The New and upcoming HAF 700 Evo from Coller master is a beast of a case, but so is its price. The case itself is still not released but as sources say it will be soon, well at least we hope so. The price will be around $500 which is a little on the expensive side of things but the features it is bringing are very impressive.

HAF 700 EVO Size and its advantages

HAF stands for High Airflow and with this case, you are going to get it but first let us talk about other characteristics of the case. Firstly case is ATX full tower, pretty big going 24.64 x 11.45. x 26.22 inches in size but like all full tower cases it can hold all motherboard types including Mini-ITX, Micro-ATX, ATX, E-ATX. The large case size also lets you place a pretty big GPU, going to 19.29 inches (490 mm) in its length covering currently all available Graphic cards on market.

Being a very big computer case is not just placing motherboard and big GPU, there are other great advantages of it, firstly that you can go wild with your CPU cooler, going all the way to 6.5 inches in cooler height will satisfy all users and having 12x 2.5 or 3.5-inch internal bays will. And if even that is not enough you have 8 expansion slots available.

Inside HAF 700 EVO

Inside the casing you will also find 2 front fans with 200mm diameter, 2 rear fans sized 120mm, and 1 bottom fan of 120mm. You can also manually mount standard 120mm fans on top of the case for maximum airflow.

Front panel and outsides

The front side is filled with 4x USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A (5 Gbps), 1X USB Type-C (up to 10Gbps), 3.5mm both headphone and audio jack along with a reset switch. Also, the circle in the very front is a hi-resolution LCD customizable display, you know, just to add more flavor and personal touch to the case. Fron is also filled with glass panels emitting RGB light.

Of course, you must also have a Tempered Glass Side Panel and well weight of 53.57 pounds (24.3 kg), yup you read that correctly, beside its hefty price tag this cooler master beast also is pretty heavy. Granted all of the weight comes from the glass front panel it is still a little hard on moving and taking out of the box.

This is also the case where you will not need a single screwdriver, everything is made to be assembled with your hands alone pushing easy assembly into the front row.

Conclusion

So in the end what are my thoughts about this expensive and heavy PC case? Would I recommend it? The answer to that question could depend really on your budget, let us be really honest here if you can afford it, YES, wholeheartedly I would recommend the case, it is great, it feels great, it looks great and the airflow is amazing. However, if you are tight on a budget, there are other great cases with excellent airflow and you might want to skip this one.

As you know, USB is now being widely used in all devices with USB A as the leading type with most devices based on it. Peripheral devices such as Pen Drives, External Hard disks, and many more also use a USB port. On the other hand, USB C is also coming up to be the next big standard in the computing world because of its high transfer speeds, wider compatibility as well as support for external Graphics Processing Units. However, just recently, USB 3.0 ports have been reported to cause the following error to pop up on Windows 10 computers every time a USB device is plugged in.

“Not enough USB controller resources. The controller does not have enough resources for this device.”

To fix this error, here are some guidelines you can check out. Make sure to follow them carefully.

Option 1 – Try to use a lower generation USB port

The first thing you can do is to try using a lower generation USB port as this issue mostly occurs when a device is connected to a USB 3,0 port. Option 3 – Try disabling the xHCI Mode option in the BIOS

• First, boot your computer into the BIOS.
• Once your computer has booted, go to the Advanced tab.
• Next, make sure that the entry for “xHCI Pre-boot mode” is set to Disabled under the USB Configuration section.
• Now save the changes you’ve made and then restart your computer to Windows 10 and see if the error is now fixed.

Option 4 – Update or reinstall the Universal Serial Bus Controller driver

Since it could be a driver issue, you can try to update or reinstall the Universal Serial Bus Controller drivers using the Device Manager. Refer to the following steps:

• First, click the Start button and type “device manager”.
• Then click on the “Device Manager” from the search results to open it.
• From there, look for the “Universal Serial Bus controllers” option and then right click on each one of the USB drivers, especially the Generic USB Hub driver, and then select the Update Driver from the menu.
• Restart your PC and then click the “Search automatically for updated driver software” option.

Note: If updating the USB Controller drivers didn’t work, you can try to reinstall them instead.

Option 5 – Run the Hardware and Devices Troubleshooter

You could also run the Hardware and device Troubleshooter to try and fix the “Not enough USB controller resources” error.

• The first thing you need to do is click on Start and then on the gear-like icon to pull up the window for Settings.
• After opening Settings, look for the Update and Security option and select it.
• From there, go to the Troubleshoot option located on the left-hand side of the list.
• Next, select Hardware and Devices from the list and open the Troubleshooter and run it. Once it is doing its job, wait for it to complete the process and then restart the system.
• After the system restarts, check if the problem’s now fixed. If not, refer to the next option given below.

If I was successful I have managed to show you that Windows Terminal is something that you should use even if you do not or cannot upgrade to Windows 11. You can use it inside Windows 10 also. If you see no improvement in solving Error 0x00000024, and the problem keeps persisting, then you should start over. But this time you should type sfc/scannow instead of chkdsk/f and hit return. • Tap the Win + X key combination or right-click on the Start button and click on the Windows PowerShell (Admin) option.
• If a User Account Control or UAC prompt appears, just click on Yes to proceed and open the Windows PowerShell window.
• Next, type in or copy-paste the following command to re-register the Microsoft Store app and tap Enter:

powershell -ExecutionPolicy Unrestricted Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register $Env:SystemRootWinStoreAppxManifest.xml

• Wait for the process to be completed and then restart your computer.

TPM or Trusted Platform Module version 2.0 is a must-have if you plan on upgrading your system to Windows 11. So what exactly is TPM and do you have it?

What exactly is TPM?

TPM is a tamper-resistant hardware technology tasked with generating and storing encryption keys inside it for better PC security. It can be remotely used to authenticate hardware and software by utilizing a unique endorsement key placed into the hardware itself. This technology can be used for example in BitLocker inside Windows in order to have data on a hard drive encrypted so if the mentioned drive is connected to another computer it would not be able to be accessed since the encryption key is stored in the TPM module. TPM itself is generally an OK idea and I can surely see good sides of it but there is this lurking feeling that generally, Microsoft is not really concerned about the security of our data and that the real requirement for this is trying to battle software piracy. I simply cannot trust company which introduced tons of telemetry tracking through ages and which has done everything in their power to battle non-legal use of their software. I do not promote piracy but I support free choice and besides, who can tell me what will happen if TPM malfunctions, will I lose all of my data forever? It is not so uncommon that TPM has malfunctioned in the past and it is only logical to presume it can do it again in the future but this time we will not have the choice not to use it, we will be forced into it.

There are times when you may find it hard to kill a particular process in the Windows Task Manager and every time you try to do so, you will only get an error message saying, “Unable to terminate the process, The operation could not be completed, Access is denied”. If you are one of the users who is constantly getting this error, read on as this post will provide you with a couple of options you can try to resolve the problem. Option 2 – Try using the WMIC

• Open Command Prompt as admin from the WinX Menu.
• From the Command Prompt window that opens, type in the following command and hit Enter to execute it:

wmic process where name='processname.exe' delete

Note: In the given command, you need to replace “processname.exe” with the name of the particular process you want to terminate which is found in the Details tab of the Windows Task Manager.

Option 3 – Try using PowerShell

• The first thing you have to do is open an elevated PowerShell prompt.
• From there, type in the following command and hit Enter to execute it:

kill -id pid

Note: In the given command above, “pid” is the Process ID number of the process you want to terminate. And for you to identify this number, you need to open the Details tab of the Windows Task Manager once again and take note of the number against the process you want to get rid of. Alternatively, you can also run the following command in the PowerShell prompt that you’ve pulled up to get the process ID number:

For example, “5364” is the process ID number for the DimScreen.exe process which is the process you want to terminate. In order for you to kill this process, you need to type in this command:

kill -id 5364
