Installing components

GIT

Go to https://huggingface.co/CompVis/stable-diffusion#model-access and install the latest library (as of the writing of this article currently it is stable-diffusion-v1-4-original, the last one on the right), the library is almost 5GB in size so be prepared for big download.
Once downloaded click on the Windows start button and type in Miniconda3 and click on open. Create a folder and name it how you want on a drive of your choice. For this example, we will install it all in disk C under folder AI_art, follow the instructions below but use your own names and destination instead. Do not close Minicoda3 after typing commands!!!

mkdir AI_art
cd AI_art
Extract GitHub files that you have downloaded into your new folder and get back to Minicoda3 and type the next commands:
Let the whole process finish, some files are large and it might take a while. After the whole process is finished and completed, copy the checkpoint file that you have downloaded into: C:\AI_art\stable-diffusion-main\models\ldm\stable-diffusion-v1
After the file is copied rename it to model.ckpt and you are finished.
Running Stable Diffusion
The created environment is needed in order to actually use Stable Diffusion to create images. Each time you want to use it you will have to run it, so go into Miniconda3, and inside it type:

cd C:\AI_art\stable-diffusion-main
after we are inside the folder call the script with the parameters:
python scripts/txt2img.py --prompt "TXT DESCRIPTION OF IMAGE THAT YOU WANT TO CREATE" --plms --n_iter 5 --n_samples 1

Restart several times then try again.
Disable the General USB Devices in your machine like the Smart Card Reader.
If you use a SCSI hard disk, ensure that you have available drivers you can use as your storage such as a thumb drive, and ensure as well that it is connected. Once you’re on the Windows 10 setup, click on Custom Advanced Option then use the Load Driver command in order to load the right driver for the SCSI drive. If this fails, try switching to an IDE-based hard disk.
Once done, perform a clean boot then try restarting the device again.
If you are upgrading your system using the .ISO file, disconnect your device from the Internet during setup. If your device is connected to the Internet by LAN or Wi-Fi, you need to disable both first then proceed to set up again.
If you’re performing the update through Windows Update, disconnect from the Internet LAN or Wi-Fi once the download reaches 100% then proceed with the installation.
If this still does not work, you can try using the .ISO file in upgrading.
Switch to a local account if your machine is connected to a domain.
Disconnect all external devices attached to your machine including gaming controllers, external hard disk, USB keys, and printers.
If the above steps still do not work, you can try performing a repair by doing the following steps:
Put the installation disc into the disc drive. Afterward, boot the computer.
Once the message: “Press any key to boot from CD or DVD…” appears, press any key.
Choose a language, currency, time, and a keyboard or another input method. Click Next.
Click on Repair your computer
Select the operating system that you wish to repair then click Next
Open the Command Prompt by clicking it in the System Recovery Options dialog box.
Type BOOTREC /FIXMBR then hit Enter
Type BOOTREC /FIXBOOT then hit Enter
Type Drive:bootBootsect.exe /NT69 All then hit Enter

Solution if you can not log into windows due to repeating error
If an error repeats itself constantly and you are unable to boot into Windows itself you will need to prepare Windows boot USB. You can download the Microsoft media creation tool here and then use it to create a bootable USB with Windows 10.
Once the USB is done reboot your system and boot from USB. CHoose repair Windows instead of install and follow onscreen instructions.
Solution if you can log into Windows
If you can log into Windows bring up the command prompt in administrator mode and type in it SFC /SCANNOW followed by ENTER, wait for the whole operation to finish, and then reboot the system.
