If you are using File Explorer but suddenly encountered an error saying, “No such interface supported”, read on as this post will guide you on how to fix the problem. This kind of error occurs due to the corruption in the system files which supports several tasks in the system that works with the Windows File Explorer process or File Explorer. This kind of error can give you a hard time in browsing the files on your computer, or when you open important utilities like the Control Panel, or when you copy files and other inconveniences. Needless to say, it won’t bring you any productivity at all and can only leave you frustrated. To fix this problem, there are several options you can try. You can try to run the System File Checker scan or the DISM tool. You could also try to re-register the potentially corrupted DLL files or fix the User Profile. For more details, refer to each one of the given options below.

Option 1 – Try to run System File Checker

System File Checker or SFC is a built-in command utility that helps in restoring corrupted files as well as missing files. It replaces bad and corrupted system files to good system files that might be the cause why you’re getting the errors 0x8024a11a and 0x8024a112. To run the SFC command, follow the steps given below.

• Type “cmd” in the Start search and then right-click on the appropriate search result.
• Next, select “Run as administrator” to open Command Prompt with admin privileges.
• After opening Command Prompt, type in sfc /scannow

The command will start a system scan which will take a few whiles before it finishes. Once it’s done, you could get the following results:

1. Windows Resource Protection did not find any integrity violations.
2. Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files and successfully repaired them.
3. Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files but was unable to fix some of them.

• Now restart your computer and see if the problem is fixed or not.

Option 2 – Try to fix the User Profile

The next thing you can do to fix the problem is to fix the User Profile. All you have to do is migrate to a new User Profile in Windows 10 by creating a new User Account and migrating all your personal files from the current user profile folder in the C:/Users location to the new user profile folder which is also located in the same folder.

Option 3 – Run the DISM tool

You can try running the Deployment Imaging and Servicing Management or DISM tool to fix the “No such interface supported” error. Using this built-in tool, you have various options such as the “/ScanHealth”, “/CheckHealth”, and “/RestoreHealth”.

• Open the Command Prompt with admin privileges.
• Then type in the following commands and make sure to hit Enter right after you type each one of them:
  • Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /CheckHealth
  • Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /ScanHealth
  • exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth
• Do not close the window if the process takes a while as it will probably take a few minutes to finish. Once it’s done, restart your computer.

Option 4 – Try to re-register the problematic DLL file

You may have to re-register the ntdll.dll file using the regsvr32.exe before you can successfully install the program and fix the error. The Regsvr32 tool is a command-line utility that can be used to register and unregister OLE controls like DLL and ActiveX (OCX) controls in the Windows operating system. Follow the steps below to use it.

• Open Command Prompt as admin from the WinX menu.
• Next, type the following command in the elevated Command Prompt and hit Enter to execute it. This will re-register the affected DLL file using the Windows operating system tool, regsvr32.exe.

regsvr32 c:windowssystem32actxprxy.dll

• After you execute the given command, you should see a message saying, “DllRegisterServer in vbscript.dll succeeded” if the Regsvr32 tool was able to run successfully. If it didn’t work, you can try to execute this command instead: FOR /R C: %G IN (*.dll) DO "%systemroot%system32regsvr32.exe" /s "%G"
• Once it’s done, restart your computer.

In case you don’t know, the .Net Framework is a programming infrastructure introduced by Microsoft. You will need it to run on lots of services and applications. Note that most of the applications that require the .Net Framework are packed with their installation files which is why it will be installed automatically on your computer when you install an application. However, there are instances when you’ll get an error message saying, “The .NET Framework 4.7 is not supported on this operating system” while trying to install the .NET Framework as a standalone service. The very reason why this error message appears is stated in the error message itself. Although the .Net Framework is supported on Windows 10, it is not actually compatible with some other Windows 10 versions. So it is most likely that you are seeing this error message because the .Net Framework in your computer is not compatible with the Windows 10 version you are running. Since that’s the case, you need to update Windows 10 to fix the problem. Updating your Windows 10 computer is the only solution you can try to fix this problem. Thus, it is advised that you check for Windows Updates even if you are now using the latest version of Windows 10. And since the issue is caused by an incompatible operating system version, once you install the exact version of Windows 10 required by the .Net Framework, the problem will be fixed. Simply follow the steps given below to do so.

• Step 1: Tap the Win + R keys to open the Run dialog box.
• Step 2: After that, type in “winver” in the field and tap Enter.
• Step 3: Next, your Windows 10 version should be given in the new window that appears. Take note that the number after the Version which is in the second line is your version number of Windows 10. And that the number must be 1507 or 1709. The first two digits in these numbers are the year while the second two represent the month when the update was released. So if you are running a 1709 version, this means that the Windows 10 version you are using was released in September 2017.
• Step 4: The next thing you have to do is to make sure that you have the Windows 10 version that’s compatible with the .Net Framework. To verify, you need to click here and click on the System Requirements.

After opening the link, take a look at the Supported Operating System section where it says, “Windows 10 Anniversary Update” and “Windows 10 Creators Update”. Since there are users who are not familiar with the version numbers related to both the Anniversary and Creators updates, refer to the list given below.

• November Update (1511)
• Anniversary Update (14393)
• Creators Update (1703)
• Fall Creators Update (1709)
• Spring Creators Update (1803)

As you can see, the Creators Update has version 1703 while the Anniversary Update has version number 14393 so if you are using a version lower than the 14393 version then it’s no wonder you aren’t able to install the .Net Framework 4.7 on your Windows 10 PC. Now all that’s left to do is to update your Windows 10 version and make sure that you will be updating it to the latest version available and then try installing the .Net Framework again.

A number of users reported lately that their Windows 10 PCs automatically boots into the BIOS whenever they start their computers. And when they tried to exit the BIOS and restart their computers, it still boots into the BIOS. If you are one of the users who experience the same problem, worry not for this post will walk you through what you can do to resolve the problem. Each time a Windows 10 computer boots, it goes through a lot of processes and one of them is where it checks the computer for any hardware issue such as hard drives, peripherals, as well as external devices. In such cases, Pen Drives, USB storage devices, CDs, DVDs, and so on, are included in this category of physical device connections.

Option 3 – Try to set a proper boot device

If the Boot Manager wasn’t able to locate a proper boot device, then it could be the reason why your computer boots into the BIOS when you turn it on. Thus, you have to check if there is an available proper boot device. You can usually find it under the Boot priority section. However, if you’re unable to locate your hard drive or SSD under the Boot device, then you have to change the hard drive but you have to check first if it is properly plugged in and that it works on other computers. If it works on other PCs, then the problem lies in the motherboard of your computer, and in that case, you have to consult its manufacturer.

Option 4 – Try to update the BIOS

Updating the BIOS can help you fix the issue but as you know, BIOS is a sensitive part of a computer. Even though it is a software component, the functioning of the hardware depends on it largely. Thus, you must be careful when modifying something in the BIOS. So if you don’t know much about it, it’s best if you skip on this option and try the other ones instead. However, if you are well-versed in navigating the BIOS, then follow the steps below.

• Tap the Win + R keys to open the Run dialog box.
• Next, type “msinfo32” in the field and press Enter to open System Information.
• From there, you should find a search field on the bottom where you have to search for the BIOS version and then press Enter.
• After that, you should see the developer and version of the BIOS installed on your PC.
• Go to your manufacturer’s website and then download the latest version of BIOS on your computer.
• If you are using a laptop, make sure that you keep it plugged in until you have updated the BIOS.
• Now double click on the downloaded file and install the new BIOS version on your computer.
• Now restart your computer to apply the changes made.

Note: If updating the BIOS didn’t help, you might want to consider resetting it instead.

Option 5 – Try resetting the BIOS/UEFI configuration

You might also want to reset the BIOS configuration which will lead to arranging the boot configuration since it is intended by the manufacturer. Note that this will get rid of any blockage in the boot process. All you have to do is take out the CMOS battery for a couple of seconds and then put it back again. After that restart, your computer and will be booted directly into Windows. Resetting the BIOS would also get rid of any password set for BIOS and you need to change your CMOS battery in case it didn’t work.

If you encounter an error code of 0xa0000400 while trying to upgrade your Windows 10 computer using the Windows 10 Upgrade Assistant or the Windows 10 Media Creation Tool, then you might find this post useful as it will guide you in resolving this problem. When you get this error, you will see the following error message:

“Something went wrong You can contact Microsoft support for help with this error. Here is the error code 0xa0000400.”

As you know, keeping your computer up to date with all the Windows Updates is important and is imperative especially if you are experiencing a couple of issues like the Windows Upgrade error 0xa0000400. At the time of writing, there is no specific cause that has been found for this error. However, there are some potential fixes that might help you. You can try to recreate the Windows 10 installation USB and get the ISO files or you could also get a newer version of the Windows Media Creation Tool, or turn off your internet connection at a specific time or run the Windows Update troubleshooter. For more details, refer to the options given below.

Option 1 – Try to recreate the Windows 10 installation USB

Recreating the Windows 10 installation USB might help in fixing the problem. You can use a USB drive to do so but make sure that it has a great read-write speed. Follow the steps below to recreate Windows 10 installation USB”

• Click this link and then click the Download Tool Now button.
• Next, click the “Use the tool to create installation media (USB flash drive, DVD, or ISO file)…” option and follow the next given instructions on the screen.
• Now select the ISO file option in step 5.
• After that, you should now have an ISO file.
• Next, go to the location where you’ve downloaded the ISO file.
• Then right-click on the Windows 10 ISO file and select the Open with option and then select File Explorer.
• Now click on “setup.exe” and follow the next instructions that appear on the screen. When asked, you have to select either Nothing (clean install) or Keep personal files only option. Take note that you must not select the “Keep personal files, apps, and Windows settings since it doesn’t really work.

Option 2 – Try turning off the Internet connection at a specific time

You might want to turn off your internet connection at a specific time. This option can be quite tricky so what you need to do is to disconnect the internet connection when the update is downloaded using the Windows Upgrade tool. It’s actually okay since all the files you need would be downloaded safely and the Windows Upgrade tool will be the one to install the newer updates using those files.

Option 3 – Try to get a newer version of the Windows Media Creation tool

You can also fix the Windows Upgrade error 0xa0000400 by using the latest version of the Windows Media Creation tool. And so if what you have is an older version, you need to update it in order to resolve the error and upgrade your Windows 10 computer.

Option 4 – Run the Windows Update Troubleshooter

Running the built-in Windows Update troubleshooter is one of the things you can first check out as it is known to automatically resolve any Windows Update or upgrade errors like error code 0x800701E3. To run it, go to Settings and then select Troubleshoot from the options. From there, click on Windows Update and then click the “Run the troubleshooter” button. After that, follow the next on-screen instructions and you should be good to go.

Option 5 – Try running Disk Cleanup

You might want to run the Disk Cleanup utility as it is a useful tool that could delete temporary and useless files in your computer.

• Tap the Win + R keys to open the Run dialog box and then type “cleanmgr” in the field and hit Enter to open the Disk Cleanup window.
• After that, select the drive you want to clean.
• Now click OK to clean the disk and restart your computer.

Outlook 2013

Well, they do and Microsoft has released some sneak peeks and previews of their new Outlook, Outlook 2013! This is probably to get consumers ready for when it comes out next year; people are going to be getting excited about this new makeover that Microsoft Office, with Outlook, has given itself, people from Microsoft even saying it is ‘the most ambitious’ version of Office yet! The new orange color scheme and logo design look promising enough for the consumer without even checking the new features and special things that have been revealed about it yet!

Outlook 2013 Features

The best part of this new Outlook is that you can move widgets around in it. If you don’t like the fact that your inbox is placed over your outbox, you can move it- simple as that! It will be really handy for people who like messing around with layouts and will also be handy for people who tend to overlook things at the bottom of the pile like spam and trash if they can move them to a more noticeable location for themselves. Another great thing is that the new Microsoft Office that Outlook comes with has a cool new stylus option, allowing you to personalize things with your own handwriting or even drawings. This can then be used as your email signature on Outlook which can give a really nice and personal feel to the emails you are sending. Another new thing is their labeling of drafts. Like Gmail, Google’s own email service, a red-lettered ‘draft’ will now appear over composing messages you have not yet sent.

This is handy because you know where your message has been saved as opposed to how it could be saved in your outbox or be sent to the trash. Also, there are new links with Facebook that allow you to see what your friends are doing through Outlook. You can also converse with Facebook friends through Outlook now, which is a big step forward in this age of social media. You can get an email from a person and, at a click of a button, also read all their Facebook posts. However, there is not an option for Twitter or Tumblr or even Myspace, which is a shame I suppose, but maybe in the next update. So, I think Outlook 2013 will be worth looking at, don’t you?

TPM 2.0 requirement for Windows 11 has produced a lot of discussions since it was announced. A lot of somewhat older hardware seems to be left behind with this decision from Microsoft. So naturally, when something like this is announced, especially when it is stated it is the must-have thing, people find a way to break it and to prove it is not the case. In that spirit, I am proud to present you with not one but three-way you can install Windows 11 on hardware that does not has TPM 2.0. Please note that by bypassing this you will not be able to use some Windows 11 features tied to modules like Device encryption, vTPM in Hyper-V, and all TPM-related services. I will cover methods from the most simple and straightforward ones to the more complicated using registry editor.

Bypass TPM with changing installation media

For this method to work you will need both Windows 10 ISO and Windows 11 ISO since it will require some file copying between them. You will also need Rufus or another tool to make a new installation media once files are copied All you have to do in this method is to go into your Windows 10 ISO and delete the install.esd, then just copy install.wim from Windows 11 installation media into the same place, and you are done. Make install ISO with Rufus and install Windows 11.

Change DLL on installation media method

For this method, you will need everything like in the previous one and the process is almost the same, but this time instead of migrating the whole installation file, we will just replace the appraiserres.dll file. Copy appraiserres.dll file from your Windows 10 installation media over the same file on Windows 11 installation and you are good to go.

Bypassing TPM via registry editor

If for some reason previous easy solutions have not worked for you do not lose hope just yet, there is one more way you can bypass TPM. In this given method you will not need Windows 10 installation media but the process is a little more complicated than previous ones.

1. Create Windows 11 media installation
2. Start the installation process
3. Click the Next button.
4. Select region, language, and time when asked. You can change these settings later.
5. Click the Install now button.
6. If your device was already activated, click the I don’t have a product key option to continue.
7. Click the Next button. Select the edition of Windows. When you’re installing the OS on an existing device, Windows won’t activate if you select the incorrect edition.
8. Click the Next button.
9. Select the I accept the license terms option and click next.
10. Select Custom: Install Windows only (Advanced)
11. During the Windows installation screen, now you will see a message stating that the PC can’t run Windows 11 if you do not have TPM 2.0
12. On this screen, press SHIFT + F10 to open Command Prompt window.
13. Launch the registry editor, type regedit.exe in Command Prompt, and press ENTER
14. Create a new key “LabConfig” by right-clicking on the Setup key and select New > Key under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\Setup.
15. Type LabConfig and press ENTER.
16. Right-click on the LabConfig key.
17. Select New > DWORD (32-bit) value.
18. Create two values: BypassTPMCheck and BypassSecureBootCheck.
19. Set their DWORD32 value to 1.
20. Press ENTER.
21. Close the Registry Editor.
22. Type exit in the Command Prompt and press ENTER or close its window.
23. Press the back button in the Windows installation setup if it still says “This PC can’t run Windows 11”.
24. Accept the terms & conditions.
25. Select Custom: Install Windows only (Advanced) option and configure the partition with the current installation.
26. Click the Next button.
27. Finish Windows 11 installation

Error Code 0x8007007b – What is it?

This error code occurs when users fail to activate their Windows operating system. It is one of the more popular Windows error codes since it affects many versions of Windows including Windows 7, Windows 8.1, and Windows 10. Error code 0x8007007b has common symptoms which include the following:

• Inability to activate a Windows installation
• Message box highlighting error code 0x8007007b

Solution

Error Causes

Error code 0x8007007b in Windows 8.1 usually results due to one or more main clauses. Windows 8.1 users may experience this error due to the use of volume-licensed media. The error code may also arise if the activation wizard is unable to connect to Key Management Service (KMS) host computer or if corrupted system files are present on your computer.

Further Information and Manual Repair

Windows error codes such as Error code 0x8007007b can be a complicated issue, requiring the use of technical knowledge and skills. For this reason, we have listed instructions in the simplest of forms to enable even average users to successfully complete manual repair methods that will resolve error code 0x8007007b.

Below are the two main methods for correcting this issue.

Method One: Use Multiple Activation Key (MAK) to Activate Windows

This method involves the use of a Multiple Activation Key (MAK) instead of the Key Management Service (KMS) to activate the Windows operating system you intend to use on your PC. This manual repair method requires the use of Command Prompt so ensure you follow the instructions provided carefully so as to avoid the risks of causing harm to your system.

• Step one: Select Windows log key + X.
• Step two: Click Command Prompt, then Admin
• Step three: Type in admin password if Command Prompt requests it
• Step four: Type slmgr -ipk followed by the MAK product key. Note that the product key should have 25 characters with dashes between them like this xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx

Attempt to activate your Windows installation once you’ve completed the exact instructions above. If you are unable to complete this process, consider getting help from a Windows repair technician or simply move to the next manual repair method listed below.

Method Two: Run System File Checker

System File Checker (SFC) enables Windows users to scan and repair errors or corruption on system files. Since such errors within your system files can cause error code 0x8007007b to occur, follow the steps below to fix this error code.

• Step One: Go to Start and type Command Prompt or CMD.
• Step Two: Run as Administrator
• Step Three: Type sfc /scannow with a space between “sfc” and “/scannow”.

The System File Checker tool will begin scanning your machine for corrupted or missing files in need of repair. If these files are found on your system, the tool will repair and replace them. Once this is done, restart your computer then check to see if you can now activate your Windows operating system.

Method Three: Use an Automated Tool

If you wish to always have at your disposal a utility tool to fix these Windows 8 and other related issues when they do arise, download and install a powerful automated tool.

If you recently upgraded your computer or if you’ve just switched to a new Windows 10 PC, the most common errors you might encounter are the Windows Activation errors. This issue boils down to the Windows Activation server which has either failed to validate or recognize the license tied to the digital account. In this post, you will be guided on how to fix an activation error in an organization with an error code 0x8007007B. It contains this exact error message: “We can’t activate Windows on this device as we can’t connect to your organization’s activation server. Make sure that you’re connected to your organization’s network and try again. If you continue having problems with activation, contact your organization’s support person. Error code 0x8007007B.” Various computers are activated via the KMS licensing (Key Management Server) in organizations. Computers that are activated using this process do not get a permanent activation and have to stay connected to the organization instead of for at least 7 months or 180 days. It is common in Pro and Enterprise versions that are deployed in bulk for at least hundreds or thousands of computers. So imagine a user with a personal computer in the office who decided to leave the organization but will still have an activated Windows key. And so to prevent that from happening, organizations use the KMS licensing. Another possible cause of the error is in case some user used an organization key and later on, the PC just got upgraded or downgraded to a version that is not compatible with that copy of Windows. To fix this Windows Activation error, here are some suggestions that might help.

Option 1 – You can try connecting to the organization’s network and activate the computer. But before that, you need to first check if the computer actually belongs to an organization or not.

• Tap the Win + R keys to open the Run dialog box.
• Type “cmd” and hit Enter to open an elevated Command Prompt.
• After that type the vbs /dlv command and hit Enter to execute it.
• Next, check if the Product Key Channel says “GVLK”. If it does, then it means that your computer was activated using volume licensing.

Option 2 – Change Licence Key

If you’ve recently left an organization then it’s best if you buy another copy of Windows 10 and then change the license key. This time, make sure that the license key is for the same version of Windows. However, if it’s different, you need to format your computer.

Option 3 – You can try activating Windows 10 using a mobile phone

Activating Windows 10 can also be done using your phone. Just note that you have to call Microsoft to do so.

• In the Start Search box, type in “Slui 4” and tap Enter.
• Next, select your country and click on Next.
• Keep the window open and call the toll-free number of the country you’re from.
• Afterward, a confirmation ID should be given by the automated system which you must take a note of.
• Finally, in the box on the window, type in the confirmation ID and click on the Activate button. That should do it.

Option 4 – If you think that the issue is caused by some hardware changes, you can try using the Activation Troubleshooter.

There are times when users already have the license keys and were able to activate Windows. However, it doesn’t last long and only works for a while and it’s suddenly throwing up an activation error like this one. To use the Windows Activation Troubleshooter, just go to Settings and to Activation and then run the troubleshooter from there. If you've made some modifications to your hardware, you have to click the “I changed hardware on this device recently” option for further suggestions.

Hardware requirements for DDR5

Using the latest memory technology will require other hardware to follow certain standards and the first ones that will need to follow are CPUs and Motherboards. Intel is already prepared with its Alder Lake CPUs that suppose to come out also later this year. AMD on other hand has not stated anything at the time of this writing but it is a bet that their next generation that will come in 2022 will have full support. It is speculated that bot companies and their respective CPUs will have both support for DDR4 and DDR5. A story about motherboards is a little different. Motherboards will support DDR4 or DDR5 memory banks, not both, so make sure that your motherboard will support the memory you plan on getting.

Capacity of memory

The goal and aim for the DDR5 memory stick are to reach a whopping 126GB per stack. This will be done by using a dual in-line module or DIMM enabling larger capacity. That being said, the first modules that we will see are more likely to be 16GB as standard and 8GB as low entry ones.

Power consumption of DDR5 memory

The standard voltage that DDR4 operates under is 1.2V. DDR5 wants to lower this to 1.1V without sacrificing speed. Voltage regulation on modules themselves will be now integrated on memory banks instead of leaving that to motherboards which will help to detect memory errors directly on the memory bank.

The most common speed of DD4 memory banks is 2,666MHz, more expansive ones go from 3,600 to 4,000MHz. DD5 aims to raise this bar to 4,800MHz and offers greater speed.

These are only some of the many infected apps available on the internet. Zimperium zLabs also warned that GriftHorse Trojan exists in over 70 countries worldwide. The infected app quickly changes the language and displays content depending on the user’s IP address.
