How to Allow or deny Apps permissions

As you know, each one of the applications that you use in your Windows 10 computer has its own set of permissions by default. The user account information is part of the Privacy data in Windows 10 that you can control easily using the Settings app. In fact, you can revoke or grant access permission for your account information, all the users and specific applications to do that, follow each one of the instructions provided below carefully.

Allow or deny apps permission to account info for yourself:

Step_1: The first thing you have to do is open Settings. From there, select Privacy.

Step_2: After that, scroll and look for Account info and select it.

Step_3: Now turn off the toggle button for the “Allow apps to access your account info” option if you want to deny apps permission to your account info. But if you want to allow them access, simply turn the toggle button on. Keep in mind that when you allow access or permission, you can select which apps can access your picture, name, and other account info by simply using the settings on the page you’re currently in.

Now if you want to allow or deny apps to access your account info for all the users, here’s what you have to do:

Step_1: First, open Settings and click on the icon for Privacy.

Step_2: Next, scroll down until you see the Account info located on the left side and then click on it.

Step_3: After that, click on the Change button under the “Allow access to account info on this device” section. If you want to deny account info access for all other users, then turn the toggle button off. Doing so will automatically disable not just the account info access for all users but also for all the apps as well.

On the other hand, if you want to allow or deny account info access to specific apps, you can do so by following these steps:

Step_1: As you did earlier, go to Settings and click on the Privacy icon.

Step_2: After that, scroll down and select Account info located on the left side.

Step_3: Now turn on or off the toggle button under the “Choose which apps can access your account info” section if you want to deny or allow specific apps permission to access Account Info. If you’ve turned on the toggle button under the “Allow apps to access your account info”, all the apps get access permissions by default.

  • After that, set the radio button of Network Profile from Public to Private.

This Windows Security Policy, when enabled, will not allow non-admin users to log on to the Remote Desktop connection. So if you want to allow non-admin users to use the Remote Desktop connection, then you need to modify this policy. Note that you can only do that if you are the admin of the system yourself.
  • Tap the Win + R keys to open the Run utility.
  • Then type “secpol.msc” in the field and tap Enter or click OK to open the Local Security Policy.
  • After opening the Local Security Policy window, select Local Policies > User Rights Agreement located on the left pane.
  • Next, double click on “Allow log on through Remote Desktop Services” located in the right pane.
  • And in the next window that appears, select Add user or group.
  • After that, type in the username of the intended non-admin user under the “Enter the object names to select” column.
  • Once done, click on the Check Names button to fix the username and then click OK to save the changes made.
  • Restart your computer.

Option 5 – Use the Group Policy Editor

  • Tap the Win + R keys to open the Run dialog box and then type “gpedit.msc” in the field and tap Enter to open the Group Policy Editor.
  • Next, navigate to this path: Computer Configuration > Administrative Templates > System > Credentials Delegation.
  • Double click on the “Allow delegating default credentials with NTLM-only server authentication” policy setting located on the right pane to edit it.
  • After that, shift its radio button to Enabled and click on Show.
  • Then type “TERMSRV/*” in the Value box and click OK.
  • Now repeat the same for the following policy settings:
    • “Allow delegating default credentials”
    • “Allow delegating saved credentials”
    • “Allow delegating saved credentials with NTLM-only server authentication”
  • Once you’re done, restart your computer and see if the problem is fixed.

Option 1 – Check for any hard disk errors

  • On your desktop, right-click on the “This PC” or computer icon and then select Manage to open the Disk Management. Here you get to check your drive’s health.
  • Next, click on Disk Management on the left side panel.
  • From there, check the state of your drives. If it shows that all your partitions are healthy then it means all is good and that the problem may have something to do with some physical issues with your hard drive.

Option 2 – Run the CHKDSK utility

  • Now if you are prompted to run CHKDSK after your reboot your PC, just tap Y and reboot your PC.
  • If CHKDSK is not able to find any errors, tap the Win + E keys and navigate the access window. From there, right-click on the concerned drive and click on Properties.
  • After opening Properties, click on the tab Tools and then click on the “Check” button under the Error-checking section.
  • Wait until the process is completed and then restart your computer

Option 3 – Verify the hard drive using SMART attributes

In case you don’t know, Windows has a built-in feature of SMART analysis which analyzes the hard drive/SSD and checks all the parameters by performing some minor operations. To use it, follow these steps:
  • Tap the Win + S keys and type “command prompt” in the field then right-click on the related search result and select the “Run as administrator” option.
  • After opening Command Prompt as admin, type the “wmic disk drive get status” command and hit Enter.
  • You should get a result after that, and if you see that it’s “normal”, proceed to the next option below.

Option 4 – Format your hard disk

You can try formatting your drive since this problem also occurs on removable hard drives. In addition, if your drive is not properly initialized, this error will really pop up. Thus, you need to make sure that the hard drive is initialized and that the correct partition style is selected.

Option 1 – Get rid of any conflicting browser extensions
