and Languages,” then under the settings for “Display language,” choose “install/uninstall languages” and select “uninstall display languages.”
  • Step Four: For any languages that you do not wish to keep, deselect them and choose “Next.” It may require several minutes for the process to complete.
  • Step Five: After the unwanted language packs have been removed from your computer, you can attempt to run Windows Update again. You may want to restart your computer first for maximum efficiency.

Method Four: Use An Automated Tool

If you wish to always have at your disposal a utility tool to fix these Windows 10 and other related issues when they do arise, download and install a powerful automated tool.

Desk365 Complete Removal - PUP Removal Guide

What is Desk365?

Desk 365 is a program developed by 337 Technology Limited and is classified as a potentially unwanted application by a number of Antiviruses. While not technically malware, for many users it is unwanted as it is often distributed as a bundle with other downloads. It allows a fast way to access your shortcuts and applications. Upon installation this program will insert itself into the system registry, adding startup strings to allow it to automatically start every time your system is restarted. The software adds a scheduled windows task to allow it to reopen itself even when closed. The applications also access the internet and add firewall rules to your system, that allow it to access anything without restrictions.

The main executable file for this application is Dock365.exe. It is possible to delete this file preventing the application to run, but its monitoring services and registry entities remain hidden inside your computer.

The software sends browsing information back to its ad servers, displaying custom ads and sponsored products instead of the usual search results. And the app itself pins itself to the start menu and cannot be removed.

About Potentially Unwanted Applications

Have you ever discovered an unwanted program on your PC that you didn’t consciously download and never gave authorization to be installed? Potentially Unwanted Programs (PUP), also referred to as Potentially Unwanted Applications (PUA), are applications that you never wanted in the first place and often come bundled with freeware. Once installed, the majority of these applications can be difficult to eliminate and become much more of an annoyance rather than a necessity. PUPs did not actually constitute pure “malware” in the strict sense of the definition. What normally makes a PUP different from malicious software is that whenever you download one, you’re doing it with your consent – though in many instances unconsciously and unwillingly. A PUP may not be regarded as malicious or unsafe yet still, it’s a common cause of clunky OS’s; some PUPs are a lot more aggressive by intentionally slowing down your computer or laptop.

Exactly how do unwanted programs look like?

Potentially Unwanted Programs can be found in different forms and varieties, but in the majority of cases, these are typically adware programs that exhibit irritating pop-up adverts and advertisements on websites you check out. They even come in the form of browser extension toolbars and add-ons. Not only they needlessly take up space on your screen, but toolbars can also manipulate search engine results, keep an eye on your surfing activities, decrease your internet browser’s efficiency, and slow down your internet connection to a crawl. PUPs load up a dangerous bite if left unchecked. They could include keyloggers, dialers, and other program built into them which could track you or send your sensitive information to third parties. Typically, such software will disable security protections and configuration settings to take control over your computer or laptop, leaving that PC vulnerable to online hackers and data fraud. At a minimum, PUPs slow your computer down with every added program.

Tips on how to prevent PUPs

• Read the fine print so that the end-user license agreement (EULA) you are accepting is only for the software you primarily intend to download. • Choose the “custom” install whenever installing an application. Especially, look closely at those small boxes which have been checked as default, where you may ‘agree’ to receive promotions or install software bundlers. • Use an anti-PUP program. Security applications such as Safebytes Anti-Malware gives the very best real-time protection against PUPs and also other malware. • Be alert if you download and install freeware, open-source programs, or shareware. Nowadays ‘freeware’ isn’t actually freeware – but “crapware” bundling nonsense. • Always download software from trustworthy sources like official websites rather than untrustworthy sharing space. Avoid file-hosting sites where/when possible.

What To Do If You Cannot Download Safebytes Anti-Malware?

Every malware is detrimental and the level of the damage can vary greatly according to the type of infection. Some malware is designed to restrict or prevent things that you wish to do on your PC. It may well not permit you to download anything from the web or prevent you from accessing some or all internet sites, in particular the antivirus sites. If you are reading this, chances are you’re stuck with a virus infection that is preventing you to download or install Safebytes Anti-Malware software on your computer system. There are a few fixes you could try to get around with this particular problem. Download the software in Safe Mode with Networking The Windows-based PC comes with a special mode known as “Safe Mode” in which just the minimum required programs and services are loaded. If the malicious software is set to load immediately when PC boots, shifting into this mode may well prevent it from doing so. To get into Safe Mode or Safe Mode with Networking, press the F8 key while the system is starting up or run MSCONFIG and look for the “Safe Boot” options in the “Boot” tab. After you restart the PC into Safe Mode with Networking, you can download, install, and update the anti-malware program from there. At this point, you could run the anti-virus scan to eliminate viruses and malware without any hindrance from another malicious application.

Switch over to an alternate web browser

Some malware mainly targets specific internet browsers. If this sounds like your situation, use another internet browser as it might circumvent the malware. If you are not able to download the anti-virus software using Internet Explorer, it means the virus could be targeting IE’s vulnerabilities. Here, you need to switch to a different internet browser such as Chrome or Firefox to download Safebytes Anti-malware software.

Install and run anti-virus from your flash drive

Another option would be to create a portable anti-malware program on your USB stick. To run antivirus from a thumb drive, follow these simple steps: 1) Make use of another virus-free computer to download Safebytes Anti-Malware. 2) Plug in the pen drive to a USB port on the uninfected computer. 3) Double-click the Setup icon of the antivirus software package to run the Installation Wizard. 4) When asked, choose the location of the USB drive as the place in which you want to put the software files. Follow activation instructions. 5) Now, insert the USB drive into the infected PC. 6) Run the Safebytes Anti-malware directly from the flash drive by double-clicking the icon. 7) Run Full System Scan to detect and clean-up up all kinds of malware. If all the above approaches fail to help you in downloading the anti-malware, then you’ve no alternative but to reinstall the computer’s operating system to wipe out all the data, including the malicious programs which are obstructing the anti-malware installation. Turn On or Off the Recommended Troubleshooting
For a while now, Microsoft has been working hard to add various built-in troubleshooters in Windows 10. In fact, there is a troubleshooter for almost every standard or common error in Windows 10. And now with the newly released Windows 10 v1903, Microsoft has added the Recommended Troubleshooting which allows Windows 10 to automatically fix a lot of critical issues on your computer, and in this post, you will be guided on how you can turn on or off the Recommended Troubleshooting in Windows 10. The Microsoft Diagnostic & Feedback data only provides two settings – Basic and Full. So if you want to turn off the Recommended Troubleshooting for some reason, the only way to do so is to stop it from collecting complete data from your PC. And to turn it on or off, you can choose to switch between them. To do that, navigate to Settings > Privacy > Diagnostics & feedback and from there, select Basic under the Diagnostic Data section. After that, go back to Settings and go to Update & security > Troubleshoot. Once you’re there, you should see a warning message saying, “Share Full Diagnostic data to get additional troubleshooting recommendations”. Based on the message, Microsoft will only offer the recommended troubleshooting based on the Full Diagnostic data which it collects from your computer. On the other hand, if you know how to navigate and use the Windows Registry, then you can enable or disable the Recommended Troubleshooting via Registry Editor but before you proceed, make sure that you create a System Restore point. Once that’s covered, follow these steps:
  • Tap the Win + R keys to open the Run dialog box and type “regedit” in the field and tap Enter to open the Registry Editor.
  • Next, navigate to this registry path: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREMicrosoft
  • From there, look for the key named “WindowsMigration”. If you can’t find it, just right-click on the left pane and create a new key and then name it “WindowsMigration”.
  • After that, create a DWORD “UserPreference” and double click on it to set its value to “0” if you want to turn it off or “1” if you want to turn it on.
  • Exit the Registry Editor and restart your computer to apply the changes made.
Note: The Recommended Troubleshooting functionality can look into the error logs sent back to the Microsoft team and use an algorithm to set up a solution for you and they’re nothing but Diagnostics and Feedback data that Windows collects and sends back to Microsoft. Moreover, the recommendations are only visible if you are connected to the internet, else it will show the same message.
