Sadly with this kind of technology comes risks of cyber attacks that aim to steal your information, credit card numbers, or any other relevant stuff which could be used illegally in order to make purchases, loans, and other theft in your name so ones doing that could not get caught. Think of data stealers the same as you think of armed robbers in a dark alley, just this time their pray is data about your life so they can make purchases for themselves more than once. This article aims to provide you with some common logic, tips, and tricks of what should you do and where should you pay attention in order not to provide wrong people with your crucial information and data. we hope that you will find reading informative and helpful.
  1. Keep Windows updated.

Microsoft is working hard on their Windows defender and firewall to provide protection to its users and fixing any introduced security leaks which are found in Windows itself. By updating and keeping Windows updated you make sure that every security leak that is found is patched and removed from Windows and that you have the latest database of known malware inside the firewall and defender. This common practice, however, should not be limited to Windows only, you should update every application you are using for the same reasons.
  2. Use antivirus, anti-malware, and firewall

These applications exist for a reason and that reason is to protect your data. Dedicated applications specifically made for purposes of defending your data are better than any kind of I am careful mentality since sometimes is enough to just visit a website or just click on some link and you are compromised. You can use Windows Defender and firewall if you wish, they are already in Windows but if you are serious about your data and like to surf the internet some better protection is worth the investment.
  3. Get a dedicated password manager

Your password is bad, if you use the same password everywhere then it is even worse. Computers have come a long way in the last 50 years and so have cyber attack applications which make your commonsense passwords extremely vulnerable and all of your accounts open to cyber attacks. Dedicated password managers that can hash passwords and automate them are your safest bet that your passwords will not be compromised, get one, and get it today.
  4. Do not click on anything inside emails

Cyber attacks come in vast variety and one of them is sending you emails informing you that for example your Paypal or anything else has been hacked and that you must click this link to reset your password. These you do not click, no matter how convincing they sound or how good they look, if you need to update your information on a specific service or website, you delete email, open browser and go to that service and change stuff. The same goes with different offers, discounts, women seeking you, men seeking you, prince sending you 1 billion in gold. Only click on links in emails from a trusted and verified source.
  5. Do not click on pop-ups

Similar to clicking on links in emails you should not click on pop-ups, the same rules, same stuff apply as with emails.
  6. Be careful what you are downloading

Be careful from where you download your software and be careful what are you downloading and stop using pirated software, any kind of malicious applications, keyloggers, viruses, etc could be hidden in these downloads, and by downloading them you are opening doors to your private information. Only use legal software from trusted sources.
  7. Never leave your phone or computer unattended

You can never tell who can implement malicious software or get some crucial information from unattended devices, lock them all time and take them with you.
There you go, 7 common tips and tricks for the basic security of your computer. Thank you for reading and I hope to see you again on our site.

Creating a new Windows 10 user account
When we purchase a computer, usually it is meant to be used by one person. Sometimes we would like to share our computer with other people, with friends and family members but we would also like to keep some privacy for ourselves in the process. Lucky for us Windows 10 will let us create multiple user accounts which then can be used by other persons with their own settings, documents, etc. The only requirement is to already have one user account which is automatically created when Windows is installed. This guide will lead you step by step in the creation of a new user account within Windows 10, so grab your favorite drink, and let's begin.

Creating new account

First thing is to click on the windows icon on the bottom left and open start menu, from start menu click once on settings. Windows 10 Star menu with marked settings iconWhen the settings window opens, choose ACCOUNTS on it. Windows settings accounts section selectedWindows will then go to the accounts settings page. Within that page, click on the Family & other users to open the setting for the chosen section on right. On the right settings, screen navigate to the lower section and click once with the left button on add someone else to this PC When add someone else to this PC is clicked, pop up window will appear which will ask you to provide the persons email address and later on the password of his/her Microsoft account, after the required information is provided you are done, a new user has been added and he can use his Microsoft credentials on the login screen to use this computer.

Setting up a user without Microsoft ID

However, if you do not wish to add a new user via his Microsoft login credentials or the person does not have them, on the pop-up window click on I don't have this person's sign-in information. User account no informationThis will open yet another pop-up giving you the option to create a Microsoft account for this person, to use a phone number instead of a Microsoft account, or to create a new email address for the user. Any of these options will create a new user for this computer with provided credentials but there is the last option at bottom of the pop-up which will allow you to create a local user only without a Microsoft account. This user will be able to use this computer, will not be able to transfer his document through various devices like he/she would if using a valid Microsoft account but it could use the computer and personalize it fully to his/her liking. user account new account without ms idOnce the link is clicked, you will be presented with a floating window requiring you to input needed information in order for the account to be created. You will need to provide username, password, and answers to 3 security questions. user account create an accountOnce all information has been provided, click on next and your new non-Microsoft local user has been created. Now when you click on Family & other users you will see that Windows has added a new user with the provided name to this computer. Microsoft Windows does not have a limit for how many users can be on one computer so feel free to create as many as you like.

User account options

Now, clicking on the existing created user will open user options. From there you will have options to remove the user, therefore removing him/her from this computer, note that removing the local user will remove permanently his/her settings and they would not be able to be restored, or you can change the user account type. Fix Error 0x8024a11a or 0x8024a112
What is Error 0x8024a11a or 0x8024a112 ? If you are trying to update your Windows 10 computer and just when you were done downloading the feature update and about to install it, you encounter an error message saying:
“We’re having trouble restarting to finish the install, Error 0x8024a11a, 0x8024a112, 0x80070005 or 0x80070032”
And so to fix this problem, this post will give you a couple of possible solutions. Refer to the options given below to get started.

Option 1 – Restart your computer many times

This is the first thing you can try since there are instances when the Windows Update process gets stuck for a minor thing and restarting the computer usually helps in resolving the issue. All you have to do is click the Restart now button. However, if it does not work, you can use the Power buttons from the Start Menu or WinX Menu. Aside from that, you can also use your power buttons such as Alt + Ctrl + Del to restart your computer. And during the boot process, it is recommended that you restart your computer in Safe Mode or even in a Clean Boot State. After that, you can restart your computer in normal mode. This will make sure that no third-party processes will be able to interfere with the Windows Update process. To put your PC in a Clean Boot State, here’s what you have to do:
  • Log onto your PC as an administrator.
  • Type in MSConfig in the Start Search to open the System Configuration utility.
  • From there, go to the General tab and click “Selective startup”.
  • Clear the “Load Startup items” check box and make sure that the “Load System Services” and “Use Original boot configuration” options are checked.
  • Next, click the Services tab and select the “Hide All Microsoft Services” check box.
  • Click Disable all.
  • Click on Apply/OK and restart your PC. (This will put your PC into a Clean Boot State. And configure Windows to use the usual startup, just simply undo the changes.)
  • After that, try to install the Windows Updates or upgrade again.

Option 2 – Try running the Windows Module Installer

The Windows Module Installer is a built-in service in the Windows operating system that could help you resolve the Windows update error 0x8024a11a or 0x8024a112. You need to make sure that this service is Started and that its Startup type is set to Automatic – you can do this via Services Manager or by executing the command given below in an elevated Command Prompt.
  • Tap the Win + R keys to open the Run dialog box.
  • Then type “command prompt” in the field and hit Enter to open Command Prompt.
  • And in the elevated Command Prompt type in the following command and hit Enter:
SC config trustedinstaller start=auto
  • After executing the command successfully, you should see the “[SC] ChangeServiceConfig SUCCESS” message on the Command Prompt window.

Option 3 – Run the DISM tool

You can also run the DISM Tool as it helps in repairing the Windows System Image as well as the Windows Component Store in Windows 10. Using this built-in tool, you have various options such as the “/ScanHealth”, “/CheckHealth”, and “/RestoreHealth” which could help in fixing the Windows update error 0x8024a11a or 0x8024a112.
  • Open the Command Prompt with admin privileges.
  • Then type in the following commands and make sure to hit Enter right after you type each one of them:
    • Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /CheckHealth
    • Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /ScanHealth
    • exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth
  • Do not close the window if the process takes a while as it will probably take a few minutes to finish.

Option 4 – Run the System File Checker

System File Checker or SFC is a built-in command utility that helps in restoring corrupted files as well as missing files. It replaces bad and corrupted system files to good system files that might be the cause why you’re getting the errors 0x8024a11a and 0x8024a112. To run the SFC command, follow the steps given below.
  • Tap Win + R to launch Run.
  • Type in cmd in the field and tap Enter.
  • After opening Command Prompt, type in sfc /scannow
The command will start a system scan which will take a few whiles before it finishes. Once it’s done, you could get the following results:
  1. Windows Resource Protection did not find any integrity violations.
  2. Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files and successfully repaired them.
  3. Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files but was unable to fix some of them.
