• Next, select Hardware and Devices from the list and open the Troubleshooter and run it. Once it is doing its job, wait for it to complete the process and then restart the system.
• After the system restarts, check if the problem’s now fixed. If not, refer to the next option given below.

Note: You could also try to run the USB troubleshooter as it could also resolve the problem.

Option 2 – Try to use a USB hub

If you’ve encountered the error on a specific device, then it is possible that the device requires more voltage. To fix this error, you can try to use the same device on another computer and if you still got the same error, you might want to use a USB hub that comes with its power source. USB hubs come with high-speed charging ports that should be able to supply the power needed for the device.

Option 3 – Update, rollback or reinstall the Universal Serial Bus Controller driver

If updating the drivers of the device did not fix the “The device is not ready” error, you can try to update, rollback, or reinstall the Universal Serial Bus Controller drivers instead of using the Device Manager. Refer to the following steps:

• First, click the Start button and type “device manager”.
• Then click on the “Device Manager” from the search results to open it.
• From there, look for the “Universal Serial Bus controllers” option and then right-click on each one of the USB drivers and select the Update Driver from the menu.

Note: If it is a regular USB drive, then it will be listed as a USB Mass Storage Device but if you have a USB 3.0 device, then look for a USB 3.0 Extensible Host Controller.

• Restart your PC and then click the “Search automatically for updated driver software” option.

Note: If updating the USB Controller drivers didn’t work, you can try to reinstall them instead.

Option 4 – Try running OEM Diagnostics if you have any

If the laptop or desktop computer you are using is a branded one, OEMs usually include software to diagnose issues in the computer like the USB port error. So if you have this software, try to run it for diagnosis and use any given suggestions to fix the error.

Microsoft store is ready and prepared for Windows 11 official release on October 5^th and it is coming with some surprises. Interesting information has come out from Microsoft, Windows 11 dark theme will include a different sound theme from its standard light one. When in dark mode on Windows 11, the system sounds generally become softer, and they echo a bit, creating a more soothing experience that matches the overall look and feel of the dark mode. Flipping back to light mode brings the system sounds back to their normal level. However, even though the light model has slightly louder sounds than the dark mode, Microsoft has taken great care to make sure the audio is more soothing, according to a report from CNBC. The designers of Windows 11 took inspiration from an approach called calm technology. Microsoft’s Christian Koehn and Diego Baca wrote about calm technology in a post on Medium. In it, they said, “Windows 11 facilitates this through foundational experiences that feel familiar, soften formerly intimidating UI, and increase emotional connection.” According to a Microsoft spokesperson in a statement to CNBC, “The new sounds have a much rounder wavelength, making them softer so that they can still alert/notify you, but without being overwhelming.”

In the latest news, Microsoft has reached a deal to purchase Activision Blizzard for 67.8 billion. Now franchises like Warcraft, Starcraft, Overwatch, Call of duty, Diablo are now the property of Microsoft and I am sure that some of these games we can expect to be included in the Xbox game pass. This is the second large game company acquisition by Microsoft, Acquiring Bethesda first and a big hit to Sony since Xbox will now have more games in its catalog and as exclusives. Of course, the sale has to go through the standard closing conditions and completion of regulatory review and Activision Blizzard’s shareholder approval before it’s finalized. Assuming that all goes well, the deal is slated to be completed during the fiscal year 2023, which is July 1, 2022, through June 30, 2023.

If you got an Activation Error 0xC004F211 after having installed or upgraded your Windows 10 PC, then this indicates that some hardware in your computer has changed which’s causing the error to pop up. Windows might not be able to determine if the key is used on a new computer or if it’s still the same one if you have just removed or upgraded old hardware. In addition, there is an exception offered by Microsoft – if you are connected to a Microsoft account prior to the hardware change, then you can most certainly use the same license key to reactivate Windows 10 again. Microsoft calls this an “Exception path” which should be fixed easily by the Windows Activation Troubleshooter as pointed out earlier. However, if the Windows Activation Troubleshooter isn’t able to resolve the error you can try purchasing a new license. In such rate case, even if you do have a Microsoft account available on your Windows 10 computer, and if Windows was never activated, this solution will not work. And if you haven’t connected your Microsoft account with your Windows 10 computer prior to the major hardware change, then your only option left is to purchase a new license. For you to do that here are some steps you can follow.

• To purchase a new Windows license, the first thing you have to do is click on the Start button > Settings > Update & Security.
• From there, go to Activation and select the “Go to Microsoft Store” option.
• After receiving your new license, you need to go back to Update & Security then go to Activation and select the “Change product key” option.
• Now update your Windows 10 computer using the new key and it should automatically activate your computer.
• Next, you have to create a Microsoft account or connect your existing local account to your online account.
• Once the system links the key and the account, you need not buy a new license in case something like this happens again.

Note: If you are an IT administrator, you need to keep in mind that there is a limit to the number of times you can reactivate Windows on your computer. Moreover, if you don’t see any option to reactivate the license, and it is a work computer, you need to contact your organization’s tech support.

PC Optimizer Pro is a PC optimizer utility developed by Xportsoft Technologies. It is classified as a potentially unwanted program, due to its aggressive scan and registration reminders, and that it is often distributed bundled with other programs in a manner that leads many users to not know how it got on their computer. While not inherently malicious, PC Optimizer Pro adds numerous registry keys, startup entries and while running consumes a relatively high amount of system resources, especially during its scans. The software installs from a .exe file that is around 5.20 MB or 5.453.240 Bytes (depending on the version). As of the publication of these videos, the current version of PC Optimizer Pro was detected as malicious or potentially unwanted by at least 21 AntiViruses.

Technical Details and Manual Removal (Advanced Users)

• Tap the Win + R keys to open the Run dialog box and type “Regedit” in the field and hit Enter to open the Registry Editor.
• After that, go to this registry path: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESYSTEMCurrentControlSetServices
• Next, look for two registry keys named “Winsock” and “Winsock2” and then right-click on each one of them and select the Export option.
• Now copy the registry keys to a USB drive and then copy the keys on the PC in excellent condition.
• Then double click on each one of them and it will install the WINSOCK keys.

As you know, Windows 10 comes with a pre-packed feature that allows you to rotate the screen at different angles, and to facilitate this feature, there are keyboard shortcuts you can use as well. However, from time to time, no matter how useful this feature is, users still experience a handful of issues. One of which is that they suddenly find their screen rotated or Upside Down even when they didn’t do a thing or adjust the setting. You may have pressed the shortcut on the keyboard by accident or some other program changed the setting on your computer without your permission – whichever the case is, this post will show you what you can do to fix the upside-down screen on your Windows 10 PC using the options laid out below.

Option 1 – Try using hotkeys

As mentioned earlier, Windows have hotkeys in the UI that changes the orientation of the display. So the first thing you need to do is to make sure that these hotkeys are enabled and if they are, you can use the keyboard shortcut to adjust the orientation of your screen.

• Right-click on an empty part of your Desktop and then select the Graphic options.
• Next, select “Hot Keys” > “Enable”. After verifying that the hotkeys are enabled, you can tap the Ctrl + Alt + Up arrow keys to change your computer screen’s orientation.
• Alternatively, you can also tap the Ctrl + Alt + Right or Left or Down arrow keys to change the direction the other way.

Option 2 – Try using the Graphics Properties

You will probably see the “Graphics Properties” option if you use the Intel HD Graphics every time you click on your Desktop. Note that this option has all the graphics driver properties and helps you in changing the configurations as well as control several options like refresh rate, resolution, color-depth and many more. You have to navigate to these options to see if the orientation is changed in these properties. To do so, follow the steps below.

• Right-click on any empty space on your Desktop and then select Graphics Properties or Intel Graphics Settings.
• After that, select Display from the list of sub-options that appears.
• From there, you will see the rotation of the screen under the “Display settings” option where you have to make sure that the slider is set to “0”.
• Click the Apply button to save the changes made and then click on Exit. The orientation of your screen should automatically change.

Option 3 – Try using the Windows Display Settings

Since the Windows Settings have a section where you can manage the display settings of your computer, you can use them to help control the resolution of your PC’s display without any trouble. There is a possibility that the settings are changed there so that’s probably why your screen is turned upside down all of a sudden.

• Tap the Win + S keys to open search and then type in “settings” in the field and then hit Enter to open Settings.
• After opening Settings, click on System and then on Display using the left navigation bar and then scroll to the end and select the Advanced display settings.
• Next, click on the Display adapter properties and click on Intel HD Graphics control panel.
• Now change the rotation to 0 Degrees. Afterward, the display should revert back to its original form automatically.

Option 4 – Check your monitor’s physical controls

There are monitors that have buttons in them that allows users to shift the rotation of the screen to 90 degrees. It could be that your monitor has these buttons without you knowing and you suddenly pressed them by mistake which caused your screen to rotate. Thus, you have to check your monitor for any physical buttons on the side and if you see a menu, navigate to its options and check if there are screen rotation options. To make it easier for you, you can simply search your monitor’s model online and see if these buttons exist. You could also go over your monitor’s manual if you still have it as it contains details with regards to screen rotation.

Option 5 – Update your Graphics drivers

• Tap the Win + R keys to open the Run dialog box and then type in devmgmt.msc and tap Enter or click OK to open the Device Manager.
• Expand the section for the outdated device drivers.
• And then select the outdated driver(s) and right-click on it/them.
• From the drop-down menu, select the Update Driver option if you wish to update the driver or select the Uninstall device if you want to uninstall the driver and then follow the on-screen instructions to install the latest version of the driver.
• Restart your PC after the installation to allow the system to reinstall the driver.
