What to do if you can’t find Recycle Bin
The Recycle Bin is undeniably an important place to make files ready for deletion. To put it simply, it assumes some importance but there are times when it displays an unpredictable behavior. For instance, it just suddenly goes missing and even Cortana is unable to find it. A lot of users have experienced the missing Recycle Bin issue in their Windows 10 computers. If you are one of these users, you might have wondered where the Recycle Bin icon has gone and how you can get it back. Worry not, as this post will provide you a couple of options you can try to bring back Recycle Bin in your Windows 10 computer. Follow the given options below to get started.

Option 1 – Try to restore Recycle Bin

It could be that you have disabled the Recycle Bin by accident which is why Windows was not able to show it on your desktop. To restore Recycle Bin, follow these steps:
  • First, click on the Start button and select Settings.
  • Next, select the Personalization setting and then select Themes from the left pane.
  • After that, click on the “Desktop icon settings” link under the “Related Settings” heading. This will display a list of icons in the Desktop Icons window.
  • From there, make sure that you check the checkbox for “Recycle Bin” to make it appear on your Desktop screen once again.

Option 2 – Try to recreate the Recycle Bin

If the first option didn’t work, then it could be that Recycle Bin might have been deleted which is why you fail to restore it. And to resolve this problem, you need to recreate Recycle Bin. Refer to the following steps to do so:
  • You need to launch the Windows File Explorer first and go to the View tab.
  • From this tab, select Options and click on the drop-down arrow and then select the “Change folder and search option”.
  • Afterward, switch to the View tab when the Folder Options window appears on your screen and select the “Show hidden files, folders, and drives” option.
  • And then unmark the checkbox next to the “Hide protected operating system files (Recommended)” option and click on both the Apply and OK buttons, respectively.
  • Next, go back to the File Explorer and click on “This PC” located on the left bar and go to the C: drive.
  • From there, you will find a file named “$Recycle.Bin” located at the top.
  • Open this folder to access its contents and you should see the Recycle Bin icon located at the top.
  • After that, right-click on the Recycle Bin icon and click on the “Send To” option and then click on “Desktop (create shortcut)”.
  • It will then confirm and recreate the Recycle Bin icon on your Desktop screen.
Note: Even though this icon is quite similar to the original one, it actually differs from it. The difference is that you won’t see if fill up when you delete files and you can’t simply empty it by right-clicking on the shortcut. On the other hand, you can still drag items into it just like with the original one. So when you want to empty the content of the newly restored Recycle Bin, you just have to double-click on the shortcut and right-click on the recycle bin in the window that appears, and select the “Empty Recycle Bin” option. In addition, now that you’ve set up the Recycle Bin shortcut, you have to re-activate the “Hide protected operating system files” to keep the important files and folders in your computer hidden.

Option 3 – Try to repair the Recycle Bin

If both the first two options failed to restore the missing Recycle Bin, then you can try repairing it instead. There are times when the Recycle Bin is removed from the Desktop screen due to some corrupted Windows system files. To fix these corrupted system files, you can run the DISM tool. This tool is known to repair potentially corrupted files in your system as having them could also system issues like the missing Recycle Bin. To repair these corrupted system files, you can run the DISM commands:
  • Tap the Win + X keys and click on the “Command Prompt (Admin)” option.
  • After that, input each one of the commands listed below sequentially to execute them:
    • Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /CheckHealth
    • Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /ScanHealth
    • Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth
  • Once you’ve executed the commands given above, restart your computer and check if the problem is now fixed.

Option 4 – Make sure that you are not in Tablet Mode

Since Windows 10 is designed to work on both desktop and mobile devices, it could be that your computer has slipped into Tablet Mode which explains why you’re not seeing the Recycle Bin. To check if your computer is really in Tablet Mode, follow these steps:
  • Go to the Start menu and select Settings.
  • Next, select the System setting and from the left pane select the Tablet Mode.
  • From there, make sure that the buttons next to the options given below are set to the off position:

Changing the Primary and Secondary monitor
If you are using a dual monitor setup on your computer and you wish to change the Primary and Secondary monitor in Windows 10, then you’ve come to the right place as this post will guide you on how exactly you can do that. A lot of users use more than one monitor to be more productive so having dual monitors helps a lot. So if you have more than one monitor, know that you can actually select any monitor as the primary monitor after installing Windows. Changing the primary and secondary monitor in Windows 10 does not really require you to install any third-party application since you can get the job done by simply making some alterations in the Windows 10 Settings panel. You won’t have any problem in making such alterations since it is quite simple – from modifying the wallpaper to scaling and so on.

To get started, follow the instructions given below carefully.

Step 1: First, tap the Win + I key combination to open the Windows 10 Settings app and go to System and click the Display tab. Step 2: Next, look for the Identify button located on your right-hand side and then click on it. This button will help you check which one is the primary and the secondary monitor. Step 3: After that, select the desired monitor that you want to set as the primary one from the drop-down menu. Step 4: After that, mark the checkbox for the “Make this my main display” option. Step 5: After choosing the primary monitor, this will automatically set the other monitor as the secondary monitor. Restart your computer. Fix Windows Update Error 0x80240034
There are cases when you encounter some issues while updating your Windows 10 computer. One of these issues is the error 0x80240034. This particular error is a Windows Update Error that appears on the Windows Update pane every time an update fails to install. When this happens, your Windows Update will only get stuck at 1% and nothing happens afterward and eventually fails. If you click on the View Installed Update History, you will see the error code 0x80240034 for the failed updates. You will see this error each time you try to update your Windows PC. Take note that this issue doesn’t only happen to a specific version of the Windows Update but on various different Windows builds based on many users. What’s more, is that some users are also seeing a different error code when their Windows Update fails but they still end up seeing the error code 0x80240034 when they check the Windows Update history. At the time of writing, it isn’t determined yet what really causes this error but it’s most likely due to some corrupted files in the computer which is why the most common solution you can try is resetting the Windows Update cache. On the other hand, other users also resolved the issue by using the ISO and selecting the “Do not keep previous settings” option during the Windows Update so it might be something to do with transferring the previous settings through the update client. For clear instructions in fixing this issue, refer to the two options provided below.

Option 1 – Try to clear the Windows Update Cache/Distribution Folder

As mentioned earlier, a lot of users tried clearing the Windows Update cache to fix the problem and so far it has worked. Like them, you can try clearing the Windows Update cache by simply deleting the contents of the folder named “SoftwareDistribution” since Windows apparently can’t clear and re-download the update contents once they are corrupted. Thus, deleting the contents of this folder will make Windows download the contents again which will fix the problem. To do that, follow the steps below.
  • Step 1: Tap the Windows key once.
  • Step 2: Next, type in “command prompt” in the Windows Start Search, and from the search results that appear, right-click on Command Prompt and select the “Run as administrator” option from the context menu.
  • Step 3: After opening Command Prompt, type in “net start wuauserv” and hit Enter.
  • Step 4: Then type in “rmdir %windir%SoftwareDistribution /S /Q” and hit Enter.
  • Step 5: Now type in “net start wuauserv” and hit Enter. Once it’s done, try updating your Windows PC again, it should now work just fine.

Option 2 – Update Windows via ISO file

If option 1 didn’t work for you, you can try this second option of updating your Windows 10 computer using an ISO file which means that you will have to create a Windows 10 bootable media and use it to install the latest Windows 10 version. The most user reported that this option works and the reason why it does have something to do with the Windows Update client since the Windows Updates downloaded from the regular Windows Update client seems to create issues such as the error 0x80240034. However, issues like this one don’t occur when the very same Windows Updates are downloaded and installed via an ISO file. Take note that when using a Windows ISO file, you will be asked to choose what you want to do with the previous settings and apps. A lot of users opted for the “Not to keep the old Windows settings” option which has resolved the issue. So if you want to keep the previous settings then you must try to update Windows first while keeping the old settings. However, if it doesn’t work, you have to try installing the latest version of Windows without keeping the previous settings.
  • Step 1: Click this link and then click the Download Tool Now button.
  • Step 2: Next, click the “Use the tool to create installation media (USB flash drive, DVD, or ISO file)…” option and follow the next given instructions on the screen.
  • Step 3: Now select the ISO file option in step 5.
  • Step 4: After that, you should now have an ISO file.
  • Step 5: Next, go to the location where you’ve downloaded the ISO file.
  • Step 6: Then right-click on the Windows 10 ISO file and select the Open with an option and then select File Explorer.
  • Step 7: Now click on “setup.exe” and follow the next instructions that appear on the screen. When asked, you have to select either: Nothing (clean install) or Keep personal files only option. Take note that you must not select the “Keep personal files, apps, and Windows settings since it doesn’t really work.

How to Fix Kernel_Data_Inpage_Error

Kernel_Data_Inpage_Error - What is it?

Kernel_Data_Inpage_Error is a BSOD (blue screen of death) error. Also, know as a 0x0000007A Stop error. This bug check indicates that the requested page of kernel data from the paging file failed to be read into memory. In simple words, this means that Windows has trouble reading from the memory. This can apply to both kinds of memory: stored memory on your hard drive and also the dynamic memory in your RAM. The Kernel_Data_Inpage_Error turns your computer screen all blue, stops the program being executed, and sometimes even leads to abrupt system shut down.

Error Causes

Kernel_Data_Inpage_Error may occur due to numerous reasons. The exact cause of this error can easily be found by going through the code displayed in the parameter of 0x00000007A. Let’s take a look at Kernel_Data_Inpage_Error parameter codes and the underlying causes of its occurrence:
  • 0xC0000009A- This parameter code triggers missing nonpaged pool resources
  • 0xC0000009C- This represents the installed hard disk drive has bad sectors.
  • 0xC0000000E- This indicates a hardware failure or an incorrect drive configuration

Further Information and Manual Repair

No matter what the cause for Kernel_Data_Inpage_Error may be, it is advisable to fix it immediately as blue screen of death error codes are considered to be critical PC errors that can cause serious damages and even result in valuable data loss. Here are a couple of ways to repair this issue on your system:

1. Call the ‘Chkdsk’ (check disk) command on your system.

Windows XP, Vista, and 7 users can call this command, by pressing Windows Key +F and type in ‘chkdsk’ and run. However, you can’t run it while actively using Windows but you can always schedule it to start automatically the next time your computer turns on. Wrap up what you need and then reboot. Chkdsk disk checking process can take a long time, especially on large and slow hard drives. To run this command on Windows 8, open Windows search by pressing Windows Key+ F and then type ‘cmd’. Then right-click on the command prompt and choose the option ‘Run as Administrator’. To continue with the disk checking process, here you will be prompted to provide your administrator authentication. Once you insert the administrator authentication, type the command ‘Chkdsk C:/f/r/x” where the letter ‘C’ indicates the drive you want to examine and repair. Run it to scan for Kernel_Data_Inpage_Errors on your system. Chkdsk command will detect and repair errors on the hard drive and then automatically reboot.

Limitations to this Solution:

‘Chkdsk’ is a value-adding inbuilt disk checking tool in PC new Window versions; nonetheless, this command has certain limitations. It is time-consuming. You may have to wait for a long time for it to scan your system. Also when disk check is running, you will have to stop all other activities on your system. Furthermore, Chkdsk does not scan and fix all registry errors and other PC-related errors. So, you can’t be 100% sure that it will resolve all the Kernel_Data_Inpage_Errors on your PC.

About Browser Hijackers

Browser hijacking means a malicious code has control over and altered the settings of your web browser, without your approval. There are numerous reasons why you might experience an internet browser hijack; however commercial, marketing, and advertising are the key reasons for their creation. Generally, hijackers will force hits to websites of their preference either to increase web traffic generating higher ad earnings, or to obtain a commission for every user visiting there. Nonetheless, it is not that naive. Your internet safety is jeopardized and it is also very annoying. In a much worst case, your browser could be hi-jacked to download malicious software that will do a lot of damage to your computer or laptop.

Find out how to identify a browser hijack

Symptoms that your internet browser is hijacked include: your web browser’s homepage is suddenly different; bookmark and the new tab are also modified; the default browser configurations have been changed and/or your default web engine is altered; unsolicited new toolbars are added to your web browser; you observe numerous ads appear on your web browsers or display screen; your browser has instability issues or displays frequent errors; Inability to navigate to certain sites, especially anti-malware and other computer security software sites.

How it infects your personal computer

Browser hijackers can enter a PC by some means or other, for example via file sharing, downloads, and email too. Many internet browser hijackings come from add-on applications, i.e., toolbars, browser helper objects (BHO), or extensions added to web browsers to provide them extra capabilities. Some browser hijackers spread in user’s computers by using a deceptive software distribution strategy known as “bundling” (generally through shareware and freeware). Examples of popular browser hijackers are Fireball, GoSave, Ask Toolbar, CoolWebSearch, RocketTab, and Babylon Toolbar. Browser hijackers may record user keystrokes to gather potentially important information leading to privacy issues, cause instability on systems, drastically disrupt the user experience, and ultimately slow down the system to a stage where it becomes unusable.

How to repair a browser hijack

The one thing you could try to remove a browser hijacker is to discover the malicious software within the “Add or Remove Programs” list of the Windows Control Panel. It might or might not be there. When it is, uninstall it. Yet, some hijackers will be more difficult to locate or remove since they might get themselves associated with certain important computer files that enable it to operate as a necessary operating-system process. You should think about carrying out manual fixes only if you’re a tech-savvy individual because there are negative consequences associated with messing around with the system registry and HOSTS file. Installing and running antivirus software on the affected computer could automatically erase browser hijackers and other malicious programs. Safebytes Anti-Malware features a cutting-edge anti-malware engine to help you prevent browser hijacker infection in the first place, and clean up any existing issues. Should you upgrade to Windows 11
Windows 11 has been rolling out for a while now so many PC users ask the question is it wise and good to upgrade your Operating System to the latest Microsoft incarnation. No Thank you for reading, cya tomorrow in next article. Windows 10 vs Windows 11Jokes aside, I truly believe that choosing to upgrade your System to Windows 11 at this point in time is a bad decision and I will explain why I do believe it.

Reasons to upgrade to the new OS

First of all, let me say what is good in Windows 11 and provide reasons why you should upgrade your computer.
  1. The new fancy look made for modern computers. New Windows new look, Microsoft has tried their best to bring a new modern look to its flagship operating system and I must say that they have managed it. I could argue that it is a little bit late since Apple had this kind of look in years but hey, better late than never I guess.
  2. Increased security This point is very valid but it will play a role only if you have all system requirements including TPM 2.0. If that is the case new security features of OS are really well done and are perhaps one thing that might nudge some people in installing W11 on their system.
  3. New settings app The New and redesigned settings app inside Windows 11 is really great and it provides a great workflow and easy management of system settings. This is not some radical change but it will save time and make life much easier.
  4. It is better suited to the newest hardware Windows 11 was made with the newest hardware in mind and its performances on it are great so if you are punching the latest tech this reason is sufficient to make a switch, however, if you are still on an older system you will not gain much by switching.

Reasons to avoid Windows 11 for now

  1. Almost just a visual update to Windows 10 Some features of Windows 11 are great but they are not plenty of them to justify a new number and new version of OS. Considering what we really got new under the hood Windows 11 could have been just a patch and update to Windows 10 since the architecture is the same.
  2. Bugs Each day there are new bugs reporting for Windows 11, most of them are at the moment unsolvable and are caused because hardware manufacturers' drivers and software overall is not W11 ready. This hinders the stability of some systems and introduces headaches to others.
  3. Runs poorly on unsupported hardware Strange behavior has been reported on some older systems, granted systems are not officially supported but the point is OS is simply not working at the top of its game on older hardware.
  4. No updates on non supported systems Officially stated if you install Windows 11 on non-supported hardware you will not get any security updated on in. This is a deal-breaker as far as I am concerned.
  5. It is still under development When Windows 11 was released, Android native apps were not working on it, it later came with an update, this is just one example but there are more features that were promised but are not delivered on release and constant updates are fixing these things. It is obvious that Windows 11 is still under active development and not the final product that was promised.
  6. Microsoft’s edge pushing And not just edge, some other things as well but most notably is edge pushing to borders they are risking lawsuit similar as they did in the past pushing and disabling any other browser except internet explorer.

Conclusion

Firstly I want to point that this is my personal opinion but going through facts and taking into account the current state of Windows 11, at this point, it is not worth making a switch. I am sure that in time it will become a system that will be worth upgrading to but until that time comes, my advice would be to stay with Windows 10.

GitHub introduction and explanation
If you are starting to get into the “wonderful” world of coding there is a high chance that you have heard of GitHub or Git for short and there is a slight chance that you might be confused about what exactly GitHub is. If this is the case, we are welcoming you to go through our article and find everything about it and why it is so popular and used all around the world.

githubWhat exactly is GitHub?

If we want to go all technical and just point the obvious we could say that GitHub is basically a WEB site and cloud service used for storing and managing code in all languages. But to truly understand why you should use GitHub and not Dropbox or any storage service instead you need to understand concepts like Version Control and Git.

Version Control

Version control is meant to help developers to work separately on different parts of codes and update is separately not breaking the original one. Take note that this option is meant when there is a big project and has more than one coder working on it. If you are a solo coder on your personal project this might not be anything groundbreaking for you personally. But let’s now assume that you are part of a team and that your task is to edit only one function of a project and other people working will also have their tasks. With version control, you could take only part of the code and work on it and once you are finished merge it back into the main repository. All changes in the main code are automatically tracked and can be easily reverted back if needed. The good stuff is that rolling back can be used only let’s say on a code you submitted and other changes made to the source can be kept. As you can see this makes a very good and efficient working space and a good coding environment.

Git

Git itself is a specific version control system, an open-source version control system to be more precise created by Linus Torvalds in 2005. It is a distributed version control system, which means that the entire codebase and history is available on every developer’s computer, which allows for easy branching and merging. Currently, over 87% of worldwide developers are using Git on a daily basis.

So GitHub is?

GitHub is a profit company that offers a cloud-based Git repository hosting service, in other words, it automates and makes it easy for everyone to use Git for version control and collaboration. It focuses on user interface and ease of use so even beginner coders can use it right away without any large confusion and using command lines and setting it themselves manually. GitHub also has a free personal plan in which you can host a public code repository completely free. This option placed GitHub very popular with open source projects. If you are a company you can purchase a plan to have a private code repository shared only to members of your team or company.

Conclusion

As stated almost every developer on a planet uses some version of Git, many of them are on GitHub and there is a lot of open source projects on it. Some employers even ask to see your GitHub repository when deciding if they want to employ you, think of it as a portfolio for coders. There is not a single disadvantage and not a single argument against using it, especially it has a personal free option. So if you want to look better and more professional in the coding world go, make an account and place some code on it, share it with the world, and see how it goes. You might even get some help on projects from other coders if you need it.

Microsoft Designer, a new application developed by Microsoft will bring design backed with DALL-E 2, an AI image creation open-source software. The new app is shown as a dedicated graphic design tool that will help you in the creation of stunning social media posts, invitations, digital postcards, graphics, and more, all in a flash.

Use of the application will be by typing headings and then typing text into the prompt to generate a background image. Since Microsoft uses DALL-E 2 for image creation output should be fairly good but if you wish you will be able to use your own images instead of using AI to generate one.

microsoft designer

The designer will be a free application once it is ready and it already has a web preview version, also free but with a waitlist. Fix 0x800704C8 Error in Windows 10
When you receive Error 0x800704C8 when trying to move a file inside Windows 10 operation is stopped and it can not continue leaving you with the file in its original location without a copy. Several issues can be the cause of this type of behavior and error and after some digging and analyzing we are bringing you various solutions for this error and how to fix it.

Ownership issues

It turns out that not having ownership of fie can cause this error and prevent you from copying it. For some reason, Windows can assume that file is owned or used by another application or process and thus prevents you from making a copy since you do not have ownership of it. Resolving this particular issue will require you to install a third-party application that is tailored for this kind of task. After some talk and research, we found out that there is a freeware application that can solve this issue quite fastly. Unlocker is the name and the download link is here. Once downloaded, install it and run it. Once inside the application browse to the location where you need to change the ownership, click on it to select it, and click OK. Use the No Action drop drown menu to select Move, then click OK

Antivirus Issue

As with other file and application issues, this error could also be a product of antivirus marking it inaccessible to Windows and thus preventing copy or move operation on it. note: Do not turn off Windows defender since it was proven that it is not the cause of this kind of error, so if you are using only Windows defender you can skip this solution. How temporary turning off each security suite is different and it depends on the application itself we can not cover in detail the procedure here. Go to your security suite manufacturer's website and get information there or if you want, go directly to applications and features inside Windows and uninstall the software.

Visual Studio issue

  • If the file you are trying to move is part of a Visual Studio project then the issue can be linked directly to Visual Studio itself, luckily the solution is quite easy. All you have to do it to exit Visual Studio and then run it with administrator privileges.
  • In order to run Visual Studio with elevated privileges locate its executable file and right-click on it.
  • Choose properties and go to the compatibility tab
  • Inside compatibility tab check box that says run this program as an administrator

Corrupted system files

If the previous solutions have not provided you with results then you have system file corruption that needs to be fixed. Move from one solution to another as presented below:
  1. Run SFC scan

SFC scan is a built-in Windows tool for solving corrupted system file issues, it is fully automated and does not require from the user any kind of knowledge or information. To run it and scan the system do the following: Press ⊞ WINDOWS + X to open the secret menu Left-click on the command prompt (admin) In command prompt type SFC /SCANNOW and press ENTER Wait for the process to finish, do not interrupt it and once it is done, restart your computer
  2. Run DISM scan

DISM scan is similar to SFC scan but it tackles different types of system file corruption and it is recommended to run it also after SFC has been completed. Please note that for DISM scan to be successful you will need a stable internet connection since DISM will replace corrupted files with new ones downloaded from Microsoft. To run it do the following: Press ⊞ WINDOWS + X to open the secret menu Left-click on the command prompt (admin) inside command prompt type: exe /online /cleanup-image /scanhealth followed by ENTER, then type: Dism.exe /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth also followed with ENTER.
