Fix BlueTooth issues in Windows 10

Bluetooth troubleshooting, I believe firmly that each one of us who has Bluetooth sooner or later had some issues with it, after all, it seems that it is in nature of radio transmitters to from time to time due to nature of signal and nature of Windows loose communication between them and can cause device which seems to work properly but can not establish the connection.

Most of the time Bluetooth issues are like that, the signal gets lost, the connection is broken, and establishing it again can be sometimes real pain, luckily for you, we have experience in this field and are here to help you and provide you with tips how to solve Bluetooth connection issues based on our own struggles.

  1. Check if BlueTooth is ON

Yes, this seems stupid and sounds a lot like is it plugged in but here me out. Due to lost connections and different power plans setting inside your Windows, your Bluetooth receiver might be actually turned OFF thus preventing your other device to find your computer. Checking to see if Bluetooth has been by some accident turned OFF and switching it back ON should be the first thing to do and this could be a simple solution for your problem.

  2. Restart the BlueTooth device.

Yup, another of these have you tried turning it OFF and turn it back ON advice which seems like tech cliche but in the case of Bluetooth, this can actually solve your problem. Radio signals and radio connections are not the same kinds of beasts like cable ones and sometimes Bluetooth device remembers certain information and can cause conflict. Turning it OFF and then back ON will clear its memory and cache and you will be ready for a new start hopefully solving your issue along the way.

  3. Check power supply

If your Bluetooth device does not have a battery indicator, it would be wise to check on the battery status of the device. Sometimes we forget to charge batteries, sometimes someones have drained them. Checking the battery or just checking if the power supply is working properly should not be overlooked and it definitely should be on your to-do list of quick solutions.

  4. Restart PC

Sometimes most simple solutions work and if restarting your Bluetooth device did not work, maybe restarting your PC will. When you restart the PC, you clear the cache and many other things that could potentially be the reason for connection issues.

  5. Checks BlueTooth device distance from computer or interference from obstacles

The Bluetooth device operates via radio waves, and like wi-fi, if the distance from the computer is too large or you have some thick walls in between signal will degrade and be almost useless. Be aware that your PC might catch device waves and detect them but the signal itself could be too weak for the connection to work properly. Take the device and move it closer to the PC to see if the problem will go away, if it does issue was in distance or walls.

  6. Reinstall or update device drivers.

Sometimes the issue could be in Windows update and old drivers, make sure that all of your drivers are updated with the latest version and that Windows itself has the most recent update in it. Trying to reinstall device cold also solve some the issue.

  7. Remove and Pair deice again

if you tried all previous steps, try removing the device from Windows and then pairing it again. This could solve the issue since Windows itself could have mistakenly saved it like something else and can not recognize it.

  8. Use Windows troubleshooter

If everything else failed, right-click and go to troubleshoot. Windows troubleshooter will try to find the issue and direct you to a solution.

If sadly none of these things do work, you should contact the device manufacturer since it is a very good chance that the problem is one of a hardware nature.

The error code 651 occurs due to multiple reasons. However, some of the most common error causes include:
  • The raspppoe.sys file saved in the wrong location
  • IP setting  issues
  • Registry issues

Further Information and Manual Repair

Here are some of the best and easiest solutions to resolve the error code 651 on your system immediately. These solutions are so easy to perform that you don’t need any technical expertise or knowledge to get started. So here we go!

Solution 1: Reset TCP/IP Settings

To reset TCP/IP settings on your PC, here’s what you need to do. Simply replace the RAS PPPoE driver. First open a command prompt, then write the following command in the command prompt:  TAKEOWN /F"C:Windowssystem32driversraspppoe.sys" ICACLS "C:Windowssystem32driversraspppoe.sys" /grant administrators:F. After that, press enter to continue. Now close the command prompt and go to the folder C:\Windows\system32\drivers, here rename the raspppoe.sys file to raspppoe2.sys. Now right click on save the link as Vista RAS PPPoE Driver and save it in the C:\Windows\system32\drivers folder. Once this process is complete, to activate changes made, restart your PC. This is most likely to resolve the error code 651 on your system.

Solution 2: Try Power Cycling your Modem and your Router

This is another way to resolve error 651. However, before you try this solution, it is recommended that you save all your work on your system, close all your open applications, and then shut down your PC. After that first turn your router off and wait for about 2 minutes. Then turn off your modem too. Now disconnect all the Ethernet cables that are connected to your modem, router and your system. Reconnect them again and make sure that the connections are not loose. After reconnecting the cables, reboot your PC and switch on the modem first. After your modem gets initialized, turn on the router. See if this procedure works. If it does, then that’s great the issue is resolved. However, if the error persists, then this indicates deeper problems. The error message is triggered due to registry issues.

Solution 3: Clean and Repair the Registry

Sometimes the underlying cause of error 651 is a corrupt and damaged registry. Registry is the database where operating system stores all the information associated with installed programs and activities performed on your PC. Registry issues typically result due to poor PC maintenance. When you don’t clean the registry the unnecessary and obsolete files accumulate and acquire a lot space. It damages the registry and DLL files. This often leads to disk fragmentation and files are then saved in segments in different locations. This also slows down your PC performance. This could also be the reason for why the raspppoe.sys file is saved in the wrong location. Though you can repair the registry manually but it may be complex for you especially if you are not technically sound. And besides, it is also slightly time-consuming.

How to Install SafeBytes Anti-Malware Software When Malware Blocks or Prevents the Process
All malware is detrimental and the magnitude of the damage will vary greatly depending on the type of infection. Some malware variants modify internet browser settings by adding a proxy server or modify the PC's DNS settings. When this happens, you'll be unable to visit certain or all the sites, and therefore not able to download or install the required security software to clear out the computer malware. If you’re reading this article, chances are, you’re stuck with a virus infection that is preventing you from downloading and/or installing the Safebytes Anti-Malware program on your computer. Refer to the instructions below to remove malware through alternate methods.

Method 1: Install Anti-Malware in Safe Mode with Networking

If the malware is set to load automatically when Microsoft Windows starts, entering safe mode may block the attempt. Since only the minimal applications and services start-up in safe mode, there are rarely any reasons for conflicts to happen. You will need to do the following to remove malware in Safe mode.
  • 1) Tap the F8 key continuously as soon as your computer boots, however, before the large Windows logo or black screen with white texts come up. This would invoke the Advanced Boot Options menu.
  • 2) Choose Safe Mode with Networking using arrow keys and press Enter.
  • 3) When you are into this mode, you will have access to the internet once again. Now, utilize your web browser normally and download Safebytes Anti-Malware.
  • 4) After installation, do a complete scan and allow the software to get rid of the threats it detects.

Method 2: Utilize An Alternate Internet Browser to Download Anti-Malware Software

Malicious program code may exploit vulnerabilities in a specific web browser and block access to all antivirus software sites. If you suspect that your Internet Explorer has been hijacked by computer malware or otherwise compromised by cybercriminals, the most effective plan of action is to switch to an alternate web browser such as Chrome, Firefox, or Safari to download your chosen security program - Safebytes Anti-Malware.

Download SafeBytes Anti-Malware for Malware Removal

Method 3: Install and Run Anti-Malware From a USB Drive

To effectively remove the malware, you might want to approach the problem of installing an antivirus software program on the affected computer from a different angle. Adopt these measures to employ a flash drive to fix your infected computer.
  • 1) Use another malware-free PC to download Safebytes Anti-Malware.
  • 2) Plug the thumb drive into the uninfected computer.
  • 3) Double click on the executable file to open the installation wizard.
  • 4) Choose the drive letter of the USB drive as the place when the wizard asks you exactly where you would like to install the anti-virus. Follow activation instructions.
  • 5) Now, transfer the thumb drive to the infected computer.
  • 6) Double-click the antivirus program EXE file on the USB flash drive.
  • 7) Click on the “Scan Now” button to start the malware scan.
If no other method of downloading and installing the antivirus software works, then you've no other option than to hit the last resort: a full Windows reinstallation, the only approach known to have a 100% rate of success at virus removal.

Website isn’t responding to connection
If there are any third-party add-ons or proxy settings that interfere with your Windows 10 computer’s internet connection, then you will most likely encounter a problem where you see an error message saying, “Website is online but isn’t responding to connection attempts” when you try to run the Network Adapter troubleshooter. Like pointed out, this kind of error can be caused by some proxy settings that prevent the connection. On the other hand, it could also be caused by some third-party add-ons. To fix this error, read on as this post will guide you on what you can do to fix it. You can try to turn off the proxy settings or disable the add-ons on your browser. You can also try resetting both the TCP/IP and DNS as well as reset the network. For more details, refer to the options provided below.

Option 1 – Try to turn off the proxy settings

There are some users who reported that they’ve fixed the problem after they’ve disabled the use of a proxy server using the built-in way. Follow the steps below to disable the proxy server.
  • Tap the Win + R keys to open the Run dialog box.
  • Then type “inetcpl.cpl” in the field and hit Enter to pull up the Internet Properties.
  • After that, go to the Connections tab and select the LAN settings.
  • From there. Uncheck the “Use a Proxy Server” option for your LAN and then make sure that the “Automatically detect settings” option is checked.
  • Now click the OK and the Apply buttons.
  • Restart your PC.
Note: If you are using a third-party proxy service, you have to disable it.

Option 2 – Try disabling the add-ons or browser extensions

The next thing you can do to fix the problem is to disable any extensions or add-ons on your browser. For instance, if you are using Chrome, here’s what you have to do:
  • Open Chrome and press Alt + F keys.
  • Go to More tools and click Extensions to look for any suspicious browser extensions or toolbars.
  • Click the Recycle bin and select Remove.
  • Restart Chrome and press Alt + F keys again.
  • Proceed to On Startup and mark Open a specific page or set of pages.
  • To check if the browser hijacker is still active, click Set pages, if it is active, overwrite the URL.

Option 4 – Try to reset the TCP/IP and the DNS cache

As you know, the TCP/IP or the Internet Protocol is the most important thing if you want to use the internet on your computer. That’s why if it ends up getting corrupted, you need to reset the TCP/IP to fix the problem. To reset TCP/IP, refer to these steps:
  • In the Windows start to search, type “command prompt” and right-click on Command Prompt from the search results.
  • Then select the “Run as administrator” option to open Command Prompt with admin privileges.
  • After that, execute this command: netsh int ip reset resettcpip.txt
  • Next, execute this second command: ipconfig /flushdns
  • Once it’s done, exit Command Prompt and restart your computer and then check if the error is now fixed.

Option 5 – Try to reset the Network

You can also try to perform a Network Reset to resolve the problem. This will reset the entire network configuration including your IP address. To perform Network Reset, follow these steps:
  • Tap the Win + I keys to open Settings.
  • From there, go to the Network and Internet section.
  • Next, scroll down and look for “Network Reset” under the status pane.
  • After that, click on Network Reset and then on Reset now to start resetting the network configuration. Once done, check if it is able to fix the error or not.

Fixing the Machine Check Exception Blue Screen Error in Windows 10
BSOD or Blue Screen of Death errors are one of the toughest issues you can encounter in Windows 10 as well as the hardest ones to resolve as they simply shut the system down or restart it abruptly and claims that it isn’t possible to boot Windows again. One of the difficult BSOD errors is the Machine Check Exception BSOD error. The reason why it is hard to fix is that in most cases, it occurs soon after Windows loads which gives users little to no time in resolving it. To make things worse, the system also freezes right before it displays the blue screen error and shuts the system down. Usually, the Machine Check Exception Stop error occurs due to the failure or overstressing of the hardware components. And in the case of almost all Blue Screen of Death errors, the issue usually has something to do with the drivers. So if you frequently see this BSOD error from time to time, now’s the time to act on it by following the solutions given in this post.

Option 1 – Update the Device drivers

  • Tap the Win + R keys to launch Run.
  • Type in devmgmt.msc into the box and tap Enter or click OK to open the Device Manager.
  • After that, a list of device drivers will be displayed. Look for the device driver you and then select either “Update driver” or “Uninstall device”. And if you find any “Unknown device”, you need to update it as well.
  • Select the “Search automatically for updated driver software” option and then follow the instructions to complete the process.
  • If you have chosen to uninstall the driver, follow the screen options to complete the process and then restart your PC.
  • Connect the device and Scan for hardware changes – you can see this option under Device Manager > Action.

Option 2 – Try running the Blue Screen Troubleshooter

The Blue Screen troubleshooter is a built-in tool in Windows 10 that can be found on the Settings Troubleshooters page. To use it, refer to these steps:
  • Tap the Win + I keys to open the Settings panel.
  • Then go to Update & Security > Troubleshoot.
  • From there, look for the option called “Blue Screen” on your right-hand side and then click the “Run the troubleshooter” button to run the Blue Screen Troubleshooter and then follow the next on-screen options. Note that you might have to boot your PC into Safe Mode.

Option 3 – Try running the System File Checker

System File Checker or SFC is a built-in command utility that helps in restoring corrupted files as well as missing files. It replaces bad and corrupted system files with good system files that might be causing the Machine Check Exception BSOD error. To run the SFC command, follow the steps given below.
  • Tap Win + R to launch Run.
  • Type in cmd in the field and tap Enter.
  • After opening Command Prompt, type in sfc /scannow
The command will start a system scan which will take a few whiles before it finishes. Once it’s done, you could get the following results:
  1. Windows Resource Protection did not find any integrity violations.
  2. Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files and successfully repaired them.
  3. Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files but was unable to fix some of them.

Option 4 – Run the Startup Repair

In the Blue Screen where the Machine Check Exception error is displayed, tap the F8 key to go to the Startup Settings where you can find Startup Repair and then run it. Note that this is a must-try option especially if you are unable to start your computer and if you can use your computer for a few moments.

Option 5 – Run the DISM tool

There are cases when the Machine Check Exception error is caused by the Windows System Image so you need to repair it using the DISM or Deployment Imaging and Servicing Management tool. The DISM tool is another command-line tool in the Windows operating system that could help users fix various corrupted system files. To use it, follow these steps:
  • Open the Command Prompt as admin.
  • Then type in this command: Dism /Online /CheckHealth
  • Do not close the window if the process takes a while as it will probably take a few minutes to finish.

Option 6 – Try resetting the BIOS

If you have made some modifications in the BIOS that might have caused this error, you have to revert those changes to resolve the issue. On the other hand, if you have made a couple of changes and you do not remember which is which, you might have to reset the BIOS.

Option 7 – Try resetting Windows 10

To fix this BSOD error, you can try resetting Windows 10. Doing so won’t get rid of any file in your system – instead of erasing all your media files and documents, this reset option resets all the system settings and files.

Configure Windows 10 to create Dump Files on Blue Screen of Death
If your Windows PC encounters an error, it will display a Blue Screen of Death or BSOD error which usually comes up for a fraction of second and creates some logs or Dumps Files as what other user prefers to call it and then boots your PC suddenly. This process usually takes place quickly that most users find it hard to get the error code and won’t probably be able to check what really went wrong with their PCs. This is where the dump files come in. They are stored internally in your computer and can only be accessed by an administrator. They are classified into 4 main types and in Windows 10 they are either:
  1. Complete Memory Dump
  2. Kernel Memory Dump
  3. Small Memory Dump (256 KB)
  4. Active Memory Dumps
Dump Files are useful as they could help you in resolving the problem and so you need to configure your Windows 10 PC to create them but first, you need to make a system restore point. This is essential as you are about to modify some system files as well as critical Windows 10 settings. There are two ways you can create Dump files – first is by modifying the settings in the Startup and Recovery and lastly is via the WMIC command line. Refer to the instructions prepared below to be guided on how you can create Dump files after any BSOD error using these options.

Option 1 – via Startup and Recovery

  • Type in “control panel” in the Cortana Search box and then click on Control Panel from the search results to open it.
  • After opening Control Panel, you need to make sure that you view the contents by their Category then click on the header link which is labeled “System and Security” or you could also right-click on the This PC icon and then click on Properties.
  • Next, select the Advanced system settings from the left panel. Once you do, a new and small window will pop up.
  • Under the newly opened window, look for the section called Startup and Recovery and then click on the Settings button.
  • And from the System Failure section, you can choose any option from the drop-down for Write debugging information such as:
    • None – this means that there is no dump file created by Windows
    • Small Memory Dump – this means that Windows will create a Minidump file on BSOD
    • Complete Memory Dump – this means that Windows will create a Complete Memory Dump file on BSOD
    • Automatic Memory Dump – this means that Windows will create an Automatic Memory Dump file on BSOD
    • Active Memory Dump – this means that Windows will create an Active Memory Dump file on BSOD
Note: The complete dump needs a page file that is allowed to be the size of the physical memory installed in your PC with a dedicated 1 MB of space for just the page header.
  • Now once you have selected the most suitable option for you, just click on OK/Apply and then exit.
  • Restart your PC to successfully apply the changes made.

Option 2 – via the WMIC command line

  • The first thing you need to do to create Dump files via the WMIC command line is to tap the Win + X keys combination or simply right-click on the Start button and then select the Command Prompt (Admin) option. You could also type in “cmd” in the Cortana search box and then right-click on Command Prompt from the results and select Run as administrator.
  • After that, type in any of the commands given below depending on your preferences so that your Windows 10 PC will be configured to create Dump Files:
    • No dump file: wmic RECOVEROS set DebugInfoType = 0
    • Small Memory Dump: wmic RECOVEROS set DebugInfoType = 3
    • Kernel Memory Dump: wmic RECOVEROS set DebugInfoType = 2
    • Complete Memory Dump: wmic RECOVEROS set DebugInfoType = 1
    • Automatic Memory Dump: wmic RECOVEROS set DebugInfoType = 7
    • Active Memory Dump: wmic RECOVEROS set DebugInfoType = 1
Note: A complete dump has to have a Page file which is allowed to be the size of the physical memory installed on your PC accompanied by a 1 MB space for just the page header.
  • Now type in “exit” in the Command Prompt to exit it.
  • Restart your PC to apply the changes made successfully.

  • Now click OK to clean the disk and restart your computer.
If the Disk Cleanup tool didn’t help in resolving the issue, refer to the instructions below. Step 1: In the search box, type “color management” and then select the “Change advanced color management settings for display” option from the search results. Or you could simply go to Settings > System > Display, Advanced display settings, and from there, select display and click on the Display adapter properties of Display. Step 2: Next, switch to the Color Management tab and click on the Color Management button. Step 3: Select the monitor where you’re getting the “Windows Photo Viewer can’t display this picture because there might not be enough memory available on your computer” error in the next window. And if you have two displays, make sure that you select the primary display. You also have an option to identify the monitor. Step 4: Once confirmed, select the “Use my settings for this device” checkbox. Step 5: After that, select the Profile listed under the “Profiles associated with this device” option and then click on Remove. Step 6: Next, go to the Advanced tab and make sure that all settings are set to System default which includes a device profile, perceptual images, rendering intent, Relative Colorimetric, and many more. Step 7: Once you’re done, you have to restart your computer and then try to open the same image you were trying to open earlier and then check if you can now open it instead of seeing the error.

Photos app Export or Share is not working
The Photos app in Windows 10 is the default photo viewer. However, there are times when it might encounter some problems while you use it. One of these problems in the Photos app reported recently is where users try to export or share the images and videos from the app but weren’t successful in doing so. This can be really quite a hassle in opening images on your computer, especially since the Photos app is the default photo viewer in Windows 10 and if you don’t have any other photo viewer app installed. This kind of problem in the Photos app can be noticed when you try to use the “Remix” function for both photos and videos. In other words, this problem can occur with just pictures, videos, as well as a combination of both. So if you are trying to watch a video using this app, then you wouldn’t be able to play it. In such a case, the only thing you can hear is the audio but you wouldn’t see anything except for a hazy purple screen that has not export or share option. There are several possible causes for this problem and it could be fixed by updating the display driver/graphics driver or disabling the hardware-accelerated video encoding. You could also try updating or resetting or reinstalling the Photos app. For more details, follow each one of the suggestions provided below.

Option 1 – Try to update the Graphics driver

You can try to update your Graphics card driver using the Device Manager in your computer to resolve the blank dialog boxes problem or you can also go directly to the website of your graphics card manufacturers like NVIDIA, Intel, or AMD and go to the section called Drivers then check if there’s a new available update – if there is, download and install it. To update your Graphics driver via Device Manager, refer to these steps:
  • First, boot your computer into Safe Mode.
  • After that, tap the Win + R keys to launch Run.
  • Type in msc into the box and tap Enter or click OK to open the Device Manager.
  • After that, a list of device drivers will be displayed. From there, look for the Display Adapters and click on them.
  • After that, right-click on each entry under the Display Adapters and select the “Uninstall Device” option from the menu.
  • Now restart your computer.
  • After restarting your computer, go to the Settings app and Check for Updates in the Windows Update section.

Option 2 – Try disabling the hardware-accelerated video encoding

The next thing you can do to fix the problem is to disable the hardware-accelerated video encoding in your computer. To do that, follow these steps:
  • Open the Photos app and click on the visible three dots located in the upper right corner of the app and then select Settings.
  • From there, you should see the version number of the app in the “About this app” section. So if your app is version 2018.18071.****0.0 or greater, you should see the Video section which has a toggle button.
  • Turn that toggle button off to disable hardware-accelerated video encoding in the Photos app. This should fix the problem, if not, simply follow the next given options below.

Option 3 – Try to update the Microsoft Photos app

  • Open the Microsoft Store and click on the three horizontal dots for the menu located on the top right portion of the window to see the options.
  • Next, select Downloads and updates and then click the Get updates button in the top right. This will install any pending updates for all the apps including the Microsoft Photos app using the Microsoft Store.

Option 4 – Try resetting the Photos app

  • To get started in resetting the Photos app, open the Windows 10 Settings.
  • Then go to Apps > Apps & features.
  • After that, scroll down until you see the Photos app option – click on it and open its Advanced options.
  • From there, you will see the Reset button, click on it and click and then click on it once more to confirm.
Note: The process may take a couple of minutes to complete. Once it’s done, open the pictures again using the Photos app.

Option 5 – Try reinstalling the Photos app

If none of the options given above worked, then you might want to consider reinstalling the Photos app. Unlike what most users think, it isn’t really that hard reinstalling preinstalled apps as you have the Windows PowerShell for that. To use this program in reinstalling the Photos app, follow these steps:
  • Open the Windows PowerShell program with admin privileges and key in the following command:
Set-ExecutionPolicy Unrestricted
  • After that, execute this second command to re-register and reinstall the Microsoft Photos app.
Get-AppXPackage -AllUsers | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register "$($_.InstallLocation)AppXManifest.xml"}
Note: In the command given, do not forget to replace the “PackageFullName” with the actual package name for the Photos app. After executing the command, it will uninstall the Photos app from your computer so you need to install it again from the Windows Store by simply looking for it. Once you found it, just click on install to start the installation process.

Best graphic design software for 2022

2021 is nearing toward the end and with just a couple of days remaining in this year, we are happy to look forward to the next year. So in large anticipation of what will next year bring us, we are taking a good design look at this one and making a list for you of what graphic design software you should learn and use in the upcoming 2022.

graphic design softwareBefore we dive into it in more detail and predictions please be aware that this article is based upon my personal opinion drawn from the research of current trends and standards. That being said let's dive right into details.

Adobe Photoshop

Whether you like it or not, Adobe has cemented itself with its flagship application Photoshop and how things are looking this situation will not change any time soon. Photoshop is an extraordinary pixel manipulation software that has the ability to work with both animations and vector graphics as well making it a great single application for all-around design needs. It has been industry-standard design software for the web, print, and all other kinds of design all over the globe and this will not change in near future. With its constant updates and expansion of its abilities, this is a must-have tool in your design tool belt. If you are looking to find work as a designer you will have to know how to work with photoshop.

Adobe illustrator

Many will tell you that is photoshop for raster graphics, the illustrator is for vectors. First started as illustrator 88 on Mac right away it took first place for vector graphics from FreeHand and it continued on its path of vector dominance. After some time and more integration with photoshop Adobe managed to overthrow Corel Draw as well winning the title for best vector editing software with illustrator. Same as with photoshop, if you are planning to work in a serious industry you will need to know the illustrator.

Adobe InDesign

We are still in Adobe train and it is moving hard, InDesign is graphic design software aimed for paper publications. If you need to create and prepare any kind of professional publication for printing InDesign is the application to go to. With its specific print aimed features it is a must-have for any graphic designer.

Corel Draw Graphic Suite

Once the king of vector and print design but dethroned by Adobe Corel Draw still has some punches to stay relevant in the field. With some cool features like symmetry and long shadows, it stands out from its competitors for its ease of use. Corel was always focused on easy to learn, and difficult to master and it is still following that kind of thinking. Granted not many employers will require you to be a master of Corel Draw but some of them will request that you are familiar with the application. One of perhaps the greatest advantages of Corel over Adobe is not locking you into a subscription making Draw suit a great choice for freelancers and designers that want to own software, not rent it.

Affinity Designer

The first software from Affinity was Photo, made as a cheap version one-time purchase competitor for photoshop. Later it has released Designer, also a one-time purchase competitor for illustrators. If we are going to take a good look into a feature for feature comparison, both Adobe and Corel will win over Affinity but if we take a look at a price that is a one-time purchase Affinity will win over easily. Priced only at $54.99 it is a steal, and taking into account that many designers will not require any very advanced features found in Corel or Adobe applications Affinity is the way to go.

Inkscape & GIMP

Speaking of price, nothing beats free, and both Inkscape and GIMP are completely free. offering very decent and competitive features applications will require you to get used to their own specific UI and workflow, but once you get a grasp of them, you will be able to do most design work in them. One of the downsides of using these free open source apps is their limited export options but if all that is required from you is to deliver a typical SVG, JPG, EPS, PNG, or PDF file you are good to go.

Colorcinch

Free with basic functionality with the option to purchase more advanced features Colorcinch is a great application if you are on quickly developing and creating graphics for social media posts. Add quickly text or filters, quickly do the color adjustment and save for social apps. The application also within its basic boundaries can work directly on the website without you requiring to even install it making it one of a kind. Go try it at the official site and enjoy yourself.

Conclusion

If you have followed the graphic design scene you will notice that nothing has changed and it will not change in near future. This just speaks about how much industry is defined and how little change is there over time. I advise if you can to get and learn adobe suite since it is industry standard and is required from almost every employer today. Rest applications on the list are great alternatives and can bring you income and offer you a way to finish your project.
