• wuauclt /updatenow – use this command to start installing the updates detected.
• wuauclt /detectnow /updatenow – use this command to check, download and install updates.

Enter the following commands one by one to perform the /RestoreHealth switch using the source path location of good files you copied:

1. DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth /Source:repairSource install.wim
2. DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth /Source:repairSource install.wim /LimitAccess
3. DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth /Source:repairSource install.wim:1 /LimitAccess

For example purposes, the “repairSource” is the source of the good files.

The fltmgr.sys file or the Filter Manager is the one that’s responsible in making sure that all the file stored in a computer’s hard drive stays on their respective locations and is located in C:/Windows/System32/drivers. “0x8007001F-0x20006, The installation failed in the SAFE_OS phase with an error during REPLICATE_OC operation.”

  • net start wuauserv
  • net start cryptsvc
  • net start bits
  • net start msiserver
• Exit Command Prompt and then restart your computer.

Option 2 – Try to delete the Windows Update Cache

You might also want to delete the Windows Update cache since there are times when existing corrupt or incomplete Windows Update files can cause some problems in downloading and installing Windows Updates. To achieve this, simply delete the “$Windows.~BT” & “$Windows.~WS” folders in your computer. Once you’re done, try to run Windows Update again and see if the error is now fixed.
